I love Cassandra Wayne so much I love talking about her and I love hearing other people's thoughts about her if you ever have a Cass thought and you're like hmm I wish I had someone to share that with: hi hello I am here. Use anonymous asks if it makes you more comfortable but I am always here and ready to listen to Cass thoughts.
Dick when baby cass keeps punching and kicking him specifically
EXACTLY. They get on so well in general he expects it to be chill, he'll teach her how to play video games or something. But he forgot about the sibling soulmate cain instinct that dictates every universe where they meet Cass has to beat him up like the little sister menace she is.
Yes, I basically eyedropper all of their skintones from reference photos because I no longer trust my drawing tab colours. (For some reason it lightens the darker shades so the image comes out super dark when i export it)
The best part of any fandom experience is getting so deep into your love and analysis that your ranting about The Characters is borderline incomprehensible unless you write a 10 page essay. And then you find another fan equally as obsessed on the same wavelength and you just go back and forth with those 10 page essays. Unbeatable. Hey I've got an hour to kill want to hear my rant about how the deliberate way The Character is always framed through other people's pov and never her own is a part of her battle with the metanarrative of the show to retain her privacy? Ok cool here's six screenshots to start and if you ignore the cw logo-
Cass gets magically turned into a toddler or something as often happens in Fics
The whole family gets the urge to beat the shit out of David cain
I love this genre of fic idea because the family meeting baby Cass has so much potential... out of the core batfam she and Babs joined the family the latest in their lives, with Duke probably in third place. They're her family and they love her but none of them *knew* her when she was fifteen, ten, five. They only know older teenage Cass, adult Cass. Still a Cass who clearly has issues! But baby Cass? Oh it would fuck them up. Emotionally first and then physically once she starts punching.
Sansa Stark (A Song of Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones) vs. Veronica Lodge (Riverdale)
Sansa Stark
Veronica Lodge

Propaganda below the cut:
Sansa Stark:
Perpetually a victim of the plot, denied agency, hated for being whiny, PLUS the whole deal where they changed the plot of the book so they could show her being raped in the showā¦
Sansa is an incredible character for the exact reasons I hated her ass when I was 14. She's often passive, conforms to expectations, and lashes out at her younger sister for being the opposite. Her arc finds her struggling to navigate a dangerous, violent world that hates women using only the tools she was taught as a girl would keep her safe and make her successful (her passivity, her virginity, her femininity, etc.).
Bashed as the worst and most useless character of the whole series for not immediately killing all the Lannisters ig despite literally watching her fatherās head get cut off at thirteen years old. Also catches flak for thinking mean things about the fandomās chosen son Jon Snow and her sister Arya Stark, but like. This is a middle schooler.
The WHOLE POINT of her character is to illustrate how the game of thrones corrupts innocence, ERGO the character HAS to start from an innocent place. Obviously sheās naive at the start of the series, why would any child raised in a loving household far away from court politics develop any political acumen? But despite this, she does learn quickly, and her character development is among the most exciting in the show (and Iām sure it will eventually be in the series as well)
I could write a dissertation on this one but if you say Sansa is worse that Joffrey youāre a misogynist. In my opinion people hate her because her abuse arc is painfully grounded in reality.
The very first man to use her as a pawn was her father and yet the fandom blames her for this. Sansaās arc was supposed to be a mirror of her sisterās to show that if they comply (Sansa) if they rebel (Arya) no girls win in a patriarchal society but so many people would rather hate a fictional little girl because she didnāt girl boss her way out of oppression.
Veronica Lodge:
fandom victim blames her for being an abuse victim of her father, ignores her importance to her canon familial & romantic relationships in favor of shipping/focusing on her dad & boyfriend, gives her canon dynamic with her dad to her boyfriend instead, by and large ignores her despite the fact that she's one of the main 4/5 characters (also racism given she's latina & the guys she's ignored for are white) and there's the standard "teenage girl therefore she's annoying, stuck up, etc etc" logic
she's AWESOME. she used to be mean but she devotes all her time to becoming a better person, she's loyal and willing to sacrifice herself for the people she loves, she's a self proclaimed girlboss who runs multiple successful businesses as a high schooler. she's the most bisexual poly-forward person on the bisexual polycule show. she's a theatre kid who will take literally any opportunity to sing show tunes, she's ultra dramatic, she loves the world and singing and her best friend (in a not especially platonic way admittedly) and she's so kind and tries so hard to do good things even though she's an abused teenager who everyone blames for her manipulative & abusive dad's actions. she's my baby and i love her and she deserves to be treated better!
For some strange unknown reason I've been thinking about Talia today and kinda the meta of how much damage Damian did to Talia's character which as a person that really loves both Damian and Talia its sad to think about
at a point where if somebody starts complaining about riverdale being bad bc its "too all over the place" and "makes no sense" im going to tell them theyre just not smart enough to get it.
literally what is confusing about cheryl learning that her ancestor was burned at the stake by the ancestors of her aquintances who didn't immediately apologize because they were trying to reincorporate the town at that exact moment, so she starts getting crazy into witchcraft because her ancestor was likely a witch, so she takes revenge against Archie SPECIFICALLY by cursing everybody in town so they will inevitably need her help uncursing themselves and accept her conditions for help unbeknownst to the fact that she cursed them in the first place, and then at a fall festival cheryl is hosting she gives archie a pie filled with the sins of the town which he eats before having sex with betty who is then immediately confident that they have concieved a child even though she had just recently recieved the news that she's infertile, and it turns out that the condition Cheryl had everybody accept for her help was that they would bear witness to Cheryl cutting out Archie's heart to magically heal the towns people. Also part of this happened in an alternant reality of Riverdale called Rivervale where everything is the same except that archie and betty presumably didn't die from a bomb Hiram placed in Archie's house because his fate in this reality was to get the judas kiss in the form of his best friend jughead telling him i love you during a pancake eating contest knowing that the town is going to sacrifice archie later that night. nothing about this is hard to understand
one of the funniest riverdale criticisms isĀ āit got bad and cringey after season oneā because a) itās camp and you guys are just boring, but mainly b) these are all lines from the first episode. this show has always know what itās about.
