If someone is visibly upset and says that they can't talk about it right now when you ask, it is not your cue to start grilling them and guessing about what might be wrong. That's your cue to either back away and give that person space, facilitate their escape from the area, or offer a hug and silent comfort. One of my coworkers kept pushing and pushing me when I was visibly in a very agitated state, and I got so enraged that I ended up throwing my phone across the room so I so I wouldn't punch them. Now I have to buy a new phone. Learn to respect people's wishes and needs when they are upset.
