this may be an unpopular opinion but I actually enjoyed season 5 and thought it was one of the better seasons. season 1 is still the best imo but I thought season 5 was very reminiscent of season 1. there was something about it that struck the same chord as watching season 1 did. like over all the story was pretty cohesive and well acted (penn delivered as always, but charlotte ritchie was a surprise i liked her way better this season) also, don’t get the forced bronte hate? I feel like beck was given the same treatment. hmmm. weird. it’s almost like the last lines of the show are trying to tell people something…

was the finale the best finale of all time? nah.

were there still plot holes? oh yeah. (don’t want to give spoilers)

was there stuff i would have changed? fuck yeah. (also don’t want to give spoilers)

there’s one line in the finale that penn delivered that gave me chills (I was waiting for it the whole time) and I hope his performance is what people remember when they think of the show and not just the “joe goldberg” social media effect of it all.

anyways… good job, you.
