How to explain modern capitalism in 30 sec.
I know perfectly well that I should follow my bitter orange marmalade on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, but the process seems a little too complex...
My Favorite Movies of the Barcelona Independent Film Festival
The 23rd L'Alternativa Independent Film Festival, which was held in Barcelona from 14 to 20 November 2016, has proposed a selection of really interesting movies. Four, in particular, have caught my attention:
Behemoth, dir. Zhao Liang, China 2015, 95 mins - An alienating behind the scenes of modern Chinese capitalism. More than the fate of those wretched workers, what really hurts is the fact that we can’t even understand what they are doing. The film is dedicated to "those who face the hardship of life", a concept that no longer belongs to Western culture.
Havarie, dir. Philip Scheffner, Germany 2016, 93 mins - How to give dignity and purpose to a bland 3-minute amateur video posted on YouTube; preserve it from the incessant stream of futility to question ourselves on the current miserable state of humanity. It won the Festival's Feature Film Prize.
The Illinois Parables, dir. Deborah Stratman, USA 2016, 60 mins - An hour of pure magic which is very difficult to explain. Deborah Stratman manages to let places talk and share their heritage with an absolutely brilliant mix of large still-shots, old forgotten stories, and evocative sounds.
Heart of A Dog, dir. Laurie Anderson, USA 2015, 75 mins - Like it or not Laurie Anderson is a highly talented and creative person. She has something important to tell us about life and death and choose to do so through the uncertain eyes of her dog, almost without mentioning her famous husband. The result is so addictive that you lose track of time and when the film is about to finish, you'd like it to last at least another couple of hours.
Incidentally, Trump won, but I don’t think it was "the biggest fuck you ever recorded in human history”, as argued in this documentary by Michael Moore. IMHO it's as if the Americans had crushed the button to have more Trump to brighten their shitty days.
No doubt this is the most prolific period in the human history for product marketing. No one seems to care about the real thing and we all got used to eating imagination.

Somebody is using new weapons. Possibly the most dangerous ever seen.
Daydream takes you on incredible adventures in virtual reality. Get ready to immerse yourself in all the things you love.
I love it already. Google’s Daydream View will be my first VR headset.
Occasional alternative traveler.
Now I keep track of my hikes on Wikiloc.

Space Is Only Noise
More than seven years later, this blog was floating aimlessly through cyberspace, just like an orbital debris. I thought it was a good idea to bring it back to life. Let's see if it still can be of any use.

Greendex: How Green Is the World?
According to the National Geographic's 2009 Greendex Report, the most environmentally friendly consumer are in the developing economies of India, Brazil and China. The survey is a comprehensive measure of consumer behavior in 65 areas relating to housing, transportation, food and consumer goods. This year, 17,000 consumers were surveyed in 17 countries. While, overall, consumers felt the economy was the most important issue facing their countries, consumers in many countries registered strong concern about the environment. Many said this concern was one of the top 2 reasons for recent behavior changes. 55% of consumers across the 17 countries agreed they are "very concerned about environmental problems". More findings are available from the full survey at nationalgeographic.com.
