I’ve always felt something strange with the scene after Eggsy sees Harry dying in front of the church. The scene where we can see Eggsy pouring himself a glass of scotch.

I feel something wrong with this, something…odd, for so to speak. Finally, I know what it was.

Is the way Eggsy hesitates before taking seat at the head of the table. Because it’s not just a slow movement because he’s in so much pain. HE JUST STOPS AND STARES AT THE FUCKING CHAIR before sitting on it.

And now I know that this was because it was Harry’s chair. Eggsy’d have easily sat in his own. He obviously felt that his legs couldn’t hold him anymore, so the next logical step to do is taking a seat in the nearest chair, what is, in fact, Eggsy’s chair. But no, he chooses Harry’s instead. And it’s easy to guess why.

He obviously has such good memories of this place. Harry lecturing him about his shitty table manners. Learning how to use a knife and a fork properly. So many breakfasts, so many lunchs so many moments shared together, now lost forever.

He can’t stand the tought of seeing Harry’s chair empty. Maybe he never will be able to sit in another chair that isn’t Harry’s.
