Legit burst into tears when this happened and I have never wanted to rewind something and rewatch over and over again as much as I did for this moment!!!!!!!!

I’m tearing up just writing this because there is just soooo much emotion and life in this moment! This is why live theatre is so amazing and so important. These stories that matter come to life and bring about a whole new existence for the people watching!

Art, theatre, and dance

Recently, as in two days ago, I saw The Greatest Showman in theaters with a dear friend. It was the best 2 and a half hours of my week. The songs were amazing, the director did an incredible job melding the songs into the scenes and the "acts", even though I definitely wanted more trapeze scenes. Zendaya did amazing and she looked beautiful and effortless doing those stunts.

Sidenote: definitely want to learn how to do trapeze stuff.

Anyways, I was blown away. I admit I did cry through 50% of it, not because it was sad, but because I get emotional when I see beautiful art. (I cried in the freaking Uffizi when I saw The Birth of Aphrodite by Botticelli.) The story of The Greatest Showman is a beautiful story of outcasts trying to find their place in a broken world and trying to accept themselves in their own skin. The songs brought that emotion to the forefront of the movie that I wanted to get up and start dancing in the middle of the theater.

If you have a love for art, theatre, dance, or you are just trying to find out where you fit in this tiny broken world, you should go see The Greatest Showman. The soundtrack is amazing and I have lost my breath so many times breaking out into dance in my very tiny living room during "Come Alive" and "This is Me." And all I can say is thank you for awakening a renewed desire to dance and choreograph and sing and spread the love of art and one another through song and dance.
