Yaaaassss, Queen Tatiana!
Sestra done did it!!
I mean, there are probably worse views to wake up to on your birthday. Possibly. š
I have been asked to be the featured āillustrator in the spotlightā for an article about myself and my work - such a huge honor!
I need to answer several interview questions about myself. Ā And I would really like some input from all of you on one of the questions:
What three words would you say best describe me?
(I can't reply for some reason :( )
Hardworking , kind, joyful
I love this age: Child: *whinge* Me: "Here, play with this...thing..." Child: *rapture, delight, #bestteetherever* Me: #winning
Getting my Truby King on: as we finally have some decent weather, and Miss Mouse fell asleep on her walk, I'm taking advantage of the sunshine and fresh air.

Iāve decided that, on the mornings that Tim flies out to work, rather than rushing to work early, Iām going to indulge in a little self care. Elizabeth is safe and happy at daycare, so this is my extra hour for a mug of coffee and knitting before the dayās labours begin.
Veggie prep: purple carrots, sweet potato, brussel sprouts, butternut squash, parsnips & jerusalem artichokes. š #eattherainbow #goodgut
View from the sofa . Clever husband designed an amazing house - no matter the temperature outside, this room is gloriously warm and cosy during the day. #nofilter

Update
I shouldnāt be on here because I have got so. Much. Work to do, but as I havenāt updated properly since E was 12 weeks old and sheās now 9 months old (jeepers!) I guess itās probably as good a time as any.
We have moved into the new house (yay!) even though itās nowhere near finished (boo!). It was just time, though. The spending no time together thing was getting very old, very fast, and even though it will take months to get the house to 100% livable condition, we will be there as a family (happy heart!). We have one more week on our lease at the rental to get it cleaned up and ready to hand back and then that chapter is behind us. No more rent, no more power-crazed rental agents, no more inspections, no more ugly, badly designed, drab and dreary rental properties.
Work is just crazy and Iām so behind. Itās good, but not good - I absolutely underestimated how hard it would be to juggle business, baby and building. The stress has been taking its toll - I am worn to a ravelling, as the Tailor of Gloucester would say - and I have had (and continue to have, truth be told) doubts about my ability to mother, to wife and to slay in business simultaneously. But you weather the storm and hope for calmer waters by and by.
Elizabeth, ah sweet Elizabeth! She is beautiful and cheeky and clever and charming and ridiculous all at once. Honestly, I thank my stars every day for her. Motherhood is tough (fatherhood is tough, too, I would imagine), and we all struggle at this part or that part; my patience has been running thin just as she is starting to assert her independence, but she inspires me to do better, which is just how it should be.
Facebook brought up a picture of me in my triathlon wetsuit the other day as a memory. It made me a little sad; all my fitness has vanished into the mist of work and motherhood and house, and I canāt seem to bring myself to do anything about it. I am trying to eat more fruits and vegetables, at least; say what you like about Lean Cuisine ready meals and their ilk, but at least itās reasonably balanced, and better than chocolate and chips for dinner.
Anyway, thatās all there is to say really. Once I have things a bit more ship shape at the new house, and there are less boxes filling up my physical and mental space, then Iāll do a wee tour, if you like. If youāre still here, still reading, please say hi.Ā
Sometimes you just need the long weekend to last a little longer...

Don't worry, Shadow, it's our last move for a very, very long time. #tminus1day #thefluffnessmonster
I'm in a gigantic stress hole at the moment (house, moving, work), but I am FEELING my hair today. š
