After ~20 hours, I’m done with Sakura’s crystal dress paper craft! :D

I’ve been wanting to make one of Sakura’s dresses in paper craft form for a long time, but I had a hard time deciding on which to make (because, let’s face it, Sakura has a wardrobe to rival any fashionesta, thanks to Tomoyo). Funnily enough, I didn’t pick this dress based on the manga artwork. Rather, I was inspired by fanarts of it on Pixiv when the Clear Card arc anime aired. The design certainly was a challenge, with the layered feathery skirt, the semi-translucent bow/Flight card, and the floating design of the sealing wand. Still, somehow things worked out, even though I did have to remove some of the original designs I had in mind (i.e. I originally wanted cards floating around Sakura, but with the background the way it is, it would’ve made the piece way too busy and cluttered).

Like almost all of my work, I can’t say I am 100% satisfied with it, but then again, us artists are usually our worst critics, so I’m gonna try to just sit back and enjoy this piece…that is, after I find space on my wall to display it. XD;;
