@ahumblebountyhunter
Why did you start smoking?
To be honest, I can't really remember. I think it had somethin' to do with rebelling against my dad and tryin' to act cool.
But now I just do it outta habit.
Yes and it can suck.
“Yeah, yeah, sounds good to Spike.” He shrugged off non-nonchalantly. “How far away is not too far, Ed?”
“Walking distance!~ Well, if Spike thinks a couple miles is walking distance..” She giggles, doing a little roll, using the momentum to get herself onto her feet.
"A couple miles? Ugh...well it could be worse, I guess," He let loose a sigh, "C'mon, before I change my mind."
Session 25: Bebop Live--Spike's Samba
“Huh?” He looked down at the pad, and then back up at the girl, a quizzical look on his face. Never had he have to sign for something. Sure, an I.D was asked every now and then, but never a signature. Something seemed fishy, but Spike wasn’t going to dwell on it too long. “Alright, kid. If you say so.” And so he signed the paper, clear as day, before reaching into his pocket. “…Ahah!”
“It looks like I must’ve left my wallet at home. You don’t mind giving a guy a freebie with the I.D thing, do ya?”
“Spike.. Oh! Spike Spiegel?” She asked, looking up from the paper. “You have something on hold from my manager.” Sadie placed the notebook down and hurried in the back.
“J-just a moment!” She came back after a couple of moments with a package. “T-this is on the house apparently. The note says it’s for you.”
He blinked once, taking the package and looking it over, "Oh? Annie always did have a way with givin' me things I couldn't afford."
"Maybe it's alcohol and protein this time. Who knows how long it's been since I've had either of those," He teared at the package, not even stopping to look at the note.
“That, I’m gonna leave up to you. Since we both know neither of us can cook, you find the nearest, cheapest place and I’ll pay.”
“Just don’t…get somethin’ nasty, alright?”
“Nasty nasty?~ Why would Edward want gross food?~”
The ditz pounds away at her keyboard for a bit, before falling onto her back and grinning up at Spike. “Fast food, fast food, Ed found greasy burger place not too far away!~ Sound good to Spike?~”
"Yeah, yeah, sounds good to Spike." He shrugged off non-nonchalantly. "How far away is not too far, Ed?"
Session 25: Bebop Live--Spike's Samba
“Uhah, right. Well, I don’t really see a point in getting the manager. Just get me a pack of smokes; the cheapest you have please.”
“Y-yes, of course..!” She muttered, getting some off the shelf. The teen hurried and placed them on the counter. “S-store policy says you must sign b-before I allow p-purchase..” Sadie gulped, holding a pen and notebook out to the bounty hunter.
"Huh?" He looked down at the pad, and then back up at the girl, a quizzical look on his face. Never had he have to sign for something. Sure, an I.D was asked every now and then, but never a signature. Something seemed fishy, but Spike wasn't going to dwell on it too long. "Alright, kid. If you say so." "It looks like I must've left my wallet at home. You don't mind giving a guy a freebie with the I.D thing, do ya?"
“…Sounds ‘bout right. No bounties, huh? Well lucky for us, I managed to snag a couple on my trip.”
“You up for some cheap food that’s not in a premade container?”
“Yeesss!~ Though, where would Spike get not pre-cooked food on Bebop?”
"That, I'm gonna leave up to you. Since we both know neither of us can cook, you find the nearest, cheapest place and I'll pay."
"Just don't...get somethin' nasty, alright?"
He flicked the cigarette around his lips, an unimpressed scowl on his face, “Gee. Thanks. Ever think about being Santa Claus? You sure got the gift giving and figure for it.”
“Maybe if you weren’t such an ass I’d share my whiskey.” she grlaredd at him as she reached into the small brown bag she had set down on the couch. “But since you’re so full of joy… I think I’ll keep it to myself.”
"Well aren't you just a ball of holiday spirit. Didn't anyone ever teach you how to share, Faye?"
“You have to work to get a extended vacation, Ed. Damn, what happened while I was gone anyways?”
“Ed works! Ed does all the computery things.. And noooot muuuccch.~ Ed diverted a little food to Bebop and other than just.. Lots of sitting around..”
"...Sounds 'bout right. No bounties, huh? Well lucky for us, I managed to snag a couple on my trip."
"You up for some cheap food that's not in a premade container?"
“There’s a lot of things I’d like, but few I can afford m’afraid. You uh…you alright there?”
“Yes…?” She squeaked quietly. “S-sorry.. I, uh.. I’ll go get my manager..”
"Uhah, right. Well, I don't really see a point in getting the manager. Just get me a pack of smokes; the cheapest you have please."
“You? Kind? I knew you were a gambler, Faye, but not a liar. Just what’s this little gift of yours anyways?”
“I’m full of surprises though, you just never know what I might do next.” she grinned while reaching into the pocket of her red coat to grab the so called gift, “Here.” she said while tossing over a key chain that had a little race horse on it.
He flicked the cigarette around his lips, an unimpressed scowl on his face, "Gee. Thanks. Ever think about being Santa Claus? You sure got the gift giving and figure for it."
“Well…okay then.”
“Uh.. is.. is there anything you’d like, sir..?” She asked. The girl hid behind the counter of Annie’s store.
"There's a lot of things I'd like, but few I can afford m'afraid. You uh...you alright there?"
