did you know? every single one of katherine's costumes were remade when the original paper mill playhouse production transferred to broadway

you can see most of the changes in the costume designer's drawings

during the broadway previews (i believe) she used to wear a bowtie in her "something to believe in" costume but they altered it to the version above

Jack & Davey are interesting foils of each other in a couple of ways but right now I’m thinking specifically of how they interact with the Newsies during the strike

Jack, always, doesn’t really know what the next thing out of his mouth is gonna be and during the strike he’s really flying by the seat of his pants. However, he says things with confidence and is completely convincing

Davey on the other hand has lots of common sense skills and a strong understanding of the current & future implications of the strike. Unlike Jack though he can’t make it sound pretty or communicate it in a way that makes people listen

#The short version of this post is Jack was bs-ing his way through the strike but he has a magnetic personality & Davey understood what was #happening with the strike but he doesn’t have control over a room that same way #I just think they’re neat #And Katherine rounds out the team with lots of enthusiasm to what she’s saying & knowledge to back it up but she’s naive & not very grounde #jack kelly #davey jacobs #newsies #mine

Ooo good questions! I’m so sorry this has taken me forever to get to!

For favorite moments it’s been too long since I last watched to give an actually good answer but off the top of my head 3 lines I like are “and before you say water is nothin just ask a fish… in the desert”, “on accounta Oscar can’t count to twenty with his shoes on”, and “you got in for free at least pay attention”

Favorite songs is So Hard but top 5 right now are Once And For All, I Never Planned On You, Carrying The Banner, Santa Fe, The World Will Know. I’m big into the group songs right now :)

Favorite costume EASY: anything Miss Medda wears. She WINS the costume contest without a competition but my all time favorite is the one she wears at the end with the gold and like…. maroon??? Idk what the exact color is but it’s STUNNING
