Hollow knight animation commission - meet Rhea, @kctheowllady's oc!
Below the step-by-step process used for this commission, if you're interested!
Since we're in the year of the horse now, I thought about finishing this piece I had left behind - featuring: Epona, the most loyal horse ever!

Sitting and sprite resting animation (-.-)
I was really looking forward to doing this one ^-^ I'm starting to realize I am probably doing these too complicated (too many frames), maybe I should try to make them simpler in the future, idk Next thing I'll do is trying to implement the last two sprites I made into my unity project, let's see if I can ^-^' Otherwise, I'll begin doing the next sprite animation: run Until next time!
Hollow Knight jump sprite animation complete!
It took me quite a while to make these ones, but they're finally done :) Jump + airborne +landing/hardlanding/super hard landing sprite animations. Next on the line: sit to rest sprite animation

I decided to start posting the first part of the jump animation, with a simple landing. I still need to finish the cape and sword fr hard landing ans super-hard landing Looking forward bringing them to you soon!
Update on my Hollow Knight sprite animation progress
It's been a few weeks since my last post, so I thought of sending an update in the meanwhile :)
A simple PV player movement with the animations I did in the past days!
A few yt tutorials later, I was able to create a simple player movement on Unity with my sprite animations!
A big shout-out to MoreBBlakeyyy, whose videos on yt helped me achieve this - if you're interested in 2D game development, definitely go check his videos!
While I was able to reach the result I wanted, there are definitely areas to improve on my code, and in the future I'll probably have to revisit some part of it if I plan to add more movements. But it's not bad for a first step.
I'll probably work on making a rest animation for PV next time, or maybe I'll make him draw his sword, or jump even. Either way, see you next time! [Fan project of making a player character. Character is Pure Vessel from the videogame Hollow Knight by Team Cherry]

Here it is - the walk animation! Actually, there's four sprites in this gif: the idle animation from last time, the transition from idle to walking, the walking and at last, the transition from walking to idle :)
As for what sprite to do next, I still haven't decided, so it'll be a surprise!

I made a sprite idle animation for Pure vessel, I'm challenging myself to create a PV character. Next step will be the walk cycle :]

Brief story behind this animation:
I had fun with the UndertaleModTool and changed Kris's bedroom's colors (Deltarune) from orange to a pale blue; it's so satisfying to see the changes applied when you play! But then I realized I changed the mood of the room adding a cool color, so i made a third version with green walls - I think it's my favourite out of the three! Do you think I improved it? Or do you preferred the original? Either way, I think I'll modify some more assets in the future!
