A war between land and sea has been going on for as long as she can remember, forcing her to hide her identity from her people and the man she loves. Little did she know, he figured it out a long time ago and it does not change his feelings for her.

A wrench is thrown into their relationship when during her search for infomation on the mermaid hunters she stumbles across his family tree. This is news to them both but she struggles to believe it. Will his family ties break them or will they work through it together to end the war?

We can even make this part of the Once Upon A time world if you want.
