The relationship GRRM has with his fans reminds me of a wife who has continually asked her husband to please finish building the treehouse, the kids really want to go into the treehouse, but instead of finishing the treehouse he builds another treehouse but you can only get to it by going through the unfinished treehouse and it has no floor and the husband is going "but look at this beautiful treehouse I just built you" and the kids are like "CAN YOU PLEASE JUST FINISH THE FIRST TREEHOUSE WE LOVE YOU A LOT AND WE APPRECIATE IT BUT WE ARE ALMOST 30" but he also WON'T LET ANYONE ELSE TOUCH THE TREEHOUSE

Shoutout to Johanna Swann who was mentioned in tonight's episode. Despite tragic circumstances of being kidnapped, trafficked, and sold into sexual slavery by the triarchy, she became the famed courtesan, the Black Swan, and eventually rose in influence and became the unofficial ruler of Lys. 👑 She is also the ancestor of Lady Ravella Smallwood (nee Swann) who was so kind to Arya in the Riverlands in ASOIAF.

The Neo-Gothic hunting lodge in Promnice (southern Poland) was built by Jan Henryk XV in 1861 on the artificial Paprocańskie Lake as a hunting and rest area. It is connected with the castle in Pszczyna by a historic oak alley. Today, this building houses the luxurious hotel “Noma Residence”.
