Black Veil Brides - how they’ve changed
Okay, I need to get something off my chest yet again. There are several fans within the bvb army throwing around the “not a true fan” card as a means to insult fellow fans because they have a difference of opinion on certain things (whether that be Andy and Juliet’s relationship or Ashley having a “open mouth insert foot” moment on Twitter about Pierce the Veil) This is something I really don’t care for because fan bases these days seem to confuse obsession for dedication. And that’s not a good thing. I’ve been in a fan base where fans got creepy and even had a problem with stalkers. I often talk about being in Tokio Hotel’s fan base before I was part of the bvb army and that experience wasn’t the best. Sometimes I was picked on for being an adult fan (I’m the same age as Bill and Tom Kaulitz), teenage fans hated my opinions, they would turn on each other and fight with each other, sometimes they would turn on the band if there was something they didn’t like then threaten to leave the fandom if things didn’t go back to the way they used to be (I seem to recall the thing that started the most arguments was Bill Kaulitz’s hairstyles as trivial as that sounds) Now, I am seeing similar arguments from the bvb army as well. (Some of these arguments include topics like Andy and Juliet’s relationship, Ashley’s life, what happened between Jake and Ella, Chris Holley’s death and other topics) Now I only participate in discussions about said people just out of interest but when these discussions evolve into arguments, that’s when I have to step in and say something because it seems like nobody here knows what an opinion is. Fans these days seem to have this idea that a band is more important than their life (believe it or not I have a life, job and responsibilities outside the bvb army. Something I hope you all can understand is important to get by in everyday life) One more thing, I seem to recall a comment made by a younger tokio hotel fan just last year before I left what I now call “Alien Nation” (you can probably guess why) In the comment, she said something about being an “Alien-Belieber” (I’m still gonna go out on a limb here and assume she was a Justin Bieber fan in addition to being a tokio hotel fan but then again, with a comment that weird she probably meant she was an Alien who behaved like a Bieber fan.) As stated I’m seeing similar behavior from fans within the Bvb army and in my experience, that’s not how a “true fan” should act. See, something you don’t about me is I grew up before twitter, Facebook and tumblr existed (and Myspace was still new). How I got information about bands and artists I was into back then was through the official sites or fan sites. MTV was still playing music videos at the time too! I hate to sound like a nostalgia nerd but this is the truth.

As someone who is generally pretty quiet, and has been constantly interrupted and talked over my whole life, I just feel the need to express my genuine love for people who actually listen. People who give me time to talk and promt me to continue if someone interrupts me. I love you. Please keep that up.

So sad to hear about the death of Twisted Sister drummer, AJ Pero. He was only 55 years old. Praying for AJ's family and friends. RIP AJ.
