It was cold outside today, but the skeleton was far too enthused to mind. Or perhaps his lack of attention to the temperature was more because he had no skin to speak of, rather than his state of mind. Either way, he trod through the snow with a big grin plastered on his face, ready to face the day.
First things first, check the puzzles to make sure they were all ready to work, and nothing is awry. For the first few, everything seems to be in order. Wonderful! However, when he comes to the very first set of spikes, closer to the forest, he pauses. There was a figure standing there, on the other side, and they didn’t look very... Monstery. Skin instead of scales or complete lack thereof, hair instead of spines or fur, eyes that weren’t yellow or glowing... No, that wasn’t very monster-like at all! Puffing out his chest, Papyrus walks to his side of the spikes to address this not-very-monsterly person.
“EXCUSE ME! YOU WOULDN’T HAPPEN TO BE... A HUMAN, WOULD YOU?”
