「 As 」 she deactivated her power, he gasped and stumbled backwards – landing on his butt with a yelp in slight pain. That was pretty rude of me, wasn’t it… He thought to himself before quickly getting back up, visibly cringing as he took notice that while sitting there for a moment, he was now soaked down to his underwear. How uncomfortable.
Fumbling over his words, he responded. “S-sorry, miss! I- uh!” He looked away. “It was pretty rude of me.. I-I didn’t mean to..!” I sound like a bumbling idiot… He bit his lip, stopping anymore words from coming out of his mouth as he looked away. Was she always there? He knew he sensed a presence.. But why couldn’t he see her earlier?
As she had expected, the young man had been startled– So he hadn’t been able to see her while she’d been sitting there. Good to know. Nonetheless, seeing the other so startled was… a somewhat amusing sight, though she did have enough tact to, thankfully, withhold her laughter as the other pushed himself up off the ground. She was nothing like her younger brother, who would have certainly been laughing his ass off at the sight.
“Whatever, don’t worry too much about it,” she responded, finally. She didn’t get up from where she was sitting– It wasn’t really worth it. At least, not at this moment. Even with her curiosity… She wouldn’t ask too much. Not yet, at least. Nonetheless…
“It’d probably be a good idea to get out of the rain, too, you know.”
「 He 」 cleared his throat before speaking up again. “W-would it be alright for me to join you then..?” he asked, trembling slightly. It would be nice to get out of this rain before I catch a cold... He thought to himself. After all, wasn’t that what he was originally trying to do..? However, he was too awkward to so much as move without an okay at first, even if he had wished to get under shelter quickly.
((I got hit with a nasty cold but I am finally back :’D I’m so sorry for the wait,, end of the semester gets really crazy,,,, and I tend to get really sick from the stress afterwards,,))
((really really sorry but I haven’t been able to come on bc of college! I’m just gonna officially call a hiatus until after the next two weeks since I have a lot of work to catch up on before the end of this semester
again I’m really really sorry to those I promised replies a while ago ;; ))
(( ´д` ; I've been meaning to get back to replies I'm so sorry,, if I have time tomorrow I'll start working on them,,))

「 Rain. 」He hadn’t been paying much attention to the world around him until he felt a few drops hit the back of his neck. From where he was sitting, Hisoka tilted his head to look up at the sky. Rain clouds. He cursed under his breath and pushed himself up from where he was sitting, just outside an alley. The boy would have to seek shelter until the weather let up.
Pulling his hood over his head, he began to walk, glancing around every-so-often, hoping to spot at least a bus station he could sit at. In the immediate area, he spotted nothing, and moved on. Finally, a few blocks up ahead, he spotted the sheltered bus stop. With a sigh of relief, he quickly made his way toward it.
However, only a few feet away from it, he stopped in his tracks. Something caught his attention. He couldn’t make out what it was, only that he felt a presence in the nearby area. It put him on edge and caused the boy to tense up nervously as stared in the general direction of the bus stop, as if staring would help any.
Usually Kido wouldn’t let herself be caught outside in this kind of weather. Then again, she was only out in it at this point due to the fact that she had been out shopping for a couple of things that they needed back home when the rain started– As a matter of fact, she had to cut her trip pretty short, considering how she didn’t plan on getting completely soaked to the point where she would have to change clothes as soon as she arrived back home.
With a couple of bags on the bench next to her, Kido sat at the bus station, her earbuds in. It wasn’t too far of a walk from here to the base– But with the way that the rain was pouring down, she’d rather sit in some sort of shelter until the rain calmed down a bit. She wasn’t in too much of a rush– It wasn’t like she’d picked up anything that needed to be put in the fridge instantly. She’d decided to save that sort of stuff for another day, considering the rain.
So, as she waited for it to stop raining quite as hard, the Commander of the Mekakushi Dan was sitting at the bus stop, listening to music– Her eyes that crimson color that she’d hated so much when she was younger. Now, however? It was useful to have, especially in situations like this. She wasn’t forced into conversations that she didn’t want to have, and she could sit back and relax without having to worry about getting any weird looks– Or, at least, that’s what she’d thought.
It’d been by chance, honestly. She’d taken a moment to glance up from her phone, having just sent a text to one of her siblings to let them know that she’d be home soon; that she was just waiting for the rain to let up a bit before she made the final stretch. As she looked up, out of the corner of her eye, she’d noticed something– Well, someone. A quick glance to her right, she confirmed what she’d seen out of her peripheral vision– A young man, who appeared to be no older than she was, was looking directly at her. Which was… odd. No one should be able to see her when she was using her power. She could still feel the slight heat from her eyes, so she was certain that she hadn’t mistakenly deactivated her power– With that in mind, a small concern came up. How was he able to see her, if she was assuming right?
Though that couldn’t be the case, could it? Even if someone saw her, surely they would have come to sit at the stop, much like she had? Not… stand in the rain, staring as they got soaked. Kido was silent for a few moments, mulling her options over–
Before finally allowing her eyes to fade back to their normal, dark color, allowing herself to be noticed. Frowning just a bit, she met the man’s gaze.
“It’s not polite to stare,” she stated, her voice loud enough to hopefully be heard by the other.

Hisoka mumbled a meek apology, seeming to tense up a bit. She was right. He was pretty lonely out here. Scared too.. But he didn’t want to admit that, knowing it’s better than going “home”, so he took it upon himself to retain as much of a strong façade as he could. When he could..
He knew she saw him crying. Anyone could have seen he was crying. It bothered him to reveal how vulnerable he truly was, but there was no point lying once again. He wouldn’t want to upset her. But why? He only met her today..
He spoke up again. “If I told you.. I don’t think you would believe me.. Nobody would..” His voice seemed to trail off there, until her introduction caught his attention. Turning his head slightly to glance over at her, he replied. “It’s Hisoka..”
– ; [ Her ] heart sank as she listened to him speak, noticing how little he moved, though the little shifts he made seemed so stiff and hesitant that she couldn’t help but feel like he was hurt badly. Plus, he was apologizing for doing absolutely nothing wrong. How terrible was that ?
– ; [ Ayano ] sat quietly at his side for a moment, listening to his response with her full attention on him. Though she didn’t know what happened prior to now, she could tell whatever did happen, it left him scared and alone. And now he was saying she wouldn’t believe her ? What kind of awful thing had happened to him ?
– ; [ ❝ You ] don’t need to be afraid, Hisoka. I’m here to listen. There’s no way I couldn’t believe you. You don’t seem to be in a position where you’d lie about what happened, after all … ❞
「 He 」seemed to relax -- but only for a moment. Was he really going to open up to this girl he had just met about what he did and what happened that had shocked him into disbelief?
He thought about it, then glanced away a moment, taking in a deep breath. As he exhaled, he looked downward, as if preparing himself for what he was about to tell her.
"I.." His mouth began to feel dry, and he had to take another moment to muster up the courage to continue. "I shouldn't be alive right now.. Or at least, my insides shouldn't even be okay right now.." His hands gripped nervously at the fabric of his pants as he paused.
"Something.. Happened.. Even I wouldn't believe myself.." Finally, he looked back up at her, making eye contact. "..A huge snake.. Swallowed me up.."

((I have class in 5 minutes but if you want, like this for a starter when I get back!))
((Proooobably won't be on much tomorrow and the rest of the day but I'll try to be on later tonight! Just kinda dealing with. Stuff atm so uh yeah see you guys later!!))
「 Surprised 」by the approach, the boy jolted his head up, managing to hit himself against the wall. “O-ow..” he whimpered, rubbing the back of his head. Nobody had payed him any attention until now.
Despite his hesitation of trust, he knew it would be rude to not respond at least. Raising his head again, he looked up at her. A school girl.. And she seemed kind. Truthfully, he wanted to trust that.. But part of him was still hesitant. He rubbed at his crimson eyes, and finally, he spoke. “I.. I’m fine.. I’m just.. R-resting.. Is all..”
Lying. He despised it, and furthermore, he was terrible at it. Yet, he was compelled to lie when met with such a situation. Hisoka didn’t want anyone to get involved, especially since he knew nobody would believe him. He felt himself lower his head, avoiding eye contact.
– ; [ Hmm … ] That response wasn’t terribly convincing. A noticeable frown creased her lips, deciding instead of leaning over him, she’d sit down beside him. Something didn’t seem right. She tilted her head to the side, offering her concern through a saddened expression. Ayano had dealt with the king of liars, her own little brother. It didn’t take much for her to tell he wasn’t being truthful.
– ; [ ❝ You ] know, you don’t need to lie to me, ❞ she assured him, the smallest of smiles coming back to her lips. ❝ You can tell me if something is wrong. Of course, being here out on your own, I already know you’re lonely. ❞ Her eyes glance to his glasses, noticing the smudges from where he had been crying.
– ; [ ❝ I ] saw you crying just moments ago, ❞ she noted, a bit more quietly this time. It was embarrassing to be called out on crying, she knew that well. The last thing she wanted to do was make the boy uncomfortable. ❝ If you try to tell me something isn’t wrong, I won’t believe you. Don’t worry, I just want to help you, that’s all. ❞ Her smile grew slightly, becoming warmer, trying to lighten the mood a bit.
– ; [ ❝ Perhaps ] it’s a bit early for introductions, but my name is Ayano. What’s your name ? May I ask why you’re out here by yourself ? ❞
