Charging my phone when it tells me it’s running out of battery is the adult equivalent of when i fed my tamagotchi
Been laid up with a knee injury this week, so reading and doodling it is! It's funny, I'm on here all the time and yet, I rarely post anything. It feels weird to be putting something up, especially a drawing!
It’s crazy that as a species we can transplant organs, build AI and travel to space but we can’t all just get along
When I light the candle tonight I won’t think of the hate that has brought humanity to the doorsteps of savagery. I won’t think of the evil that has overshadowed the good in many minds. Instead, I will think of that particular moment in time when humans decided humanity wasn’t a religion worth fighting for.
Romancing Life (via romancinglife)
My heart goes out to Brussels and to the world tonight. There are honestly too many attacks, cities, and lives lost to be able to list them all anymore. If only the world were a little less cruel and a little more kind. "We have a long way to go before we are able to hear the voices of everyone on Earth, but I believe that providing voices and building bridges is essential for the World Peace we all wish for." -Joichi Ito

Impressionist Cityscapes Through Lovers’ Eyes by Leonid Afremov
A professional artist since 1978, American artist Leonid Afremov graduated from the prestigious school Vitebsk Art School, originally founded by classical artist Marc Chagall. Inspired by the work of the latter, Pablo Picasso, Amedeo Modigliani, and Salvador Dalí, Afremov’s work is purely emotional. Every scene is a reflection of his feelings, emotions, passions and anything that feeds his soul. For this reason, he often chooses to cover the beauty of young love, romance, and the grandeur of cityscapes, which often glimmer as brightly as his paintings during the night.
The vibrant and highly saturated colors of Afremov’s work mimic his inspirations, although his technique emulates Camille Pissarro’s and Claude Monet’s impressionist brush and Georges Seurat’s pointillistic style. By combining the soft flare of depicting images and figures with the contrast of pixelated sharp colors, Afremov delivers stunning and stimulating pieces. You can find more of his beautiful pieces on his Etsy shop.

Most of my problems in life stem from the fact that I’m an introverted night owl living in an extroverted early bird’s world.

The latest in quick doodles before the good copy and before it gets taken to a tattoo artist. I actually had fun doing this one with the shading and blending, and the receiver really likes it as well, so it worked out well!

My Christmas "tree" because I couldn't actually afford one. It counts right? I mean, they were technically trees at one point.
