//I’ve almost done it before my hiatus and now I’ve found even more incentive. While I do enjoy some features of this being a secondary blog, I really miss having the option to send asks.

And Kageyama and Akaashi just don’t really mingle with the same crowd. So my dash’s been a bit of a mess with all sorts of people.

Additionally Akaashi really has quite developed in my head, so it’s time to give him his own blog.

After weighing my options, I decided to give him a new start. Which means:

I will continue with the Hogwarts AU on this blog.

I am not dropping planned and plotted threads I have started here. I’d love to play those to an end, because I value all we’ve talked about.

I will not start any new threads whatsoever. (Unless you’re part of the AU-group)

I’ve updated and partially rewritten rules and headcanons, so if you follow me over to the new blog, please read them again.

The blog will still be marked as NSFW be ready to accept that.

Served him right that he was pouting now! Akaashi was not going to be the blushing maiden for him. He was no girl. Taking the hand, he let himself be pulled back to his feet, but then bent down to gather the blanket and the water bottles.

Life was pretty funny sometimes, wasn’t it?

At least the setter had not expected to leave this roof or even the camp for that matter as someone with a boyfriend. He pretty much expected that he would not find any sort of boyfriend until he was in university and had the possibility to actually go and explore those parts of Tokyo where he would know it was okay to actually chat up another man. - A though he found slightly disturbing though.

But honestly, this was way better than everything he made up to be possible in his head. That brought the smirk back to his face.

And he kept it all the way down until they reached the dorm. Only then did he let his usual expression take over and checked with a short glance over his shoulder if Bokuto was presentable, too. Yep. So he slid the door open.

“Alright, time to sleep. Everyone back to their own futon. Lights out in five minutes.” His tone was back to being composed and carried enough authority to challenge anyone to question him. He didn’t care the least about the fact that pretty much three quarter of the room’s occupants were older than him.

Someone just kill him, please. Akaashi groaned and pulled his hands back to bury his face in them and hide in the most childish way possible.

How did this happen all of a sudden? He’d been afraid of pushing Bokuto out of his comfort zone with as much as a kiss. And now he was the one hiding his face in his hands, red as a tomato.

Screw you, too life.

“That’s not fair.” He mumbled and the best thing he could come up  with was screw it all back and just lean down for another kiss, collect himself and then escape the ace’s grip before he could surprise him yet again!

“Alright, down we go. As much as I’m enjoying this. I do not want to be caught. Come on, captain.”

Here he was, completely giddy about Bokuto smiling like an idiot leaning into his hands... having kissed him, was willing to do that again.

And he wasn’t even dreaming. Because that threat of a teacher or someone showing up was a bit too real.

And then the gushing in his head screeched to a halt all over again. He blinked and stared at Bokuto, the colour in his face gradually rising again.

Holy shit.

Teenage hormones incoming - once more. He’d been about ready to accept that they would end up snogging somewhere in hiding for the next few weeks and was already perfectly happy with that idea! Now he was a little flustered. (More than a little.)

Air? Was that something he needed? Perhaps. Akaashi had unconsciously managed to take a breath or two through his nose, so he wasn’t too bad off and a little disappointed when it ended. There was a lot more that he wanted to do, lips were just the thing to start out with.

But it was favourable if Bokuto would be conscious for that, too. And he definitely looked out of breath, so Akaashi forgave him for pulling away. And started picking up on those more responsible thoughts again. The ones that brought the blood back to his face, because he was very much ravishing his captain’s lips. Heh.

“No, I’m just pretending that I’m practically ready to snog you on a school roof with a very unlocked door in plain sight.” He snorted.

“Yes, Bokuto-san I would love to go out with you.” And he finally, finally ran his fingers through that grey and black hair, relishing the feel of it.

Shit!

Tricky question that can only be fucked up! Did Bokuto smell something and was dreading it now? He wouldn’t want to tell him the truth in that case and make him feel awkward around himself... not when he just gave him his trust like that.

But what if he DID want it confirmed? If Akaashi played cool in that case he would most certainly CRUSH Bokuto. And for that matter bite right into his own ass.

Well shit, what should he do now? That was not a decision he could make in a split second and he was most likely starting to show a little bit of panic in his face which he should be stopping...

now.

The setter’s brain shut down and he was so startled that he actually stiffened up for a moment. Did he fall asleep and was starting to have a highly inapropriate dream laying right next to the ace? Well, that would be very uncomfortable later.

But he had Bokuto’s lips on his own and he was not ready to let them go again just yet.

Deal with consequences later.

A nimble pair of hands snuck forward, the left grabbing on to the other’s t-shirt’s collar at the crook of his neck and the right one snuck by on the other side, burying itself in the soft, lightly damp hair behind the owl’s ear.

He got up on his knees and tilted his head a bit to the side and pressed back, before he started to get a feel all over Bokuto’s lips. Somewhere in the back of his mind he thought about the weird noises that made, but hell if he cared about sounding strange. This was better than his usual sneaky dreams.

That was not fair...

That was so not fair. Akaashi turned his head and hid his face in Bokuto’s shoulder, clearly aware of how red his face must be now. There he was trying to make this look casual and get all the cheesy things out of his head and Bokuto goes and says something like THIS.

Why was life screwing him over like this? He wanted to moan. Why did he fall for someone so innocent?

“I like you, too, Bokuto-san.” Very much so, very much less innocently so. But he was pretty sure that was not on the ace’s mind. He pushed back the urge to just fuck it all and kiss him and slowly pulled back, trying to smile and ignore his ebarrassedly flushed face.

“We should go down now, though.”

Oh God, he was in deep shit, very, very deep. He didn’t flinch back or gave any other signs of discomfort when Bokuto seemingly wanted to make sure it was okay to hug, even though Akaashi was the one who asked in the first place.

And the setter just resigned and melted into it. Woah, okay and he was just literally pulled into it, bless Bokuto’s strength, though he didn’t mind that at all, definitely not. He lifted his own arms to settle them around the firm body and dropped his head to the other’s shoulder too.

Bokuto smelled good. He liked that body wash, but he also liked that underlying scent and geez, was he cheesy... He was probably worse than his bratty little sister and her boy-talk.

It was a good thing that they were alone, no one there to judge or make fun of them, so Keiji actually dared to just relax and screw that responsible part of his brain for a little moment.

“It seems to get more quiet down there. We should probably head back down, Bokuto-san. Before the advisor comes checking.” Or before they were gone too long and the guys stopped thinking it would just be the vice-captain taking care of the captain’s mood and morph into stupid jokes.

Following Bokuto’s eyes Akaashi noticed as well, his hand was actually bigger. Although despite having slightly bigger hands, to him Bokuto’s looked still stronger. Not really a surprise there. He slammed those balls down with a force Akaashi could never even attempt to. But that was fine, he was okay with doing the more delicate job of setting it up.

Aside from that though... his brain really, badly should stop seeing the possible romantic and intimate notions in the ace’s words. It was a great honour to have his trust and that was something he would never let down.

But he couldn’t help the warm smile that crept on his face and he caved in to sit down again. He tried not to cave in and just hug the giant owl.

“Do you want a hug then, Bokuto-san?” No, no! He shouldn’t be asking that, damn it, but the words have already slipped out.

Oh God, how could he make a fucking owl-pun in a moment like this? That was so smooth it almost made the setter laugh. Relived he didn’t push the big dork out of his comfort zone. He wouldn’t make stupid puns if he was uncomfortable. Well at least he wasn’t making the jokes sound so comfortably if he was.

Akaashi was surpised that his hand was grabbed, though. Not quite sure how to handle that. Which turned into completely lost about how to handle that when he was told that it was nice.

He brought Bokuto up to the roof to get away from all the noise and crowd, so he could rest and sort himself out. He knew that Bokuto may like physical contact when he was in his happy moments, but well... not really when recharging?

“Bokuto-san?” He inquired, perhaps a little uncertain. “I just thought I was crowding you. Are you comfortable with contact when you’re trying to relax?”

No Akaashi! That would not be of any help if you start innocent cuddles with him.

He’d be completely doomed if he did that. The occasional hug to praise Bokuto was probably already bad enough.

“Most and I actually dare admitting to the fact that we did have a few third years last year that were no better.

“You’re hoping for that team from Miyagi as well, don’t you? The one that your coach invited to the camp?”

At least they seemed fairly invested with the Nekoma team and if he’d heard right then Nekoma had been up north for a few away games prior to that. Akaashi wasn’t exactly keeping tabs though, but he was someone that did not easily forget things he’d once heard floating around. Especially when it came to volleyball.

“They could certainly prove to be interesting, too. That tiny spiker has been soaking up Bokuto’s most idiotic advices...” And as idiotic as they sometimes seemed, a lot of them had a weirdly genius vibe to them.

“And I’ve got an almost foreboding feeling about that first year setter. I’ve seen Kenma eyeing him, too.”

It would be a change to the notoriously power hunting Shiratorizawa he’d seen last year. Although Bokuto had had a fairly strange reaction to their ace as well.

“Thank you.” Akaashi coughed out as he took the towel to wipe the rest of his face. The now rather large damp spot on his T-shirt he ignored. That would be dry soon anyways.

Questioning if the pats to his back actually helped in a scientifically proven way, he figured that it didn’t matter, because it felt like they would help and that was more important. At least his lungs felt like they could start relaxing again.

The question made the setter nod, yes, it was better again, but he winded himself a little with that and before he could really think about what he was doing he just let go of his breath in a huff and dropped his head onto Bokuto’s shoulder.

That relaxed bliss lasted for approximately a second, maybe two and then realisation hit him. Fuck.

Hastily and almost stumbling he pulled back and tried to practically jump to his feet.

“Bokuto-san... I’m- ah, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do that.” What the hell was he doing? He was here to help Bokuto stock back up on spoons, not draining him with being physically overwhelming and giving him emotional shit to deal with.

And suddenly he also realised that there had been a hand on his back holding him, very intimately... it was a good thing that his face was already flushed with embarrassment.

Shit, he was in way over his head here.

Ah, no they were definitely not the only ones. The voices drifted up from all over. And in fact, he wasn’t sure, but he thought he’d seen some of the younger coaches and advisors leave the place a bit earlier. Probably going drinking in town. It was summer vacation after all.

“Good.” Not that he had anything with him that he would have kept a secret and his phone was in his pocket up here anyways, there was nothing incriminating for him downstairs. But it was on principle, his stuff was his.

“Yeah, we probably should. But let that bit be in five or ten minutes, please.” It was too nice out here.

Though the setter turned his face back to the stars. Bokuto’s upside down smirk was too cute and he most certainly did not want to answer a question about why he was blushing all of a sudden. Also he suddenly had an inexplicable urge to mess with the ace’s hair. Not the best idea, mind you. At least not if he wanted to keep this stupid crush to himself.

In a moment of teenage stupidity he got the brilliant idea to distract with a simple drink of water and plucked the bottle off his stomach. It all went well with opening it up, but it was still too full to tip over while he was flat on his back and only lifted his head... so he ended up with a good bit of water right in his face and in surprise he tried inhaling another gulp.

Coughing and now with a definitely red face, he sat up and wiped the water out of his eyes. As much as he was irritated with himself... it was kind of funny, in a very stupid way, so a few chuckles mixed into the coughing.

“Either way it ends, I hope it’s enough to rematch at the nationals again. Would be a pity not to have at least someone around that we enjoy mingling with this year. Last year was all prancing and seizing up each other. That was rather ridiculous at times.”

And it wasn’t just ridiculous how some teams and players tried to present themselves - most likely hoping for a scout to take notice -  it was also exhausting. Perhaps it had been worse for him because he was a meager first year and others could preen with how much more developed they looked next to him. Something he was just going to ignore this year. That and he’d gained some muscle, too.

“Someone had to get them down a notch. I don’t want to do extra laps in this heat tomorrow.” And who knew what kind of idea the coach or the advisor may get if they were too loud for the adults to sleep. It certainly was not for entirely selfless reasons that he went in there earlier.

And as if on cue there was a louder noise and a yelp he did recognise as being a Fukurodani student. It carried up to the roof easily, as most dorms had their windows wide open in hopes of catching a cool draft of night air.

Then there was another yell, one of a voice less familiar to him. But the few words he caught seemed to have a Kanto-dialect, so most likely one of Nekoma’s members.

Even if it was annoying on occasion, in the end, it also was quite amusing. Especially when he was sitting up here a safe distance away.

Then there was a very female shriek.

“Say, captain, would you terribly mind if anyone that messes with our stuff while we are here ends up being mysteriously choked by their blanket when we wake up tomorrow morning?” He tilted his head to the side, now smirking at the ace.

“I think it’s going to be an interesting match.”

And yes, Kuroo did know Bokuto very well, but so did Akaashi. He knew the captain well enough to have some influences and Kuroo did not know which way that would go if he talked to the spiker. And not only that, he had a whole bunch of other attackers at his hands. He was more than ready to confuse the lanky bedhead from blocking properly.

Though it would be hard, that was obvious, just as much as going to see through Kenma’s adaptions he was sure the Nekoma setter was going to make according to how the game would evolve.
