animusviincit:
He had stared on the blank paper for quite some time, when the question reached him. Absentmindedly Wilhelm shaked his head, before actually looking up. The sight almost made him flinch. The hair, the eyes, the features ⊠exactly like he had imagined her. But how would that be possible? Surely there was a more reasonable explanation.Â
âNo, it isnât. And actually I think I could use some company again.â Wilhelm managed to mirror her smile.Â
She craned her neck in an attempt to see what he was writing. But there was nothing on the page. Oh no. Marie needed to know how it would end! She refused to crack open a book and see in what kind of dark and deluded tale history had turned her life. She wanted to read the beautiful words he would choose, hoping he could take away the pain of the inevitable. âI must apologize though if I disturb you. I see you are already working on something.â, Marie was desperate, she needed to know if he was writing again; if her turmoils were coming to an end. âI believe it is the sad fate of mankind that we always struggle for or with company. I could be at French court, surrounded by a hundred noblemen and still feel lonely.â
