Elle kneeled down, but Aiden was much faster to pick up his notebook. Smiling up at him she said: “What a reflex. Is there anything you can’t do?” Elle asked smirking, standing up straight again.

Aiden didn't really say anything, afraid that something might slip out that he didn't want to, like the fact that he was writing his own music. Nobody knew about the fact that Aiden was an amateur song writer, even Evan, especially Evan. Aiden thought that Evan had this certain image for his brother and he didn't want to ruin it by writing his own music and disappointing his older brother. 

Aiden just shrugged his shoulders as he protected the notebook across his chest like it was his own life. It was his own life actually. It had music in it that spoke his story. His life. The things that Aiden thought about when he was restless at night in his bed. Nobody could find out about them. Evan would be disappointed and hurt if he ever saw the words he wrote.

Walking through the giant school that was Lancaster Academy, Aiden had his guitar strapped to his back and his song book in his hand. He had just finished his first ever song and was about to go to the music room to check it out to see how it sounded. Before he could get there though, he bumped into someone which sent him back a couple of steps and his notebook fell to the floor and opened to one of his songs. Quickly, he picked up his notebook and hoped that the person that he had bumped into didn't see it at all.
