Did the 23 and me DNA ancestry. I thought I knew what would come up, and there would be no surprises. Whelp turns out it did surprise me. I’m more Jewish than I initially thought. I have no Northern European none. Great Grandpa Steiner, you lied about being German! Also, being Sicilian, I figured I’d get like Spain, Morocco, parts of North Africa, and such. Nope, Egyptian, not only Egyptian but Coptic Egyptian too. I mean, I still got North African, just not what I thought. I got the whole Levantine strip, West Asian, and the Middle East which doesn’t surprise me. I was looking for my Hungarian heritage when instead, I got Polish. Now the extra kicker is I have a tiny bit of Siberian like WTF? Where did that come from? I didn’t even get Russian. Like there is a whole ass landmass my ancestors aren’t from, but a tiny percentage is across the other way. Also, to add the cherry on top, I got a small percentage of unassigned lol.

Don’t get me wrong; I’m not complaining; it was a pleasant surprise. It’s just you think you know what will come up, and still you get a surprise. Also, I like how my ancestry is like; congratulations, you’re white with a bit of spice, lol.

People think this is just a joke but Alan Turing was the inventor of the computer and his sexuality was illegal in his time (which was not even 100 years ago) and he was arrested. They put him on drugs that destroyed his genius brain and committed suicide a year after being covicted. He was gay and a war hero as well. He helped to break enigma which was a German code that they put all their messages through. He shorted WWII by two years and saved so many lives in the process.
