Okay so I saw Dog Day afternoon on Broadway tonight (round 2) and there’s a scene in the second act where Sal (Ebon) is upset about the donuts and coffee the cops gave them in exchange for a hostage and the first time I saw it, Sal knocks the boxes of donuts to the floor and scares everyone but this time, he knocked the first box to the floor and then he took the second box and rubbed it against his crotch for an extended bit and, based on my seat, I could see Sonny (Jon) and he literally cracked and had to hide his face in his arms like he was exasperated but he couldn’t stop smiling at Ebon’s ad-lib.

I was about to say it’s been so long (2009 Yankees) since a New York sports team won a championship that I forgot how good it feels, and then I remembered the 2012 Giants. And then I remembered that two professional women’s teams have won in the last eight years (2018 Riveters and 2024 Liberty) and I was like, oh, it’s just that the men’s teams suck here. Thankfully though, we have Jalen Brunson so now I can remember what it feels like to be proud of male athletes again.

Hi, Yarrow! A possum wandered into my backyard a few minutes ago and ambled around for a while and then went into the house I have for feral cats. It’s 10AM and about 80 degrees on the east coast and you are the only person I know who knows about wildlife. Should I be worried/could it be sick, or is this normal possum behavior? Thank you!

I’ve never seen a possum in my life! honestly it’s probably fine just looking for a shady spot to lie down BUT you should call your state’s fish and game line to be safe. they might have you trap it or they might say oh yeah that’s Jerry he’s a known quantity and he’s probably curling up with your feral cats.
