Washington Post is paywalling the article but it looks like Taylor Farms — a consumer bagged salad brand that also supplies produce to grocers and fast food chains like Taco Bell, Walmart, McDonald's, Chipotle, Burger King, KFC, and Meijer —may be at least one of the sources of the current cyclosporiasis outbreak.

Taylor makes bagged greens, salad kits, chopped salads, the works. Keep avoiding supermarket greens, but keep an especially close eye out for this brand/supplier. The above list of grocers and fast food chains is NOT exhaustive, so please continue getting lettuce and other raw produce taken off your burgers, sandwiches, etc.

Jax really is the ultimate wish fulfillment for self-hating trans women. She repeatedly makes horrible mistakes. She drives away everyone who gets close to her. When Pomni enters her mind palace she gets violently choked to death. She sees insulting caricatures of her closest friends. She sees horrible internalized misogyny and transphobia. And then, buried beneath it all, Jax's heartbreaking alienation of Ribbit. The relationship she ruined all on her own, because of the way she is, which can never be repaired.

Jax is an abstraction, a literal monster. A non-human entity that can't speak or emote, whose main behavioral pattern is to charge violently at whatever moves. Not a complex person, not an archetypal character, just a dangerous... thing.

And despite everything, Pomni still cares about her, still loves her. She refuses to forget about Jax and leave her behind. Because no matter what she tries to tell herself about who she is or what she's done, she IS a human being. She IS a complex person capable of change and growth. And she IS worthy of love. And Pomni won't let her believe anything else.

The tadc finale was created for a very specific reason. It was to tell self-hating queer folk, especially trans people, especially trans women, that they will NEVER stop being worthy of love, NEVER stop deserving to live the life they want to live, NO MATTER WHAT. No matter how much you hate yourself. No matter how horrible you think you are. Even if you ruin all of your closest relationships. Even if you repeat the same toxic patterns of behavior over and over again. Even if you hate everyone. Even if you're too repressed and afraid to tell anyone what's wrong.

I think a lot of people really need that right now. I know i did.
