I haven't actually finished any Snaptrap doodles in a while, and recently got the pencil pack from Lunatiusca (via gumroad!) so my little collection of lucky cat themed snaps all got finished doodles from old scribbles. Features my sleek Key, hooded Kin, and two standards Koin and Matcha <3333 I am always on the lookout to add more~ :3c just to put it out there lol

Anatomy practice turned sketches into characters, basic doodles into brush testing & lighting practice Oops~ Knox is a rival of Ryder's, i recently adapted an old character (from way way back in the Mei days, he was more reptile than hyena so boy got some changes) into him and I'm fleshing out the design lol i like the idea of him trying to keep a mowhawk going, but having curly hair so it sort of flops. He's missing two fingers because he pissed off a certain lion man :> there were negotiations Knox was not allowed to be apart of that narrowed it down from a hand to just two fingers. Lucky duck!

But i do like the pose! Was a good exercise in practicing some perspective while also noticing and accepting faults I can improve on later uvu all things I'm working on~

Cha-key-daaayyyy~~ I spent the weekend fiddling around with drabbles to try and solidify her more than bullet notes and MAN. I love her lol Here are some inspos for the lady lion
Is it corny to put a lioness down for a lioness lady? Possibly. But Nala's combination of tough ass and soft spot is a really good fit.
At her core, she's a regulator. Keeping Rassa's dumb ass in check while also making sure he's not actually losing it emotionally. Because the man is typically horrendous at emotional health.
Absolutely loyal to his lead but won't be silent if she thinks he's steering them in the wrong direction.
IN MY HEAD she's a darker Morena Baccarin lol IDK if its the usually short hair (Cha's never goes past her jaw), the strong features, or the long neck; but she fits the vision lol Ethically a little grey but good human in the long run - despite a bit of rogue-like status. Or at least in the moment.
While in general she is a good person, she does have a hard time letting go of peoples faults / wrongdoings. Especially when done against people she cares about. She's really not good at hiding her expressions or attitudes once she gets in her head that she doesn't like someone.
More on the visual, a little bit on the attitude~ being educated (this is what she's doing after meeting Ras and sending him back home without her...for the time being) Chakide is well used to dealing with people that need a verbal smackdown.
While a good deal of her natural strengths are physical, her magic requires a brain and quick thinking. She leaves physical strength up to nature and trains much harder on the intellectual side. Especially once she realizes doing so might be able to help.
Orb friends love outdoor enrichment.

Savina Inspo Board
And now, Savina. The Black Witch of the Desert. The Serpent.
Perpetual thorn in Rassa & Joka's asses. Why the dragon thought locking her in the desert where he could keep a far-too-close eye on her was a good thing, Ras will never know.
Savina is at heart, a black hole of power. Those that follow her no longer have possession of their free-will, so she really doesn't need to worry about coups or betrayals (unlike big OG inspo Fish)
That last gif is how I see her greeting Rassa everytime he comes to try and kill her. Another attempt? How lovely, lets catch up~

Despite murdering her coven in exchange for the top slot of power, she quite enjoys having someone to go toe-to-toe with. Enough so that she allows Rassa to continue trying to stop her. As futile as that may be most years. Instead of a whoosh of black smoke, she's often disappearing into the sands... was she actually there in the first place? Who knows.
Obvs super recent - but omg Rio Rio Rio! So many good playfully evil vibes here. Maybe Sav while she's in her power years; not worried at all about what others might do, but enjoying the little stretch of her powers needed for a good fight.

Ryder is always a vibe, a bloodthirsty reckless one usually...but a vibe nonetheless.
I really need to redo some of her refs and get her a little more sorted, but for the time being she's still fun to draw and whip around like the old days.
Lena Bosko / Ronda Rousey just ugh. PERFECT. Especially when she's in that 'I will absolutely beat the hell out of you and laugh while doing it' mood. Has the ability to listen and help out, but uuusaally in a much more Yena way than what someone would think. Without her spear she's a brawler at heart - fists n elbows till the twitching stops.
Also mid fight cracking a grin or laughing is 100% how she deals with almost anything. Asking her to behave for like a minute is asking a LOT, she's got shit to disturb thank you very much.
Scream it from the back, SAMURIDER! Shania West a legend, one of the biggest badasses there is~ The amount of time I've spent just watching how insanely powerful she is in every movement is probably too long. But her fighting style is so up there with what I want for Ryder's movements in my head.
Just, the raw FORCE going into what would be hits. Changing, adapting, adjusting on the spot. Although with Ryder it's more instinct than skill, but what can ya do~
There are two hyena moods. Goofy and learning how to quadraped- or murder hungry monster demon.
Lastly, Ryder eats. Eats like she means it and you better watch your limbs. She makes the trip to Bohann not only to bother the resident leader there, but also to raid his stores for anything tasty. What's he gonna do, starve to death? Tch.

Honestly anything Quentin Emery is just. Peak peak Rass & Saliq. This man is the main reason my tiktok is even checked these days lmao So many 10/10 references of that wonderful horseman connection.
Rassa vibes~ both linguistically (Clay) and more casually Shunsui. The latter being the original inspiration for his design (esp the hat) back in like...2014 lol He's since faded off from his lazy POS attitude for the most part. Some of the time.
Recently been rewatching Reacher, because that is a LORGE man and his fighting tactics match what's been in my head for years SO well. Not just big tackle grabs. But the wild yet practiced burst of energy I imagine a lion man would have.

Catch me screaming about Bohannon all the time. His attitude towards rebuilding the town really took over my ideas for Rassa, to the point of naming Ras' town after him lol. The change was such a great addition to the little bits of Rassa that had evolved over time it fit so well~ absolutely as he gets into his older more weathered years. Especially that grin in between being absolutely tired of everyone's shit lol
Bonus Saliq inspooos~ Honestly the amount of sass Khan puts out is stellar. I love him. and of course, the undying centuries of loyalty with Brego. The trot is just what I imagine he looks like after kicking Ryder's ass and giving himself a victory lap. It'll be a common enough occurrence.
