STORY TIME

ok so back when i was in the hospital there was this other kid there named Bry or Bryce or Rye or some shit and he was there for hallucinations/delusions

and he had been there for several months and the hallucinations had all but stopped

and so i asked him why he was still there and he told me,

"oh, it never ends. once you lose your grip you can never quite get a handle on reality ever again. it's like saying a word too many times; it's suddenly all wrong and no one can understand why. this world is not the one i used to live in."

and that was the scariest moment in my life, because even though i had never hallucinated, i still worried that how i saw the world then was how it would always be: dark, desolate, and, worst of all, separate from everyone else.
