So like, what if the Velgearians were a warrior rabbitfolk tribe who protected the forest and were afraid of anything beyond it? That is until Yudias sneaks out (due to Kuaidul's sneaky persuasion) and finds out about card games. Yudias: "We can learn to understand what we fear through these!" *pulls out a rush duel pack* "They're harmless!" Zwijo: "We are not breaking our 1000+ old traditions for a piece of cardboard. " Yudias: *Plays one rush duel match with Zwijo* Zwijo: "Again."
What type of magical girl/boy abilities would the Velgearians have?
Uh yes. I've been kind of stressed out so I'm taking this break to yap about possible magical abilities/types the Velgearians we know would have :]
Yudias: Probably starlight considering his whole deal with light galaxy monsters. I did originally place him under under the category of "space magic" but rather than just space/galaxies, I think focuses more on light. Especially with all the dark matter stuff later on. If we want to have Yudias and Zuwijo contrast, his magic could also involve the idea of life. Being alive and living as you are in the present. I could relate the birth of stars to life for him too. Kuaidul: Reality warping, but more related to dreams and sleeping. Being alone for all those years, he must've had hundreds of thoughts of "What ifs" and coping mechanisms to deal with the knowledge he had. I see him as a sort of dreamer, wanting to find an escape from his inevitable reality. With him giving Zaion everything he wanted in his Spacetime in that one episode, it might've been just plain manipulation, but that implies Kuaidul understands the joy of being given everything you ever wanted and not wanting to leave. Maybe he knows it first-hand. Zuwijo: Destruction... death, more specifically, decomposition. Zwijo's someone who finds comfort in the idea of death, because it makes him feel real and alive. I thought it would be fitting if his power involved the end of a life. Plus the death of a massive star usually results in a black hole. Dinowa: The ability to shrink and grow things as she pleases (size manipulation) Being the main strategist for the Velgearians, there's probably a lot of moving around she has to do and I think it'd be very useful to either give an advantage to her allies by growing them or sneaking into enemy territory by shrinking herself. It seems like an ability her scheming self would like. Myuda: Charisma, persuasion, charm, his magic would probably involve subtly influencing the minds of people as the person in charge of psychological warfare. Dudi Nishaw: Time magic; it's pretty self explanatory. He's someone who needs enough of it to make a decision, so he'd probably have the ability to stop time. But it'd also be interesting if he had the ability to revert time to the last decision he's made every so often.
Yudias Velgear... a space warrior hailing from the Velgearian Star Cluster now finds himself in a bit of a predicament. "What exactly is a magical girl?" he wonders. Well, perhaps this is a new battle field he must venture forth on! AKA me wanting to draw Yudias as a magical boy

The Tragedy of Kuaidul Velgear (Small Analysis)
WARNING: Yugioh Go Rush Spoilers! So I recently finished Yugioh Go Rush (and by finished, I mean I kind of skimmed through the last season since I couldn't really vibe with it compared to the other seasons.) The ending was... ok in my opinion. Season 1 was definitely my absolute favorite with 2 following right after. But this isn't what this post is about. Who I want to talk about is...
KUAIDUL VELGEAR!
Ever since I saw this man first appear on screen, I've been looking forward to learning more about him (surprisingly even more than Yudias!) and while digging a little deeper into the reasoning behind his evil deeds, I only found him more interesting. Given that galaxies technically ARE supposed to be the very thing that gives Velgearians their personalities, I think in Kuaidul's case, the Creator had a larger effect on him rather than the Andromedea galaxy. We know from the past that the Creator preferred Rush Duels over the Velgearians and didn't quite understand that they were being neglectful, but not neglectful in the typical sense. He most likely helped the Velgearians set up in preparation for the war, gave them food, etc. but in the end, it was all for this game he thought would be entertaining. And while yes, it definitely was wrong for the Creator to do this, I view the Creator more like a curious little kid, similar to Damamu playing with toys. I don't think he meant any intentional harm during his time on Velgear. Now for Kuaidul, his situation is complex. Being the first of his kind and the first to really meet the Creator, he must've found some obligation to help them achieve their goals. After all, they were the person who gave him his existence. His will was their will. Additionally, during the time the two were creating the Velgearians and their enemy, Kuaidul probably asked a lot questions and got to know the Creator on a more personal level (from his eyes at least). On the other hand, the Creator was most likely responding to his questions out of habit, not thinking too deeply on Kuaidul's feelings until the end. Again, I see the Creator as a childlike being, so this situation was probably the same as a a kid talking to their toy. Not thinking too much of it.
Taking this into account, Kuaidul was never given control of his own life. He knew the truth of the Velgearians from the very beginning and even contributed to their endless war. He knew they were all just artificial beings with actions, personalities, and thoughts implanted into them based on galaxies. And it was all in favor of the Creator. At least the other Velgearians had the illusion that they were in control because of their ignorance. Kuaidul never had that. Having the knowledge that your life isn't yours for that long alone would do something to someone's mental state. Moreover, I genuinely think Kuaidul's attachment to the Creator is unhealthy, seeing that 1: he had an obligation to follow them because they created him/the duckling effect, 2: the Creator was the ONLY other person he knew to not be artificially created (so a 'real' person + the only other person who knew of the truth of the Velgearians), and 3: After working with the Creator side-by-side, he most likely developed an inferiority complex, wanting to gain the attention of a creator who would never look towards him, fueled even more by man favoriting Yudias. That's why I think Kuaidul's theatrical narration is a way of him trying to take control of his life again. To be more grand in a world that's decided that he's supposed to act a certain way. If he's able to manipulate what's happening behind the scenes and reframe events to his liking, then he's successfully carving out his own path in a pre-determined future. If he can be the writer of his own life, then he can make the choices he wants for once. And bringing Yudias back into the picture makes the contrast between these two so amazing. Because on one hand, Yudias is too selfless due to his galaxy giving him a "blank canvas", someone who never actually decides for themselves what they want to do and is swayed by others. It's also interesting how throughout the entire series, Yudias always talks about stubbornly going downa path to achieve his Velgeard. But what exactly does that mean? For me, I interpreted "Velgeard" as a path that he believes fate has in store for him. He keeps saying Velgeard as if it's a path he's chosen, but never truly defines it. And maybe it's because he doesn't know. Usually if you've decided on something, you wouldn't be vague about it.
Furthermore, during the duel between Kuaidul and Yudias when Kuaidul decides to merge their galaxies, Yudias says himself that "There has never been a moment where I thought this body that was given to me was solely my own." This makes me think that Yudias believes there is a higher power that is in control of his life. That his body/being is simply in existence because it does. Not because he willed it into existence, but because it just is.
Meanwhile, Kuaidul is selfish, never backing down whenever he wants something because it's his choice. He knows what he wants and is willing to go out of his way to make sure he gets it. Kuaidul having the ability to even be selfish is probably freeing for him, which is why he could find Yudias a little pitiful later on. Anyways, I think I'm done yapping for now about these silly aliens. I have no idea what they did to season 3 T-T but for the other small parts that I enjoyed, thank you Go Rush for being such a cool series! Kuaidul is definitely one of my favorite Yugioh villains of all time and I absolutely love the dynamic between him and Yudias. Ty for coming to my Ted Talk :3 (Also side note: I was wondering why Kuaidul would even agree to anything his Creator asked of him if we assumed that he didn't actually feel an obligation towards them. To that, I think at this point, Kuaidul adapted a similar mindset to the Creator. If everyone here was artificially made and were just pawns, nothing really has meaning. Even if he does create the enemy race for the Velgearians for them to fight for eternity, it's just a game. And perhaps Kuaidul was curious about whether this "game" would be entertaining for his existence that didn't have meaning. It's not like they could really die anyways... until he found out later)
