When I read fan-fiction I only read x reader, none of that character x character stuff. I’m a player not a watcher.
finally getting around to watching the DDBA florida supercon panel and i’m halfway thru when i realize im just staring at wilson and not really listening to anything 🫣
Ngl it's very funny to me that there are mcu fans who don't know about aos and think that Coulson just stayed dead after the Avengers. Like wdym you don't know that he had a truly magical beach holiday that resulted in him carving alien patterns into walls? You didn't hear about how he jumped out of a plane with explosions all around him and managed to aim for the titchy portal to another planet where the squid guy who inspired the devil lived?? That he was imprisoned in a digital reality where he was a history teacher who made his own soap?? That his kids missed him after he died slightly more permanently so they made an alien robot with his memories and personality??? Yeah he was even ghost rider for like five minutes
and fuck garrett, i hate that mf, but i gotta give it to him, his acting game was STRONG 😭 the scene with him interrogating quinn is so much different upon rewatching, knowing garrett's asking quinn about shit HE ordered. he truly played such a good game for a while there. unfortunately
every time marvel uses a agents of shield plot line an angel dies
I don't think there is a single Marvel production that has been disrespected more by the MCU than Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Bc I don't get it. I really, really don't get it. This was the first show to be set in the MCU, written to be woven in with the movies, constantly referencing them, including cameos, furthering their plots, doing every bit of heavy lifting
But the MCU never referenced them back. Never bothered to have a throwaway line or picture or two-second scene. Never bothered to mention what could be happening on the ground. Always open-ended, always AoS having to make it work and justify everything. Never the movies. ALWAYS the show
And now we are in a new era of Marvel where the older content is being stitched together in the greater thread of the MCU. Matt Murdock and Kingpin both showed up in "No Way Home" and "Hawkeye", respectively, and soon, the rest of the Defenders followed suit. We have Jessica Jones and Luke Cage in "Born Again", and s3 is sure to feature Danny Rand with Finn Jones
Yet AoS is nowhere to be seen. We have to rely on scraps, tiny mentions from singular producers offering nothing but "well, we hope to work with those stories again". Fuckass "Inhumans", the show basically nobody likes, was included before AoS. How the actual hell is that fair??
They want to prop up Gosling as Ghost Rider as though Robbie Reyes never existed. They'll happily steal the storylines we did better and pretend they aren't canon. That they didn't build that framework. They would rather do anything but include them and I'm so so tired. I don't get it
Kevin Feige needs to grow tf up
perfectly said bc it genuinely ENRAGES ME whenever i think about it. like AoS is the BACKBONE to so many plot holes yet can’t get a damn CAMEO of recognition in the movies??
The agents of shield fandom right now
For every thing that Marvel does there's a good chance that agents of shield not only did it first but also did it better. The team have been secretly invaded and replaced by enemies and the remaining characters must figure out who's who? Yes. "What If...?" Yeah just without the question mark. A character uses the Darkhold to create an alternate universe where she gets everything she wants and alters other character's memories to force them to play along? Yup. A "champion of Hydra" with tentacles? Uh-huh. The multiverse? Time travel? Inhumans? A race of beings who watch over the timeline and one of them breaks protocol to help the heroes? A season where there are fun time skips to different decades every other episode? Mmh-hmm. A beloved character is killed off but the actor is brought back as a separate villain? Well you're never gonna believe this
adding to the list: ghost rider
(if we go by mcu standards)
trying to stay positive about the new ghost rider announcement, but i’m internally still devastated and mourning gabriel luna’s ghost rider in aos
i cant wait for the fanfic rise that will inevitably come with doomsday
the best fanfiction you've ever read was written by a woman in her 40s before she made dinner for her kids. it was written by a teenager after school when they should've been studying for a history test. and a barista came up with the idea while they cleaned the espresso machine and busser fact-checked it on their break and the post-doc edited between writing grant proposals and the nurse apologized for typos in the notes after a long shift and behind every drabble and one-shot and multi-chapter fic there is a person with a wonderful and interesting and chaotic life and it is such a privilege that we get to be apart of it because they decided to do this thing we all share, for fun.
i don’t think we talk enough about the fact that agent may’s mom was a spy when may was younger. like the impact that probably had on may to join shield and fight for the world from the shadows like her mom did?? i wish we could see more of may and her mom’s dynamic too bc they seem to butt heads a lot, but it’s probably bc they are so similar right??
i love Millie Alcock’s Kara. she’s messy, she’s an alcoholic, she’s rude, she doesn’t have a love interest, she beats the shit out of pedophiles and dismantles their sex trafficking ring in the process. she carries the grief of an entire planet because she doesn’t think Clark, whose heart is so optimistic and so desperate to see goodness in people, can handle it. she gets her hands dirty so that a child doesn’t have to live with the guilt of murder. she’s not ditzy, or just some sexy hero girl for misogynists to objectify and drool over. she’s strong, she’s smart, she’s confident, and she’s good
She's a superhero. She did cosplay outside of Stark Tower. She's a hacktivist. She's a former conspiracist. She's part alien. She broke into area 51 and met the love of her life. She has two different sets of parental issues. She was raised by nuns and has religious trauma. She begged the devil to take her back. She begged a different devil to kill her. She's had an endless trail of blood following her around since before she was born. She was the #1 suspect in causing the apocalypse. She's a high school drop-out. She hacked Shield with a laptop she won in a bet. She was appointed director five years later. She's a wanted vigilante. She's a dork. She's the Destroyer of Worlds. Daisy Louise Skye Tremors Quake Mary Sue Poots Johnson there will never be another character like you
if this doesn’t convince you to lock tf in and watch agents of shield… idk what will y’all
Alphonso Mackenzie they could never make me hate you
ANYTHING but letting coulson stay dead
