Walking with a Ghost
throwback art.
I dunno I havenât really been doing this drawing thing lately, and looking back at some of my older drawings makes me kind of happy. Iâve had many influences over the years and looking at things drawn at certain times⊠i can clearly see them. But itâs nice to look back and see some inspiration. See what had driven me to draw.
Right now I donât feel it. Iâve been trying and I just donât feel it.

BEFORE YOU JUDGE SOMEONE'S LOLITA COORD
Consider thisâŠ.. -They might have overslept because of a busy lifestyle and had to rush to get ready
-They may have traveled a great distance to the meetup, con, etc
-They may have had to get ready in a public bathroom -They may have had to get ready in a car (including makeup !) -They might have forgotten an important pieceÂ
-Their financial status may differ from yours -Something may have broken off their coordinate on the way -THEIR TAOBAO/BODYLINE/MBOK ORDER MAY NOT HAVE ARRIVED IN TIME
-They might be experimenting with their own personal style (who knows it could lead to a new trend!)Â
-They may have done their makeup FLAWLESSLY then had an allergic reactionÂ
-They might be a newbie (we all started somewhere! )Â
-They may not have felt like wearing lolita that day but felt pressured too because they wanted to attend the meet, event, con etcÂ
-Their family may be strictly against lolita, causing them to struggle to get lolita pieces or be able to practice making outfitsÂ
-They might be sick or tired (everyone is allowed off days)Â
-They may have bought their dress, skirt, etc on impulse and havenât quite figure out how to coord it yet.Â
-THEIR PERSONAL STYLE MAY DIFFER FROM YOURS AND THEY LIKE HOW THEY LOOK Remember, you donât know the circumstances of how someone got ready or the influences behind their coordinate ESPECIALLY if you are just seeing it online. Iâm sure a lot of you have been through these or felt this way. Letâs all take the time to look at things from different perspectives before passing judgement. A message from your clumsy, forgetful and rushed lolita friend,Â

WARNING - PLEASE READ IF YOU HAVE A PEANUT ALLERGY AND LIKE TO SHMEAR MAKEUP ON YOUR SKIN TO MAKE YOU LOOK AS FLAWLESS AS YOUR PERSONALITY
I am one such an individual, and last night I was super pumped to try this concealer. Out of curiosity I read the ingredients and saw something called arachidyl behenate.
Anything with the root âarachiâ such as âarachis oilâ is probably peanut related. And, sure enough, I did some research and arachidyl behenate is peanut-derived. Which is the story of how I nearly smushed a deadly food allergen into my skin.
Thereâs a report here from last year that seems to indicate that some food allergens are neutralized when processed for cosmetics, but Iâm not sure that applies for peanuts. And at any rate, they did indicate there was still a risk of a reaction if such proteins werenât processed properly.
Now, Iâm gonna say it outright - Iâm not one hundred percent sure that a heavily processed peanut-derived chemical such as arachidyl behenate will cause a reaction. Iâve worn a lot of makeup over the years without checking the ingredients, so I could have easily used a product containing it without knowing. Still, better safe than sorry.
Alternate names for peanut products (anything with the prefix âarachi-â should be considered suspect):
beer nuts, earth nuts, goobers, groundnuts, groundnut oil, hypogaeic acid, katchung oil, mandelonas
A full list can be found here, another cosmetic-specific one here.
Hereâs some articles on the subject:

Stay safe, guys, and please signal boost for any peanut-allergic followers you might have!
YES THIS IS ACTUALLY VERY IMPORTANT
This can literally save someone with peanut allergiesâ life. Always reblog, even if it doesnt apply to you personally.Â
