My GodDoorman design and my sona [Ao] who’s pathetically in love with him
there was so much propaganda at the time that every job to help the war effort was essential and Steve was still like I HAVE TO DIE IN COMBAT I HAVE TO DIE IN COMBAT
What would the Grace X Rocky ship be called? Wrong answers only.
ghost
Freaking love these placeholder graphics for Ghost Pink (at least that's what they are according tetrabitgaming...)
Especially the second one, wish we could've seen this expression in one of the final sprites heh
librarian in training agott and brimhat coco AU
librarian agott who was burdened by her expectations and coco of her brimhat duties. coco, who one day met agott while sneaking in the tower of tomes, both of them realising and finding solace in each other where they're truly just themselves, stripped from their roles as librarians and brimhats...
coco who loves agott's magic more than anything even when the others don't. coco who wishes nothing but to protect the one thing she treasures, so when she finds agott crying, surrounded by her magic that's ruined and torn apart, decided there's no point for a place that holds it no regard...
coco who tries to bring agott with her, but gets rejected (she knows, she knows it won't work) and agott, who realises the true nature of brimhats, looks at coco the same way witches do: in fear, rage and disappointment... coco, who never appears before agott after that until years later...
(idea originally based from this twt!)
I want a vibe check for Doorman fans: Do you feel Doorman -
A) made his human form himself and its doesn't age/get sick
OR
B) took over the body of a human and just switches to a new body when the current one gets old or sick so he can keep being a doorman without being hindered by mortal limits
OR
C) secret third thing you can tell me
Yapping about Doorman lore...
So I've noticed due to the Deadlock community being new and not a whooooole lot of details concerning the lore being out yet, we've all been filling in gaps with our own interpretations.
(which is new to me because I'm always in 20+ year old fandoms with very few of these kind of situations.)
And because I especially like the Doorman and have been scouring the AO3 tag like a crazy person, i've become particularly interested in the interpretations with his relationship to the Baroness in general. I'm even more interested if and when we're going to get an answer about this whole aspect of his character, but a few of the common ones I tend to see are:
- The Doorman created the Baroness and the building acts as an extension of his power. Usually paired with him knowing everything that happens in the whole of the hotel at all times, though that's normally a common element no matter what for obvious reasons.
- The Baroness is its own entity that the Doorman had attached himself to. I've read a few fics where he can even talk to the building itself, which I think is fun.
- The Baroness is a normal hotel (aside from being in the Deadlock universe and being canonically haunted), and Doorman started working there at its inception. Probably not an *as* plausible conclusion, but I really like when people choose this one and write in a Baroness owner that writes Doorman's checks.
I just kinda want to know more headcanons and what people either like the most or just believe is canon. I personally think option one is the most likely candidate that will be revealed as more lore is created, but y'know, we dunno yet!
There are probably more interpretations at this point as well, which is kinda why i'm posting this out of curiosity for what everyone else thinks ☺️
Today I had a dream where Doorman told me that he's curious to try having a relationship with a human, but actually can't do that because he's still too young for that
My poor 748382726388292 years old god baby... 😭
do you know what's interesting about Doorman? he can be anyone, not just a doorman. he can take on any profession to get close to people and learn about them
the other day I was thinking about Doorman as a dentist, and for some reason that seemed incredibly sexy to me. though I'm not sure what he could really learn from people in that role, other than the fact that we really don't like going to the dentist.
I've also imagined him as a psychotherapist, but that didn't strike me as such a good idea. sure he'd learn a ton of information that would fascinate him, but I'm pretty sure his advice would be... catastrophically bad and that's not even considering the fact that he already knows your fears by heart and can literally get inside your head!
I'd much rather have him get inside my mouth than my mind...
i bet doorman doesnt just respect infernus for being in the service industry like he says, but also because infernus is another person who gave up their former life of causing havoc and torment as they wished with their power to serve and observe.
Thank fuck Deadlock takes place in 1940 or some shit.
Can you imagine if prank YouTubers started a trend of bothering the Doorman? People filming themselves bothering the local cosmic being like he's a cat.
U think doorman does the very mundane human activities like ironing his uniform to get the full human experience or would he despise it i know he mentions something about worrying of blood getting on his uniform but theres a very funny mental image of him doing the wash and ironing and being like "wow, this is very fun."
I imagine he's at the Baroness as like a weird sort of vacation to get away from the compexitity of godly politics and do things the slow and simple way for a bit, with that in mind I think he loves it.
Its like knitting to him, just a simple repetitive task he likes to do to calm down at the end of a long day and they he gets nice clean clothes at the end of it.
Some more UPA Doorman
May I suggest for this concept
