Nexus: The Beast in the Machine.

Fan-made concept art of an alternative universe after the Beast Machines, featuring Megatron in his newly upgraded form known as Ultra Megatron.

It began as a light study on metallic surfaces, but at some point, I decided to practice on something with a face.

During that time, I was rewatching my all-time favorite Transformers series Beast Wars and Beast Machines, where I picked my most favored Transformer villain EVER, Megatron!...in his later version for this study.

While creating this, I found a story titled Beast Wars Reborn, set after the events of Beast Machines, where Optimus Primal and Megatron are reborn in their old bodies. This small franchise inspired me to create a similar story but with a completely different outcome to go along with this piece. In my version, the characters reincarnate in new bodies to an altered dimension of Cyberton.

All Hail Megatron, High Lord of Kaon!

Particularly, Megatron finally gains the purely technological form he desired, with every organic element removed. But even then, he still displays violent outbursts and controlled by emotions and burning passion.

This indicates his spark might have absorbed some of his beast mode's wild energy after all this time.

Thus it results in the 'Beast in the Machine' part.

Soundwave, the Decepticon spy and communications officer, is recommended to represent the Hermit as he demonstrates a vigilant, observant, and very silent attitude in the series, being in charge of not only maintaining the information handled by the Decepticons but also the one who silently kept the secrets of those he listened to. It was he who revealed to Megatron about Starscream's betrayal when Starscream snatched the dark energon fragment from Megatron chest so that he would die and thus remain with the throne. Soundwave is also in charge of maintaining order in the absence of his Leader, maintaining a critical and reflective stance towards Starscream's position that led him to discover his ambitions. Finally, it can be seen that Soundwave is a very isolated and even feared character, where Knockout himself admits to feeling repulsed by the spy's impersonal attitude, where only Megatron himself dares to "talk" to him, but more than talking, Soundwave simply listens to him without saying anything in return.
