[ rody stared at the box for a good while . Mainly cause he wasn’t sure if it was real or not — it did fall from the sky after all . Eventually his curiosity got the better of him and he picked up , tracing his fingers along the design pattern ]

[ he cleared his throat , eyes never leaving Vincent as he backed away slowly ]

“ . . . I — . . . I think you’ve got the wrong guy .”

[ he turned to quickly leave the area and hopefully not run into Vincent again . He decided not to dwell on the ‘another Rody’ part and instead just focused on leaving .]

[ he looked over his shoulder at vincent , eyes wide with tears forming in them . He stared at vince , utterly terrified . He couldn’t move , his feet stayed planted in place the second vince grabbed his sleeve .]

[ he could barely form a sentence , much less speak . His words were slow and jumbled together ]

[ his eyes landed on the side of Vincent’s , he stared at it with confusion and horror in his eyes . Rody rapidly blinked away the tears forming in his eyes and looked back at Vincent’s face .]

[ he choked on his words , pulling his arm away as he stumbled back .]

[ he narrowed his eyes , fear turning into slight anger as he stepped back again . He watched as vincent stared at him , then as vincent focused on the vague burn scars on his hands . He followed Vincent’s eyes to his own hands — memories flooding back to his mind at the sight of the burns and the fact Vincent fucking charbonneau was infront of him .]

“ you’re ! You just — !”

[ Rody let out an angry sound , Impulsively going to run his hands through his hair but stopping himself seconds before . Fingers twitching in-front of his messy hair . However , one part was laid down to cover his left ear .]

“ this isn’t fucking real .”

[ it sounded like he was trying to convince himself more than anything .]

[ his hands twitched , one coming up to just barely hold onto Vince’s arm as it held his shoulder . He wasn’t sure how much longer he could stay like this , how much longer he could keep staring at the man he’d killed .]

[ he looked at Vincent’s neck again , frowning when what he was looking for wasn’t there still . This didn’t make any sense to rody . How was he alive ? This had to be a dream .]

[ rody let out a sigh when Vincent’s hand moved to rest on his cheek instead of staying on his head ]

[ he huffed out a laugh , avoiding eye contact with vince . He still flinched at the touch but a lot less than before . Progress !]

Right...about that. In a short summary, timelines are...a thing. This means there are multiple Rodys, and, well...multiple Vincents, too. So to answer why I'm not dead--which, I still don't know why I would be--I'm not from your timeline. I'm not the Vincent you know.

[ he stared at vince with a bewildered look . This was already unbelievable in the sense he was looking at a dead man , but now said dead man wants him to believe that there are multiple timelines that have just decided to merge for some fucking reason .]

[ Rody let out an angry sound , Impulsively going to run his hands through his hair but stopping himself seconds before . Fingers twitching in-front of his messy hair . However , one part was laid down to cover his left ear .]
