Hawk dropped his bag off in his quarters with a sigh before immediately going off to the mess hall. It had been a long three months since he had last been on the base, and he was so ready for any cooking that wasn't in the form of a MRE.
Luckily, he had arrived at a time period in the day when they were very few people in the mess. He would be able to eat in relative peace, thank God.
It seemed like there were only a few others in the mess hall, taking a sniff, he recognized a few betas, and omega or two, and two alphas. One of the alphas he knew, Natasha who was (though she would never admit it) his best friend.
He quickly grabbed a tray and plopped down in front of her. "Long time no see, Red"
She shot him an unimpressed look. "I thought you two weren't allowed in the same room?"
Hawk shoved a fork full of food into his mouth, "Who two?"
"Nevermind. Close your mouth, heathen"
He gave her a wide grin, but kept shoveling food into his mouth. He was curious about who she meant though... Who was he not allowed to be in the room with? Nobody ever told him anything....
She pulled away from his cock, letting go of it with a pop. “I know you said you wanted to ease us into this round, baby, but you’re killing me,” Bobbi whimpered, rocking her hips as she rest her head on his thigh.
He flicked his tongue against her clit once more, before resting his head back against the bed.
"Well what do you want baby? Tell me what you need."
Bobbi waited until she’d caught her breath before sitting up, turning around and straddling his hips, rubbing her sopping folds against his length as she felt the edges of the itch come back. “I need you, love. Inside me, please,” she pleaded. “I’ll be okay.”
😲
Hawk had had a long couple of weeks and needed some personal time for some... relaxation.
He hadn't taken the time to do much of anything besides lay on his bed and yank his pants down below his waist.
He was getting a good groove in when his door cracked open.
Disgruntled, he looked up to see who couldn't even bother to knock.
"If you aren't joining me, I'm gonna need you to wait 10 minutes"
He grinned, "I would like that. I used to not mind training the new recruits, back when we were getting them from the military or other agencies. Now, we seem to just be hiring straight out of High School to kids who aren't qualified. Do you know, one of them asked me the other day what a 9mm was? The range master almost had to hold me back."
“They what? I would’ve smacked them, the range master be damned for trying to stop me,” she snorted in aggravation. “And I’ll see what can be done about where we get recruits instead. We don’t have time for ones that are babies and don’t know anything; they need to have some working knowledge, make our jobs easier.”

“You know you’re not supposed to be in here without your lady chaperone, Your Highness… What would your mother say?”
Bobbi shook her head with a grateful look. “That’s true. I’m very happy you’re all right and that not only was no one injured, the damage was exceedingly minimal. He should still be practicing with someone and with the proper precautions around him, like you required that I do when I was learning.”
The King smiled, “I think he learned his lesson this time. Right Parker?”
“Y-yes sir, I mean, Yes Your Highness.”
Hawk sighed, rubbing at his forehead. “Come here Parker, let’s figure out what punishment suits this crime.”
The younger man groaned, knowing that he was about to in for a long exhausting work out.
“Don’t worry Parker, the rest of the men can join you in solidarity.”
“What?! Barton if I do a push up today, I’m gonna hurl.” Bucky said with a huff.
Bobbi pressed her lips into a thin line but didn’t say anything; there wasn’t anything she could do, though she could talk to her mother and see if she agreed.
At Bucky’s words, she rolled her eyes with a snort. “What, did all of the fighting with a fire tire you out, Knight Barnes? Shall we see if your lady approves of your solipsism?” she teased, smirking.
Bucky’s jaw dropped for a moment, before he schools his expression.
“Come on, Barnes, we’ll turn it into a competition. Whoever can beat me in numbers gets out of training for a week straight.”
The men all shout in happiness, clambering at the idea they could get a week off.
King Coulson chuckled, “You chose well love”
“And any cheating disqualifies the person doing it, and they have to do double the work as a consequence,” Bobbi called out to Clint as a suggestion.
She blushed at her father’s words. “Thank you. That means a lot to hear you say that, father. Clint is the head of Royal Guard, but…these are our forces, and I wonder sometimes if you think I’m fit to be leading them with Clint,” Bobbi said quietly.
The men groaned, but Hawk winked at her. “Brilliant love! Couldn’t have thought of a better idea myself!!”
Hawk jogged with his men, gripping the back of Peter’s neck on the way and shoving him along until they reached the training fields.
The King smiled, “There was no one better suited than you, darling. You would have commanded them just as well if Clint hadn’t been your husband. The only difference is now they are your friends, not just your subjects. That inspires loyalty more than anything.”
“That also goes for the captain and co-captain of the Royal Guard! Both of whom should be setting an example,” she called out with a smirk at Clint. “No cheating for you two, either.”
She nodded with a small smile. “I’m sure mother would have something to say about that, being that she’s never wanted Sharon or I on the battlefield, but we both needed to go our own ways. And I’m glad that you and mother allowed that when most parents wouldn’t have done so. And they’re our friends, but we all had you and mother as our examples both in how to be led and an example in what a partnership should be.”
Hawk grinned and waved his hand in acknowledgement to her command as he jogged to the training field. Steve, on the other hand, groaned and followed after.
Coulson brushed his hand down her hair, “Well. You know how my father reigned. He was a horrible tyrant, to his people and to his family. I wanted to be better, and your mother helped me with that. I instilled everything I learned into you and your sister. I’m glad that I’ve been able to do such good in my time here on Earth.”
Bobbi nodded her head in return, a smile on her face as she watched the men pair off on the training field to begin practicing.
She scrunched her face up like she’d smelled something foul at the mention of her grandfather. “He was awful, I remember that I disliked seeing him at court or in private. And I remember that he wasn’t fond of mother but I don’t remember why. Was it because she wasn’t a traditionalist queen and she did something new?”
Coulson shook his head, “It was because your mother wasn’t a Princess, love. She was the daughter of a Duke, and her Uncle was the King. He had no daughters of his own, so arranged the marriage for his only niece and myself. My father thought we were weakening our royal blood line. Also, he didn’t like the fact she bore my only daughters.”
Bobbi’s mouth fell open in shock; she hadn’t know that about her mother, nor about their relationship. “I’m not sure what surprises me more: knowing that mother was never royalty herself, that you didn’t care and went against your father’s wishes, or that you went with an arranged marriage. I always thought you and mother married for love. And as for my grandfather, he can rot for having had those opinions,” she huffed.
🛌
Hawk woke up slowly, letting out a soft groan.
"Shit... I'm too old for all-nighters" He looked over at Bobbi, shocked that she was still in his bed. He had always assumed that if they ever got together, it would be a one-night stand kind of thing.
Her still being there was kind of... nice?
Yeah, it was nice.
But he was still too old for all-nighters.
If he had been ten years younger he could have gone all night, gotten an hour of sleep, and be ready for another couple of rounds.
Not now though. Now he just wanted to take a hot shower and slap an icy hot on his back.
"I'm too old for everything, shit" He grumbled to himself as he slowly rolled out of the bed, trying not disturb Bobbi.
“Let’s look at that, and who had the most and least accurate predictions,” Bobbi murmured as she made a few adjustments on the spreadsheet. “Looks like it’s Greer, Tony, and weirdly, Carol Danvers.”
“Yeah, them living with you was when a lot of us were on the run, and they were on again, so it’s for the best that you didn’t see them like that. This way you can get to know them as they are now. They’ve made it this far, they’ll be okay. Or else there’s not much hope for the rest of us,” she joked wryly.
She nodded and cracked some eggs open into a bowl, whisking them together. “Yeah. They’ll manage just fine, I think. In any case, I’m sure they’ll appreciate breakfast once they’re done talking. It smells great so far.”
————————
Bobbi smiled softly and placed one of her hands on top of his, loosely threading their fingers together. “Is this okay?” she asked softly. “I should’ve asked first but…touching you was, is nice. Comforting.”
“I know you don’t, babe. You’re one of the most passionate and intense people I know, but it also means you jump the gun a lot. The only thing I can suggest is to try and ground yourself, count down from ten, and then ask the person what their deal is. If they’re having a go at you, then explode. But if they’re not, and most usually aren’t trying to have a go at you for no reason, then that gives you a chance to sort it out.”
Bobbi nodded in understanding as she listened, squeezing his hand gently. “I don’t want you to end up like that, either. What we could do, if you’re up for it, is try and see if your counselor can do a session with you or ours with us online. That way you don’t have to wait till we get home.”
Bucky nodded and put Natasha’s omelet onto a plate for her. “Here, why don’t you start and I’ll finish up this stuff,” he said. “It’s all really close to being done, and it won’t take me long to scramble the eggs.”
He went back to the stove and began to serve up some of the other things he had on. “I hope we can wrap this mission up soon. I think it’s putting too much stress on all of us. I wanna go home to my cat.”
He nodded. “Yeah. It’s okay,” he said, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze.
He swallowed and nodded. “I can try the counting thing. It’s hard in the moment when I’m seeing red. You know? But I have to try something. I can’t just keep blowing up at everyone.”
He ran his hands through his hair. “How much longer do you think we’ll be here? I’d rather not do a session with them around. It’s hard enough to talk to them when it’s just me.”
“Thank you, lyubov, both for making this and taking care of finishing up. It looks and smells delicious,” she said as she took her plate from him, kissed him softly and grabbed a couple pieces of toast. Natasha cast a slightly wary look in the direction of the living room. “Should one of us let them know it’s ready, or let them come get it when they want?”
She nodded in agreement as she buttered her toast; she felt the same way. “So do I. I miss our apartment and our bed but I miss our cats more. And it is putting quite a high amount of stress on all of us, which is not good. I’d much rather we were all home instead of here. Maybe we see about all four of us being swapped out if we’re not done with the mission soon.”
————————
Bobbi smiled reassuringly and nodded; she got exactly what he meant. “I know, babe. I have my own moments like that too, even if I don’t show them all the time. And you’re right, you can’t; it would only take one ill-timed blow-up with the wrong person to make them do who knows what to you. I definitely don’t want to be on the receiving end of a phone call where something bad has happened to you because of an altercation between you and someone else that could’ve been avoided,” she said gently, rubbing his hand with her thumb.
Bobbi frowned as she observed him, shaking her head in response. “I’m not sure but I can try and find out today. I want to go home too, believe me. I miss Lucky and Ka-Zar. And how do you mean with them around? Bucky and Nat? They won’t care that you’re in therapy, love. And if they do, we can talk to them about it but I’m pretty certain they’d be nothing but supportive. I know Bucky’s also in therapy for his own issues.”
She bit her lip apprehensively as she wondered how best to ask the question. “Are you okay? It’s….you seem a little on edge or something. Or are you still upset with me for something I did?” she asked carefully, shifting a little uncomfortably as she was unable to hide her uncertainty.

"Thank you," He said with a sniff. "I would make a great trainer."
“You absolutely would. Might take you a little bit of patience, though, being that you don’t like the SHIELD recruits as it is,” she teased lightly.
"Well that's because all of the trainees are dumb and they should know it. I'm not mean to the trainees that know what the hell they're doing." He said with a huff.
Bobbi smiled and nodded, having seen him with the recruits. “Well, the trainees are new, in their defense, so they’re still learning. Maybe we should see if we can get you off of their training schedule and get you just with the more seasoned recruits,” she replied, kissing his cheek.

"I'm too old for everything, shit" He grumbled to himself as he slowly rolled out of the bed, trying not disturb Bobbi.
“They are, but they care about us. They’ve all been wanting us to get together. Did you know there was a betting pool about when we finally would?” she said with an eyeroll.
"Really? Who won??"
“I think it was between Steve and Greer, but I’m not sure. The fact that they placed bets on us is something where I’m not sure if I’m mad about it or not,” Bobbi replied, shaking her head.
"I am. If I really they were placing bets, I would have scewed the results to get some money out of it. We could have been fake married right now on a honeymoon in Cabo."
“Oh there’s definitely money involved from what I’ve heard, assuming that’s correct,” Bobbi chuckled, an evil grin on her face. “And technically speaking, we could still do that. Screw with the results, I mean, though we’d have to lie to do it.”
"I don't mind a little white lie if it skews the results in our favor. Let's figure out who has the most money on the bet and what date they put down."
Bobbi chuckled and grabbed a tablet, searching for a couple of minutes till she found what she was looking for. “Here we go, the betting pool about us. I made sure to look at in incognito so they don’t know it was me.”
“It is, but last night was personal for them, too, and we nearly had to get in there. I’d much rather that we didn’t have to insert ourselves into their stuff, and I don’t think it will come to that. If all else fails, we can just lock them up in a closet until they get along again,” Natasha joked.
She nodded, a pensive look on her face. “A lot of us that knew them back when they separated weren’t sure if they’d make it through or not. It was pretty bad between them and stayed that way for awhile. It took them being apart for months and marriage counseling along with both of them going to therapy separately for them to get back together and get this far. I don’t think they’d throw everything away that they’ve worked so hard for.”
———————
Bobbi sat and listened to Clint patiently, wincing here and there. He wasn’t wrong; she had judged him without meaning to do so, and she needed to own that if they were going to move forward. “You shouldn’t have, you’re right about that but also that I judged you. I let my fears for what might happen take over and I assumed the worst, and I’m sorry for doing that,” she said softly, swallowing hard as she wrapped her arms around her stomach.
“I don’t think you’re broken, not in the slightest. Actually, the fact that you’ve gone through everything you have and you’re still here makes me admire and love you so much. Which is also why I’d never look at you like someone who just wants to take his frustrations out on me through sex. How I phrased that was wrong, and I’m sorry. I meant for it to be that I was trying to offer you different options of ways I could help you and that there weren’t limits on that and how I could help you if you wanted, but it came out wrong and accusatory without me meaning it to,” Bobbi sighed deeply, digging the heels of her hands into her eyes to stave off tears.
“I know you did, babe. And I’m sorry for how I reacted. I’ll try to be better about that in the future, and making sure I clarify things first,” she murmured, taking a shaky breath.
Bucky nodded. “Yeah. I mean, there was a little bit where the two of them were living on my kitchen floor, but mostly I knew Clint after they broke up and I figured it was bad, but mostly we just talk about you. So I didn’t really know how bad.”
He put a couple of pancakes on a plate and poured some more batter. “I guess whatever happens, happens. We just need to let them hash it out.”
He reached over and put his hand on her leg as she spoke, hoping that the physical connection would act as some kind of reassurance that he wasn’t about to run off again.
He took a deep breath and let it out through his nose. “I’ll try not to get too defensive and over react. I don’t mean to do it. I just can’t think straight when I think people are having a go at me for no reason.”
His eyebrows knitted together and he looked up at her. “There’s got to be some way to do it. Most people don’t just yell like that. I don’t want to end up like my dad. But I just seem to be getting closer and closer every day and I don’t know how to stop. I guess when we get back I should go see our counselor or something.”

"Calm down, stop squirming. If you can stay still, I'll give you want you want." He said firmly, squeezing her hips.
She grumbled softly but relented, not moving her hips at all. Instead, she slid her lips fully around his length with a soft moan as she sucked on him.
Hawk groaned softly, before burying his face between her thighs. His tongue jutted out, licking a line up and down her slit.
Bobbi moaned around his cock, taking more of him in as she began to bob her head. She used her hand that was touching him to stroke his length in time with her mouth, trying not to move her hips.
Hawk kept his hips still, trying to make sure not to choke Bobbi in the position they were in.
He licked another stripe up and down her slit, before circling her clit with his tongue.,
She sobbed in pleasure at the feeling of his tongue where she wanted it, grinding her hips against his mouth a little. “Please, babe,” she begged, her voice muffled as she sucked on his length.

Natasha smiled as she grabbed a mug and poured some into it for him, cocking her head to the side. The sounds of soft conversation made their way to her ears, making her nod. “Yeah, let’s leave them to it. We don’t want to intervene unless things get out of hand and after last night, I’m hoping they don’t.”
She made a cup of coffee for herself, doctoring it the way she liked it. “Think they’ll be okay?” she said quietly.

She was glad when he took the aids from her and put them in; it meant he was willing to talk and listen, at least to her. Listening to him explain where he’d been coming from brought clarity but it also hurt to hear that he thought she would do any of those things. Clearly she hadn’t done something right if he thought she would judge him for having a drink, and even worse, that he thought she was accusing him of being an animal that only… “I wasn’t judging you, I would never do that, and I’m sorry that you thought I was. I don’t expect you to be perfect; I just didn’t want you to use it as a coping mechanism like you used to before when we were separated. I hated hearing about you being in that kind of a state back then and knowing I was partly or fully to blame for it, which made me scared that you were going back to that because of everything that’s happened on the mission. And I’m sorry for how I said what I did; I didn’t think about how it would sound at the time when I said it. And when you got louder, I just…my mind went back to how we fought before and all of the yelling and I couldn’t process it or how quickly things escalated.”
Bucky fell quiet, trying to make out what they were saying in the living room. They were being a little too quiet and the noise of cooking was a little too loud. “Maybe we shouldn’t intervene at all?” he said, shrugging a little. “I mean, this isn’t work shit. This is personal. I mean - I’ll talk to them if they want, but should we be inserting ourselves in their personal shit?”
He shrugged. “I think so. Hard to say though. I mean they’ve been through worse, but if you can’t settle after it, it might just eat away in the long run, right? I guess it depends on how they grow.”
Clint curled in on himself and pulled his knees up, wrapping his arms around his legs. “I shouldn’t have yelled at you. Not after all that. I just - I mean you were judging me. You thought I was going to go get drunk because I’m some kind of alcoholic. I just wanted a beer because things had been so tense and I didn’t even get to open it before you were telling me that I should be doing something different.” He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. “When we were broken up, I was really down. I didn’t want to feel anything. So I drank and I slept and I’d go to work and then do it again. But that’s not now. I don’t want you looking at me like I’m broken. I definitely don’t want you looking at me like I’m someone who’d want to take my frustrations out on you through sex. Especially when you’d just told me how you’d been raped.”
He took a deep breath in and out. “I just wanted one drink, Bobbi. I’m sorry I yelled at you though. That’s no excuse.”
