It was a pain to pick a scene cause I wanted to draw each and every one of them, but I decided on this one!

So, i was re-watching the pilot eposide and stumbled over that picture of Seviathan and Charlie in the back again. I didn't really pay too much attention to them so far tbh, but now i just realized something:

I'm so desperate for a canon Chuuya and Atsushi interaction. I have so many questions about how their dynamic would be 😭 I wanna know pleaaase.

Like, every time I think about it I'm reminded of how similar they are and how much potential they have for a pretty good friendship. I don't think that'd canonically happen, but one can dream. They're both people who need to be part of something, to be surrounded by people to function, They're self-sacrificial for the sake of that 'family' they found. Stubborn idiots with a lot of love to give despite the world having never offered any of it to them.

And I'd like to think Atsushi's struggles with Byakko do call into question his own humanity for him. It's clear that he does struggle accepting Byakko as an integral part of himself, and I think him and Chuuya are thus the only ones who could really understand that part of each other on a deeper level. Like yeah maybe I do like the idea of Chuuya being the one to help Atsushi control Byakko if/when Fukuzawa is gone, or 'all men are equal' is no longer in effect. Not likely to actually happen, but fun to think about.

It's why the ship is so fun to me, there's no canon to back me up, sure, but there's so much to analyse, read between the lines. It makes it fun, and it feels free too. I can do whatever I want at least I'm not contradicting anything in canon (not that, I care much about that obviously). I love writing about them finding unlikely attachments within each other because nobody can quite understand what it's like to live with a monster under your skin and the fear of waking one day to find you're no longer in control. That in order to be the strongest version of yourself you have to give up that control completely.

It's a terrifying thought, but knowing someone is out there who understands on such a deep and viscerally painful level, can be so comforting. And on a more surface level, I just adore the idea that Chuuya is a gentle lover because he cares so much about people around him. And Atsushi deserves someone like that to remind him he matters, he's wanted.

It's why I'm so passionate about writing for this ship despite there being almost no audience for it, because it males me happy, and because I can make them happy (even though it sometimes requires hurting them for the sake of the story) and every time a person tells me my brainrot has convinced them I'm left a sobbing mess on the floor /pos

This is the most accurate analysis of this ship I've ever seen. This is the EXACT reason I love this pair so much too. I like to add that they complement each other so much. I like to imagine to think they would tell each everything, the good, the bad and everything in between. They would see each other a unfortunate victim to their ability, and that they let themselves be used by their respective familiy for that. But that's okey, because they support what their family/friends does and they're as loyal as the day came. They would cuddle on the couch, chuuya would drink some wine, and trauma bond over everything that happened to them. I know how unrealistic a meeting between these two is, but in my opinion they'd have the most wholesome and healthiest relationship, both of them supporting and relying on each other, always listening and always caring for each other. Just imagine Chuuya and Atsushi having their moment on the roof at night, just laughing over their respective sides and gossiping like old friends. I think both of them would like small dates at night on some roof (Atsushi because he likes high places and the moon, and chuuya cause he likes the view that he can enjoy, perk of his ability being gravity and all :D) , or floating together. I can see Chuuya spoiling Atsushi, cause he never got to do that to someone and he deserves this so much. Atsushi would give him his everything and would thank him with small things like home-made food or a bottle of his favorite wine with his savings, just because he wants to return the favor. They both deserve the world and I like to think that's each other for them 🌻
