Darcy closed his eyes and sighed. “Look, its like this. You ever meet someone and like, you just, you just wanna commit all sorts of horrible murder to their person? Cause like, every fuckin time I hear his stupid little name, or I hear his stupid fucking voice or I’m forced to look at his fuckin face I sorta just wanna, you know, stab him. Like as the least violent option. Fuckin stuck up ass mother fucker. Even his name pisses me off. What sort of a name is Gears? It ain’t one.”

Wis nodded along, agreeing with the horrible murder part. “Yeah, I work with a lot of people like tha--” She stopped. Her foot almost hit the brakes, but she played it cool. “Gears, huh? He wouldn’t, ya know, happen to also be a scientist, right?”

"Hello agent wis! How are you doing?" Her arm is bleeding and she looks tired. ~ dr-moth

“Fine, ma’am. I’d ask you, but you’re looking a little worse for wear.”

“Yeah…” Darcy sighed. “Its really too bad I can’t see him more often….if only it weren’t for that machine named, emotionless, stone cold mother fucking bag of dicks who I would very much like to…..” Darcy trailed off and took a few deep breaths to clam himself down. “Right anyway. Anyway. Where are we goin for this acid or whatever?”

Wis smirked. “Not too far off. Just a couple of more blocks.” She pointed. “Sounded like you were about to go off there. Something about a bag of dicks?”

“Oh god ain’t sure where to start. Um, he’s pretty short, like five sevenish? He’s hella smart, a scientist actually. But ah, unfortunately his job keeps him away from home a lot…. Anyway. Yeah he’s adorable, and like nerdy, and like, I dunno how to explain he’s just….” Darcy had been waving his hands around during his descriptions of the doctor, caught up in trying to find the words.

She nodded, not looking over so she could keep an eye on the road. “Short for a guy, yeah. I’m glad you found someone you really like, though.”

At the mention of him being a scientist, and one who didn’t like to talk about his job, perked her up for a second. Then doubt crept in. Darcy was “cool” so it wasn’t possible he’d date a Foundation scientist, right? Knowingly at least.
