I think the hardest part about addressing child abuse is getting people to acknowledge, not just intellectually but actually responding accordingly, is that the biggest threat to children, the biggest risk of abuse, is family and parents.

it is of course most often parents who are crowing about needing to protect children (often against far smaller threats than family), and pointing out that they are, statistically, the biggest threat to their kids is not gonna be received well.

So to say the least I’m stressed out, I was forced to take a quiz I was unable to study for because I didn’t grab everything from my locker yesterday. Had a mental breakdown, kept crying for another hour once I got home- literally made myself sit at the table and do homework, realized I forgot something again- started crying some more, mom tells me to take a nap and start over once I wake up, that helps, I’m supposed to be asleep before 10:30- I’ve been doing work for almost 5 hours since I woke up.

Well I did some scrolling on Tumblr and uhhhh majority of the people on that blog are not happy with the Netflix series Q-Force at all… Apparently through the eyes of someone straight like me it looks like everyday LGBTQIA+

However now that I’ve read through many comment sections I’ve gained a second perspective to it and it actually appears to be very stereotypical.

At first when I read the description I was like, “ok. Taking the next step with LGBTQIA+ representation! Wonderful!”

Now taking a second glance, there’s not much diversity with ethnicity and the name of the series???

Might as well call it a slur.

Netflix needs to re route this entire series. Or not make it a series at all. This is so not ok.

I may be straight, but I’m not homophobic. Sure I’m Christian- but I don’t let that affect my outlook on close people I know who are apart of the LGBTQIA+ community.
