so important to remember coconut curry exists

Basic Coconut Curry

dice and sautee a bunch of (red or white) onions, garlic, & ginger

add choice of protein

add choice of veggies

add broth, coconut milk, and curry spice mix

cook on low heat 20 min

add sugar, salt, pepper, and lime juice (optional)

serve with rice or flatbread

BOOM. curry. never kill yourself

This is almost exactly how I make it, but if you wanna add some extra oomph without getting too fancy, I also toast the curry spice mix in sesame oil before adding the coconut milk. Toast it until it looks like the spice mix is excreting its own oil, add and mix in a bit of water and then wait for it to evaporate, and repeat that once or twice. Takes about 5 minutes and deepens the flavor a bit if you wanna try it. I think it's called blooming the spices?

“It doesn’t need to be perfect, it doesn’t need to even be good, I just need to get it done.” Was the spirit of this project. After years of perfectionism, and making little to no art and writing at all, the idea for Your Green Palm in Mine hit me like a freight train and I somehow managed to produce all this. 
I never initially expected to actually finish it- much less make it as long as I did, but yet! Here it stands, completed, 3 times the length of its original draft, 9 months later. 
The community that has grown and flourished from this project has (damn I keep saying this) surpassed my wildest dreams! And so thank you! Thank you. For reading! For your support! For all of your love. I have always wanted to impact people, and I never thought I could, or would be able to, but here we are! Thousands of you! Thousands of people who have resonated with my story and the themes I wanted to express. You have all been amazing. 
This won’t be end of the rocks. I’ll keep posting about them here now and again, and one day, I may come back and make another serialized comic about them again. “Bracelets” is currently in pre production! But for now, I need to let them rest.

Doomed siblings have me on a chokehold in a way no trope can ever achieve. Something so gut wrenchingly beautiful about two kids going through unimaginable trauma and coming out damaged forever. I always eat it up. Maybe they stay together and find solace only in each other, used and kicked out by society! Maybe they end up on opposite sides of the war! Maybe they end up betraying one another! Maybe one of them dies haunting the narrative forever! Maybe one of them destroys the world for the other! So many endless tragic possibilities!

There was a tv show called "one day you're going to die". In it was a family, but every so often they would float up (like a png). If they float offscreen, they die, so everytime they float up there is desperate scrambling to pull them back down. The rest of the dream was me living in this universe, except you also had to hold hands with two people before you fell asleep (timed event). It was like some sort of bizarre game.
