Lmao usually truscum arguments just make me roll my eyes but theyβre latest argument about how βyou wouldnβt prescribe antidepressants to someone who doesnβt have depression so someone whoβs not dsyphoric doesnβt need hormonesβ is so blatantly incorrect that it made me laugh. Doctors often prescribe meds for different reasons, including off-label effects. For instance, antidepressants are prescribed to treat depression, yes, but they can also be prescribed for anxiety as well, and, although itβs getting rarer, bipolar disorder. Theoretically antidepressants could be prescribed for someone who has lost their appetite or is having sleep issues or low energy (idk how often, Iβm not a doctor yet). Many medications are used for multiple purposes. Next time, try to pick a better and more accurate comparison, okay?
iβm not taking iron for anemia, Iβm taking it for restless leg syndrome.
Iβm not taking birth control to prevent pregnancy, Iβm taking it to stop my inside-out uterus from causing me excruciating pain every month.
People can take hormones not because of physical dysphoria, but to give them gender euphoria or a body they feel is more suitable in general.
Also @ truscum/transmeds social dysphoria IS DYSPHORIA and people taking hormones to change how they present are taking them to treat dysphoria
Yeah, their whole shtick seems to be concern trolling now. βWe want to stop the non-dysphorics from taking hormones so they wonβt become dysphoric uwuβ like holy shit itβs absolutely none of your damn business what medications other people who ARE NOT YOU are taking. So you wanna make hormones harder for certain people to access so that theyβ¦ magically become easier for you to access somehow? Like wow, great plan, gg. Totally not self-defeating at all.
Also if I take iron because Iβm anemic, that doesnβt mean itβs bad for a non-anemic person to take iron supplements! It means they are monitoring their health and self! Hormones are the same way!
And then thereβs me who canβt take iron for my anemia, because Iβm deathly allergic to iron sucrose in every form they can prescribe me right now. I have to take it in teeny tiny doses mixed into a nasty-tasting B complex pill. Does that mean I donβt deserve treatment? Of course I do.Β
I take Metformin for insulin resistance caused by being intersex, not diabetes.
I take two types of Effexor XR instead of just one despite the label saying not to mix them, because we determined it was the only thing that was helping my depression and paranoid anxiety.
I have to take progesterone despite being FTM, because I need it to keep my uterus from shutting down halfway and then building up too much and giving me fatal cancers. Does that still make me FTM? Yep! Just because Iβm not on T, doesnβt mean I donβt deserve T when I need it - even if I may need to take it in a modified form, such as Androgel, because I naturally produce enough testosterone to make it halfway.
The idea that because Iβm not absolutely wanting my uterus to be taken out of me is ridiculous. I want kids, so I take progesterone, and also I want to be able to not get cancer, soβ¦ I take progesterone. Thatβs not betraying my gender identity. Itβs just me doing me.
Itβs not anyoneβs business what I put into my body or on what timeline. I am okay right now to not be fully out. Iβm not suffering as much as some would in my position. And thatβs okay. My endocrinologist is of the opinion that nobody should dictate your gender identity or gender timeline but yourself and heβs just there to help people along and check on them from time to time to make sure that everything is working.
My endocrinologist is also of the opinion that truscum and TERFs can both fight him in the parking lot because he will fucking come for them.

Hey everyone we need your help!Β
Spectrum Outfitters is a new company (Est 2017) which will be launching a short binder in February. Currently the resources for trans and non-binary people are usually from America which means that European people have to wait a long time, pay expensive postage fees and pay EU customs charges. WE ARE HERE TO CHANGE THAT. If you are from the UK or a European countryΒ or have followers that areΒ please reblog this so that your trans and non-binary followers can see that this is an option for them so that they can bind safely without waiting or paying outrageous excesses. The more people that see this, the more we can sell, which means we will be able to provide more options and colours and sizes so that lots of different types of people and body types in Europe can benefit from this.
OTHER FEATURES INCLUDE-
Top of the range fabrics: Our outer fabric was used in team GBβs Cycling shorts by Adidas with Stella McCartney for the Rio Olympics. It is a high performance fabric designed to breathe and allow comfort when sweating and moving while maintaining compression. It is also suitable to swim in! There are two more top of the line fabrics used to create superior compression and to stop it stretching over time.
Royal Mail Postage: Your binder will arrive quickly and cheaply using your choice of postage selection 1st/2nd class mail. We will ship internationally using this service.
Tried and tested: We are confident in the performance of this binder which has been reviewed by Jake Edwards. We will be reviewed by some very popular YouTubers within the next month so you can see for yourselves

Thank you!! I'm not sure of any specifically, but I'm sure there must be a few. Followers?(by the way, sorry we haven't posted in a while - lots of stuff going on for all of us)
Other peopleβs labels aren't about you.
Two lines that are often repeated in discussions about gender and sexuality labels are
one - βhow do you people expect me to remember all these words?!β
and two - βwell okay, fine, I donβt care if someone calls themselves this as long as they donβt expect people to instantly know what it meansβ
and theyβre both equally worthless things to say because let me tell y'all: literally no one expects you to remember every single label that people come up with or expects you to on the spot be able to define every label you see in a post or on an about page or on a button at a pride parade.
The creation of new labels is not and has never been about forcing you to remember a thousand different words and their definitions, there isnβt going to be a pop quiz at the end of this post, and I promise you that people who use labels that very few others use are perfectly aware of the fact that most people arenβt going to know what those labels mean and arenβt going to blow up at you for politely asking for a definition.
These labels arenβt about you but about the people who are using them. Itβs about putting a word to their experiences, their identity, their feelings, and what theyβre going through and who they are on a day to day basis. These labels exist for them and for their use and the only onus you have on you is to simply treat them with the same basic respect and decency youβd treat any other person with and not treat them like crap because thereβs a part of their identity you donβt understand.
Educating yourself if you want to and learning more about LGBTQIA+ identities is good but no one is expecting you to memorize all the labels there are and ever will be. Hell, I run a blog that focuses on people with these labels and even I couldnβt name and define most of words people have created and thatβs fine because no one expects me to just like no one expects you to. All people expect is a little bit of understanding about the fact that while you might not get what this word or that word is and why it exists, the people who are using it find comfort in having it and theyβre hurting absolutely no one by doing that.
You donβt have to understand everything. You donβt have to know everything. You very simply just have to not be a jerk and realize that there are people in the world who are different from you and have different identities and needs than you do. Thatβs all.
[Image description - Images of the rainbow pride flag with the text: BEING QUEER MEANS, LOOKING AFTER YOUR QUEER FAMILY, SHOWING COMPASSION, AND SOLIDARITY. End description.]
nb people are allowed to call themselves gay or gai or queer or whatever they want to describe their attraction because surprisingly, we donβt have to live by your rules and what you think we should call ourselves, we live on the fuckin edge π€π»π€π»π€π»
Sometimes the differences between our nonbinary, trans, and genderqueer communities lead to hostility. Even though many of us exist in more than one of these groups, hostility grows.
But in the end we are still a family. Like a good family, our love for each other can overcome our anger.
Because, though different, the day is at least as beautiful as the night, and a night sky is more beautiful with a multitude of stars than only one.
do not use someoneβs dead name / βdead pronounsβ [in arguments] as backlash. itβs rude, disrespectful, degrading, and real shitty.Β
it doesnβt matter if youβve ran out ofΒ βgoodβ comebacks; disrespecting someone else is an awful comeback, anyway.Β
it doesnβt matter if youβre pissed at them- do not use their dead name / dead pronouns
it doesnβt matter if that person is the epitome of dickish assholes- you still donβt have theΒ βrightβ to degrade them like that.Β
βbut iβm transβ β¦ NO. this is irrelevant to the fact that [you] were being a transphobic little shit.Β
Donβt feel pressured to take on other pronouns if you donβt like them.
If people donβt like your pronouns, thatβs tough shit & their problem. Your pronouns are perfect for you regardless of what they think.
