I do find the reactions to ai girl kind of jarring. A lot has changed in regards to the progression of LLMs and chatbots, but robot x human stories are like over half of all sci fi romances put out in the last century. Its not that weird! Not necessary to like it ofc but im kind of confused why people have been acting like the premise is foolish when its common in television, film, novels and an increasingly salient topic in our current conditions, where ppl are treating chatgpt like a therapist and regurgitating anything given to them by an LLM.

I also find the reactions annoying bc robot x human LESBIANISM is a wonderful springboard for thoughtful discussion considering how often women who are forced to stay home, perform domestic labor, and never speak until spoken to are paralleled w robots in popular media. This discussion and these kind of representations are decades old, AI girl isnt the greatest show of all time by any means but how do people expect TGL go grow or to get any new and interesting stories when they balk at anything they dont immediately understand? Virtue signaling by making fun of an extremely popular premise for laughs does not progress make!
