Huh. Now that was a GOOD one. Placing her guitar down and taking the question into true consideration, the hollow ‘thump’ of it’s wooden body reverberating against the wooden log that she was sat on, Dana ruffled her digits through her lions mane -- brows knitting together in deep thought. There were plenty of things she would have done, if she was telling the truth. The top of the list was go for a pee... It had to be WEIRD not having to sit down and wipe the delicate folds of your FLOWER. Ugh, why were women described as such gentle objects -- men got all of the tough descriptions when it came to phallus. Then there was going to the gym... Comparing her natural weights and capability to her newly found physique. Hell -- she’d probably even C A T C A L L someone, just to see the stupid gratification that curdled in her stomach, leaving a bittersweet taste.

Despite all of this, there was one thing that Dana was truly curious about. Nobody cared about the wallowing, miserable, depressing bitch sat in the bar behind a guitar. Nobody bothered to look up and listen when her symphonies followed through the microphone, spilling out to the floor and flooding through the doors of every bar she had ever performed in. Why was it that even when it came to music, there was an ENTIRELY different perception of males? The blue haired therapist had seen it too many times. Take one of her most recent patients as an example; Jackson Trudeau. He was a rockstar.

“I’d go and play for a band -- go to a live show and see how many people threw themselves in my direction. Do you know how DISHEARTENING it is being the girl that gets judged for doing what she loves? Yet, when it comes to guys, it’s almost expected of them to be the party dick ROCKSTAR who does drugs and gets laid. Yeah, I think I’d do that.”

Being curled up next to her BEST FRIEND in front of the campfire and enjoying a few cheeky drinks underneath the MEXICAN stars was something that Dana would have never predicted. It was the very least they deserved… Months ago, they had come walking into a hospital, with no expectation of what they were going to face – interjecting between other people’s jobs and having to get settled as their own boss took on the hospital as his own. Admittedly, Robert wasn’t the FRIENDLIEST of people… He could be intimidating, scary and downright mean at times. That was why it had surprised Dana when Jared expressed that the pair were close. It just made no sense. There was the kindest man in the world, stood next to the cruellest individual in the galaxy. As minor chatter bounced in between pairs and small groups, Dana found herself glaring at the tutor – who seemed to be the slightest bit drunk. His sapphires were narrowed – vision clouded by the alcohol, a smile barely passing onto his lips as he seemed unbothered about eavesdropping on the conversations of others… All the therapist could do was STARE at him with an admiration, her spare hand lightly pushing on his shoulder as if to knock him on his back.

“Hey – drunktard. Stop worrying about her. It’s a little game – I told you that she’s probably done this with her own pals before. Plus, as long as you didn’t ENJOY it, I’m sure you’ll be safe.”

Before she could finish her MOTIVATIONAL speech, bottle lightly swinging as her hand gestures followed with her dialogue, Dana’s chocolate irises were TORN away from Sebastian – who had just wraped up his conversation with Elise. Jeeze, it was so OBVIOUS that he had a soft spot for her. Why were adults so BACKWARDS about confessing their feelings to one another? Teenagers did a better job of doing so and although they used childish phrases, such as ‘I like you’ and ‘be my boyfriend’. Perhaps that was coming from a place of stubbornness though… Dana hadn’t really experienced her share of relationships. She wasn’t as socially awkward as Jared, but she had experienced enough of her own issues to completely warp her feelings on dating.

Declaring next to her that it was HER turn ( for the third time ) to spin the bottle, the brunette raised her bottle to clink it to his glass – before completely downing the rest of her drink and burying it in the sand. As she was propped up from her elbows, the beauty flashed a grin at Jared who was laid inches away from her – shaking her head in DISBELIEF that she had to endure her third go, whilst he had only kissed Piper twice. “You spin it for me, Seb. Go on – make it a HARD one.” And with that, the doctor took charge of the bottle – twirling its neck into an everlasting spiral, the rim of it H A U N T I N G the circle of people that were surrounding them. Having had a little too much to drink now, Dana’s own sense of reality had dissipated. She wasn’t really paying any attention to the people around her – she was more focused on the fact that her best friend was beating himself up over the situation now that alcohol had made its impact on him. It wasn’t very often that Jared did drink, so when he did finish off his two tins, the intoxication feelings that came crashing on him really weighed down heavy. With a sigh, the therapist placed an arm on his bicep – to gain his attention again and before she knew it, Sebastian’s voice came CRASHING back in as if he was shocked.

With corrugated eyebrows, Dana peered upwards – the bottle pointing directly towards Jared, as if to CHALLENGE her with a threat. Oh, man… He was already pissed at her for talking him into this and telling everybody that his ‘strep throat’ as a LIE but now he would have to accept a kiss from her. Dana knew that Jared didn’t mean to hold a grudge, nor did he want her to feel bad… He was more concerned about his girlfriend ( but NOT girlfriend ) and what her reaction was going to be when she found out. It wasn’t like Demi could be pissed at him for kissing Dana, right? They were practically brother and sister. As her nose crinkled, lips pressing together as she mentally prepared herself – the blue haired beauty barely moved, staying in her laid position and placing a warm hand to Jared’s cheek – her lips diving in towards his begrudgingly, as her nose collided straight into his before she pulled back with a giggle.

“Look, the more you pretend to enjoy this – the less obvious your relationship will be.”

Although they weren’t in synchronisation with the kiss so far, they usually were with EVEYRTHING else – they normally worked like two peas in a pod, being able to read one another and help the other like no other could. What Jared and Dana shared was more than a friendship… It was a BROMANCE – despite the fact that she had a pair of tits. Taking a deep breath and trying again, Dana pressed her lips against Jared’s – turning her head to the side, as he turned his in the opposite direction, both finding something that worked with them. She could tell that Jared wasn’t completely into it, but he appreciated her advice and was willing to take anything that kept his relationship concealed. As her tongue lightly flickered over his upper lip, too afraid to explore the insides of his mouth, the music therapist screwed her eyes shut – as if she was counting to ten, waiting to be able to pull away, but to her own surprise, Jared had turned his head in the opposite direction. She doubted that it was to switch things up, maybe because that very same position was beginning to grow tiresome – although she suspected he was DYING to feel connected to someone, seeing as Demi could not be here. As their lips continued fighting onward, Dana felt herself growing lost in the kiss – almost forgetting the fact that it was Jared she had hold of. Hands found their way around his shirt, her body leaning in slightly before she pulled back – inhaling a gasp of oxygen, chocolate irises raising to look at her best friend.

The therapist had let that get a little bit more passionate than she had been planning – Demi would probably come and kill her first but it was all in good nature. In fact, the second that she had accepted who it was – Dana soon went back to feeling disgusted. Never in a million years did she want to learn how good a kisser her best friend was… Although she could now see why his patient girlfriend was so intent on staying around. A cheer elicited from the people surrounding her, a showcase smile lifting to her lips as though her fingers had just played an incredibly sad piece on the old piano on the WEST END. And soon enough after, the game continued but Jared was still sat their, sapphires glazed like some sort of lost puppy.

“I’m willing to call this game QUITS if you are.”

Having already kissed one girl, Dana didn’t think that this game of spin the bottle could get anymore RISQUE – although all of that changed until the bottle landed on somebody who she was not expecting. Now, the beauty wasn’t shallow… She was rather open to a lot of things, which was why she did not draw the line at stereotypes; whether you were male, female, transgender, non-binary, alien – Dana didn’t particularly care. She allowed people to live the life that they wanted to lead, whilst she lived the life that she wanted to lead. That was why she had eventually broken away from her mother – she deserved BETTER than that… Which was perhaps, why she found Hayden even more attractive.

To be honest, the blue haired therapist didn’t expect the bottle to land on her – let alone, realise that she was sat there… She was so quiet, observant, thoughtful. Hayden was a MOM. She had a little girl who resided at the Institute – somebody who Dana had not really had the pleasure of meeting. Considering her mood swings were often up and down, it wouldn’t have been fair to put them in the same room – although Dana could control herself. She wouldn’t just lash out on a child, although she could sometimes be much SNAPPIER. Flashing the woman a sweet smile, Dana let out a sigh as she pulled herself up and kneeled down in front of the woman – the spotlight having already left her now that her magical kiss with Piper had graced the eyes of everybody else. Sure, like every other party goer, she had kissed numerous people in bars – but never in front of all of her colleagues. Pressing something short and sweet to the medical interns lips, Dana let an exhale flow through her nostrils – lips quietly battling against Hayden’s as she seemed to just ENDURE it.

There was always something EXHILARATING about having to kiss somebody that you didn’t know… Not that she went around doing it often, but if she was in a bar or a club and the moment felt RIGHT, then what was the issue with it? It was only a kiss – it wasn’t as if she was straight into bed with the mystery man ( or WOMAN ). To be honest, the second Sebastian had even suggested spin the bottle, the blue haired beauty was ENCOURAGING it. There was zero harm in a little ice breaker – and what better way to get to know your colleagues than watching them get absolutely shitfaced and ruin their lives. Dana had always been somebody to laugh her mistakes off in the morning, despite how much the stories would cause her to cringe – stomach churning in embarrassment. The best way to get over it though, was to find humour in it.

Perhaps that was why she span the bottle with a beam ripping at her cheeks, pearls glistening with each flickering flame the fire raised – it’s yellow, orange and red sending waves of danger into the sky – thick grey clouds rippling into the night time sky and polluting Cancun with ashes of wood. As her fingertips glided across the green neck of the bottle, watching its everlasting arrow pointing across the face of each person sat around the campfire, Dana chewed on her lower lip – an excitement burning at her tongue.

As the bottle continued to pirouette against the makeshift table, Dana’s pools of chocolate lifted up to take in the tension across everyone’s features. Jared sat there with his teeth gritted, begging that it didn’t land on him because he was too worried about ‘CHEATING’ on his girlfriend, who wasn’t even a girlfriend. Eden’s fingers twirled around her bottle of water, sapphires shifting around to continuously check on Becca. Sebastian leaned forwards, hands clasped in excitement, desperate to see who Dana was going to have to get down and dirty with… The list went on but everybody looked, just as tense – the suspense RAISING into the air, overpowering the fumes raising from campfire which was still burning.

Muddy irises continued to glaze over the bottle until it slowed down, coming to a halt at twelve o’clock. With a smirk raising to each corner of her lips, apple cheeks growing rosy with ANTICIPATION – as her view was clouded by red flames to be met with another fire – her dimpled features colliding with the rather taken aback qualities of a beautiful redhead. Never allowing her confidence to falter, the therapist pulled herself up, pushing Sebastian back down to the sand after his assistance in pushing her up. As excited as she felt just seconds ago, there was a nerve that circled inside of her stomach now – it was still just as thrilling however… Just because she wasn’t in a bar with beaming music fuelling her adrenaline, the IMPULSE within Dana had drowned out – slowly but surely. She refused to let it show, however… She was such a go easy person, that was the first to jump up when a challenge was offered – she was just going to have to SWALLOW the fact that was about to throw herself in the direction of not just any colleague, but a new colleague.

As her jean clad thighs carried her over to the intern, Dana gave a warming smile – lips curving up in the direction of heaven as she held her palms out to pull the girl up, making their kiss seem like more of a performance. There was a warmth within Piper’s hands; one she didn’t expect to feel as her palms collided against the redheads. “I know we haven’t officially met but first impressions are everything, supposedly. I haven’t exactly had the best track record her so I’m going to make this one count.”

And before the beauty could respond, Dana found her fingertips crawling along Piper’s jawline – digits curving against the sculpture of her features whilst petals came soaring inwards, pressing her lips against the redhead. Although there wasn’t any real spark there, Dana knew that they were going to pull away from one another, onlookers SHOCKED by how effortlessly the music therapist had crushed the challenge – and she did feel half sorry for Piper, being in the firing line as somebody new to this works atmosphere.

As their noses brushed against one another, Dana used her digits to tilt Piper’s head to the left – whilst hers took the lead of the right. Whilst she kept her tongue to herself, her lips were no stranger to exploring other girls’ lips and from experience – they were always warm, soft even… Women had better synchronisation than men. Perhaps it was the rhythm. Women just had more of a pace, a balance of what was right and that was because they EXACTLY what they liked. Air flowed slowly through her nostrils, in and out, in and out until she broke away from the redhead – teeth biting down as her lips spread apart into a nervous giggle... “I’m sorry. There you go guys, shows over. Sebastian, it’s YOUR go.” Spinning around with her arms extended, the blue haired beauty found her way back to her spot in between Sebastian and Jared, offering Piper a friendly smile from across the campfire.

S’mores after midnight [staff]

Having been invited to a little s’mores after dark get together by her boss Sebastian for the staff members, Piper gave the indication that she would think about joining. There had been a lot that was going on that the large part of her would rather call it a night and go to bed. Partying in Mexico could take its toll on a person. However that being said, she was in CANCUN. And how often would she and her co-workers do this? So deciding against her judgement, Piper decided she wanted to join in on the fun! For someone who was such an introvert, she was really sticking her neck out these days and being a team player. Which maybe wasn’t a bad thing. She could let loose once in a while that didn’t involve sticking her nose in a textbook.

Deciding to grab a couple blankets and pillows in case more were needed, Piper also made a stop to the bar to grab a bottle of something that could be associated with Mexico. She made her way down to where the staff had gathered for their little camp fire. She could hear the laughter, smoke and music and knew that’s where her destination was. The closer she got the more people she could see where there. Well, there was no going back now as she emerged from the shadows and into the light of the camp fire.

“Hey everyone! Hope I’m not too late to join for these s’mores.”

The red head greeted cheerfully. She came closer to everyone and set down some more blankets and a couple pillows for anyone who was interested in them. Piper herself grabbed a blanket and pillow to use as a comfortable sitting place as she sat herself down where there was space in the circle of people.

“Oh, I also got this too since I figured hot chocolate was probably out of the question.”

She mentioned, pulling the bottle of tequila from inside of the pillows and set it down for anyone who wanted some.

Exhaustion was truly the only word that came to mind at any given moment for Eden during the trip—  between handling her assigned activities, managing actual work, and having her own daughter around, the blonde was a zombie after 9:00pm. That is, if she even made it up that late. However, there she found herself, somehow, sitting around the campfire with a large portion of the staff. She’d mostly been listening, utterly zoned out staring into the fire. Mostly thinking about being in bed, of course. There were soft, faint laughs coming from Eden periodically, when someone’s words managed to break past her sleepy trance. Which, once everyone started talking more, was happening more and more frequently. 

“I don’t think anyone’s going to be racing to tell yout grandfather a n y t h i n g, honey. Drink your little liver away— .. in moderation, and with caution,” Eden added in response to Becca’s words, almost snickering softly even just at the thought of Robert seeing the little get-together. 

Eden hummed as the newly-arrived redhead set a bottle down near her, flashing Piper a bright smile, only for her eyes to fall back on the fire. Taking a few sips of her water, Eden cleared her throat and leaned forward to hand the bottle of tequila to the staff member beside her. It wasn’t often that this many staff members were able to get together at once, but it was nice seeing everyone out of their strictly professional elements.

Placing the cigarette between her lips, thumbs rolled over the lighter as a small flame ignited – sending a cloud of smoke lifting into the air above her head. After a long, busy day, there was something so refreshing about finally being able to enjoy a cigarette. It wasn’t something that she did very often, although she couldn’t resist after a couple of beers – not to mention the cheeky couple of vodkas that she had already had at the staff bar which was closed by now. Hitting play on her phone ‘Hooked On A Feeling’ by Blue Swede beginning, the blue haired girl allowed herself to fall back against the cushions – turning her attention to Sebastian before raising her eyebrow back to the rest of the group at Elise’s ‘SMORES’ talk. “I like mine however. Ignore the fussy bunch, Elise. As for you Becs, I am going take a billion photos just so I have it as a reminder forever. God, I swear your grandfather hates me.” Chuckling, before taking another hefty gulp of her beer, the beauty turned towards the new girl – noticing that her little bottle of tequila had made an appearance. The pair truly did make Seb seem like a PUSSY; Dana had brought jaeger, Piper had brought Tequila – who else was due to bring out their next surprise?

It was AMAZING that they were all here together – even Eden, the known mom of the group surrounding them. Dana expected working under Doctor Wright again would be anything BUT friendly… Although she was lucky to have made a group of friends like these ones, even if she didn’t hugely know them. Jared had always been her best friend, Sebastian was somebody who she had seemed to click with instantly – this was it… This was the dream life. “Well, as CORNY as it is, I’d like to raise a toast to all of those who came here tonight and for those who didn’t – it’s their loss. Let’s have a good night, with good music and make some memories. I need something to hold against you all when we get back to Brielle… I love drunk stories. Cheers, guys!” Lifting her bottle into the air, wanting to clink it against everybody else’s – the therapist knew that it would have been a struggle, given the campfire in between them all. Chocolate orbs circled around the group, watch Eden lift her water bottle in unison with the rest of them – a smile plastering across her cheeks as she pressed the neck of the bottle to her lips once more, allowing whoever was next to have their say.

Her cheeks were still aflame with embarrassment, but something could be said for decreasing embarrassment in numbers. No longer was she the lonely girl covered in punch, but now, the girl who was covered in punch with someone to comfort her. The brunette managed a little smile, glancing over where the woman pointed her cabin to be. She nodded, beginning the walk over, her arms clutching across her front in a tight hug. As they headed towards the cabins, the brunette quickly jotted on a piece of paper, “Thanks.” As an insecure teenage girl, the thought of her most recent humiliation was LITERALLY the end of the world. “Everyone saw. I know it. They all saw that. They never going to let me live it down.”

Chocolate irises glanced over the paper – it’s blood stained colouring almost covering the words written across the crumpled paper that was in her hand. With a sigh in tow, the brunette flicked her hair back and offered the patient a warming smile. Dana hasn’t come across her before – though there were several people she was yet to meet. The therapist had issues of her own; she was a little antisocial at times but her bipolar didn’t help either… There were some days where she was willing to be your best friend, but at the worst of times, she was a wreck – unwilling to let anybody cross paths with her. “Honestly, most people were probably too captivated by the brawl to have even noticed that you were caught up in the middle of it, lovely. You’re fine – I promise. If anybody tries to ridicule you, come and tell one of us. It’s what we’re here for.” Helping the blue haired beauty hobble through the door, Dana gave a sigh – a smile still painting across her features however, as she immediately went to the wardrobe – pulling out a plain white shirt that looked similar enough to the one that Ingrid was already wearing. “This should do. It might be a little baggier, I’m a little – top heavy I guess. Are you okay?”

Playing music was like turning his brain off. Was like dimming the lights. It has always been like this. Whenever school had been a shitshow, whenever Rose was out but he couldn’t relax and when she was gone and the world was nothing but a shithole. Even though he started playing when he got back at Brielle and had his fingers rested for over a year…! “I-I don’t know….” He said his fingers missing a few keys before being back at the right point of the music. “It’s not just during the day, It’s just the heaviest then. Like during the night time it is all so much quieter, not as bright and loud. It just makes it easier~ You know.” The waves of feeling bad, and over sensitive just came like a wave. It could be days in a row one moment worse then another, or just months of nothing and then just BAM a crashing of everything. Those were the worse, they actually felt like a punch in the stomach. Light dancing in front of his eyes, every little sound too harsh. “I- I have never heard of it… What is it?”

Flustered. As his fingers stammered over piano keys, his own nerves getting the better of him – Dana picked herself up from her stool, plonking herself next to Charlie and giving him a nudge. “Keep going… It’s just a few notes.” As his fingers continued to glide along the zebra like keys decorating the piano, the brunette pulled her hair over to one shoulder – her bare one barely brushing up against the boy as she sat close to him, in case he needed a hand in playing the piece. It wouldn’t have been the first time she’d played a duo on one keyboard… There was a guy, once upon a time, who she quite liked – it ended weirdly but neither of them came out hurt. “It’s basically where you’re sensitive to things surrounding you – common sounds might be painful or overwhelming, light can sometimes be a blinding. What wouldn’t bother any normal being might truly affect you – causing you to feel dizzy or nauseous. Does that sound about right?”

S’mores after midnight [staff]

To be honest during their conversation with Elise on the first day Sebastian didn’t think the s’mores night will actually happen. With all the activities and responsibilities he was dead in the evenings and from what he saw his colleagues didn’t fare any better.

Then Friday came and after a very loud Luau party on the beach with the patients the young doctor decided that the staff deserved something from this trip as well.

Fuck it, we gonna have some fun.

After the patients were ushered to their cabins it took him exactly 30 minutes to gather the essentials: 2 crates of beer (the barkeeper didn’t even ask), a few bottles of Jack, some sodas in a picnic fridge. He tried to not mess everything up on the s’mores station and in his humble opinion it wasn’t too bad.

While on his quest he knocked on a few doors : Jared and Cory were supposed to bring a few blankets just in case, Dana was responsible for bringing another wireless speaker (Seb had his own but hers was obviously better), Elise was the Queen of s’mores and it wouldn’t feel right without her. He also invited other members of the staff and the security guys were informed as well - to keep an eye on the camp and to join them if they will have a moment.

With Rosie happily sleeping in their cabin and already seeing some figures in the shadows Sebastian flopped onto the nearest blanket enjoying the warmth of the still burning fire.

“And now - we relax.” he said letting out a long sigh.

Arriving back down to the campfire with a grin on her face, the brunette bobbed down to the sea and collapsed onto one of the blankets - practically snugged between Sebastian and Jared. “Hey losers, I am SO in need of this... Right - speaker, DONE. I may have brought another little SOMETHING that I went and bought ESPECIALLY for this occasion.” Tugging out a bottle from her jacket and tossing it into the catching hands of Cory, the beauty leaned in towards Sebastian and placed her hand out flat. “Come on, give us a smoke. It’s only fair seeing as you have BEAT my ass a couple of times at water fighting. Don’t worry, I’ll hit my third time tomorrow... Then you’ll see who is going DOWN. Wait, is that Jared Jones having a beer thats higher than four percent? Shit.”

Sebastian grinned devilishly at the girl seeing her getting ready to strike. They haven’t met before this event, but fuck he was glad he got someone fun as a partner. Dana was a competitive little shit and even if he was in better condition she was someone he had to watch out for despite her smaller build.

The moment his attention turned to the patients she would jump out from the side and at the end of the first round she actually got him to sweat, which he respected, but had no intention of loosing.

Seb was petty, competitive and will win this game.

“I usually don’t mind, but not this time sweetheart!” he yelled back and cocked his water gun hearing the kid counting down.

The therapist KNEW that the doctor was competitive… She had seen him interacting with the patients as though he was a GIANT CHILD himself. With narrowed eyes, chocolate hues barely peeping through, the everlasting smirk on her face only intensified. For each time she heard her name being chanted, Sebastian’s was too – their own armies arguing against the battlefield… There was no hiding that both staff members were rather relaxed – which is why they both held a likeability. Perhaps, more so Seb than Dana as she had a history for lashing out but nevertheless, she loved her job. With her water pistol already full, getting into position too, Dana gave a SARCASTIC roll to her eyes before whispering across the sand ‘DREAM ON’. It wasn’t loud but it was readable… He would know exactly what she had said. Momentarily, all things around them PAUSED. Amongst the cheering – staff members screaming in praise too – the numbers were as clear as day… Five, four, three, two, one.

The tactic was to dart across the field and as close to him as she could – she was going to WIN. One pump, two pump, three pump four… Bullets of water came spiralling from the tip, hitting Sebastian right in the face – the beauty aiming the gun hoping that she was temporarily blinding him. Giggles fled from her cherries, eyes glistening as he continued to aim and miss, each time she shuffled around in front of him but surely, her gun had ran out and her bucket was on the other side of the ‘pitch’, awaiting to fill up her current gun. “Shit, shit, shit…”

Even though therapy wasn’t mandatory in camp Crypto, it was something that was being encouraged. Especially when you didn’t feel well and just needed a ear. Sessions being planned whenever you would need one instead of a weekly/daily thing. He hadn’t seen Dana for a session since they got here. But now he could really need one. It was all just a bit too much today. He had even spent little to no time with Noah, hiding in the woods alone, or in his cabin until Demi came back. No with the sun down, the stars twinkling in the sky, his therapist sitting near the fire with a handful of her instruments. He liked the warm Mexican weather, but liked it even more when the sun went down. The heat still in the air, but the sand and the sea cooling down oh so quickly. His toes dug themselves into the cooling sand as he looked into the brown hues of the woman in front of him. Her questions slowly landing middle in the mess of his head. “I-I don’t know dude… I really don’t I guess as long as I know. Even when I was a little kid I felt like the sun could be too bright or the sounds too hard. The doctor called it ‘migraine’ but I and Rose never really believed it… Just because I doesn’t feel like a proper migraine.” He said slowly getting up taking the keyboard from the female. Sitting down in the sand his back against a stone as his fingers delicately played some music. “It always has been like this. Somedays not even leaving my bed because even my own breathing would be too loud… Rose would be able to get me over it most of the time… But without her here… It’s- It has been hard Dana… I’m- I’m just so sick of it~” 

Continuing to sit on her stool, fingers clasping together as she listened to Charlie talk and play in SYNCHRONISATION – she let out a few calming breathes, head tilting to one side as her knuckles clicked in the palms of her own hands. “A migraine? How often did you get these ‘migraines’, Charlie? I’m just thinking… If it was often, then it wasn’t just the ODD migraine and I don’t think it could be connected to your insomnia… You say it happens in the day time, right? My only suggestion would have been that you convinced yourself you were having migraines as a reason for being awake, but… That doesn’t sound right. It almost sounds like it could be sensory processing sensitivity. Do you know what that is?” Brown coloured hues fell down to his hands, roaming freely across the keyboard – playing a melody almost as beautiful as hers was… Music was such a BEAUTIFUL thing and being able to share your passions with other people was just as beautiful – it helped people come together, particularly in the case of Dana and Charlie.

It happened quickly. She’d been caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, two people shoving one another, one body crashing into the petite brunette’s, her red drink spilling over the front of her outfit. Her cheeks by now probably matched the bloody color staining her shirt. It seemed as if she couldn’t enjoy anything about this place - almost as if she were entirely invisible. Blue eyes scanned the scene, attempting to determine how many people witnessed her mortification. 

Having been crossing through the camp with her guitar packed over her shoulder, the brunette smiled - chocolates irises glazing across the campsite. There was something so RELAXING about being away from work... Even though she was practically still AT work. Being torn away from her trail of thought the second she saw two people forcefully pushing against one another, her footsteps stopped, taking in the situation - Cory and Sebastian had dived in between the two males whose chests were pushed out like snakes, but there was somebody else in the background looking HUMILIATED. Concerned brows lifted into worry as she darted over to the brunette, holding her up by the arm as she regathered herself. “Hey, hey. You’re okay. I mean, a little bit DAMP but okay... We’ll get out of here and get you cleaned up. My cabin is literally THERE, I’m sure I have a spare shirt.”

“Alright, now that it’s finally dark,” Ryder said, casting an annoyed glance to the sky, “it’s time for some ghost stories.” It had taken an obnoxiously long time for the sky to finally darken, but that was what happened when you were camping on the equator. 

Looking at the faces around him, lit by the tall flames of the maybe overkill campfire, he started to grin. “Did y’all ever hear the one about warden’s daughter and her dog?”

Since her music session had ENDED, Dana had been excitedly hanging around for ghost stories at nine. She had always been a lil spooky; halloween being her FAVOURITE holiday of all... Plus, given recent events and her L E T H A L moodswings, it was probably best to show her face again and ensure that nobody had taken any knowledge of the disorders that lay at bay. Snuggled flat in the middles of the bench and surrounded by patients, shoulders hunched forward with widened eyes, the brunette gnawed at her lip - practically chewing off the dead skin that glossed acrosss her pinks. Eagerly shaking her head, as though she wanted to hear more, the brunette seemed to be the most enthusiastic out of the bunch - chocolates pinned on the security intern, desperate to know more.

"Well, one thing’s for sure... Freddie Krueger won’t be coming ANYWHERE near by.” With a smirk, chocolate pools landed back against the flames that continued to CRACKLE... With a beer in hand, Dana lifted the neck to her lips - golden liquid gliding down her throat so effortlessly as the day had finally begun to catch up on her... Who knew that patients of a hospital could be SO energetic? “I can’t believe Seb even initiated an after party... I can tell that I’m getting OLD... Maybe not as old as you though, Lance.”

"Yes, we are taking requests so grab a stool and come and sit down!” Fingers rolled across the keyboard, as though it was a showcase in front of all of the other patients crowded around the campfire - a smile dancing to her lips, as she looked ENTIRELY in her element. As chocolate pools fell down to the black and white keys below her fingers, she turned her attention back to the person who had approached her and the rest of the people enjoying jam night. “Do you wanna maybe play a little or are you just here to enjoy some music?”

“Yeah~ I’m totally fine!” Speaking the truth to his therapist was still something Charlie Swann did not do, Why would he make another human being worry about him even if that said person was being payed for it. It was a familiar piece. Something Charlie used to play a lot when Rose was still around. It was a piece of music that calmed his sister down during studying for her big tests. Just the memory made his headache worse. Even though the memory was so bittersweet. The boy still loved the song, just played it not as often as he used too, avoiding it on days like these. Feeling his gut come up, his eyes watering up, his head groggy. “O-Okay I’m~ I’m not fine at all. Not even tired. Just so~ I don’t even know what I am… I just no I’m not fucking fine!” The boy said his hands in his hair as he couldn’t get rid of the frustration. He sat down against the side of the piano, feeling the cold ground underneath him. Feeling a little more grounded, his eyes closed as he tried to concentrate on his breathing. A thing Estelle used to tell him whenever he felt like everything became a little too harsh, a little too much. “It’s like the world turned up it’s volume and brightness, it’s- It’s nauseating.”

Therapy was something that they wanted to be continued – even throughout Camp Crypto… It was understandable, really. Even though they weren’t physically in the asylum anymore, this was still like a hospital – the staff were everywhere; medics on sight just in case it was needed, security roaming the perimeter as if it was their regular job. There was something more RELAXED about this atmosphere and yet, Charlie still seemed panicked. As her digits glided over the keyboard, continuing to play as an attempt to soothe him – chocolate irises closely followed Charlie’s actions, until he sat down on the bench opposite. A small sigh lifted from her lips, head tilting to the side as she EFFORTLESSLY played without even having to look – knowing where each and every key was… “How long has this been happening for? It sounds like it could be linked to your insomnia, Charlie – although I’m not certain. Tell me more, do you… Do you want to play for a while? Would that help”

Offering Trip a smile, the brunette lifted two acoustic guitars from their stands – ones that had been ESPECIALLY transported from Brielle. It wasn’t the only instruments she had brought; there was a pop keyboard, a drum kit – anything imaginable in small amounts, just so that there was something each of the patients could use. Having late night jams was important to her. Music was something that brought EVERYBODY together; whether you listened to country, to classical or metal… Dana could appreciate that and to tell the truth, she was somebody who admired each and every genre too. Handing one of the guitars to the janitor and sitting down beside him, Dana allowed her digits to course along all six strings – testing that it was in fact, in tune. Although she didn’t really know Trip, it was lovely to be sharing something so SPECIAL with somebody new. “What kind of music are you into, then? I didn’t even realise you played.”
