she   could   have   hid   it   better   .   could   have   acted   just   a   little   more   naturally   ,   a   little   less   worked   up   when   they   carried   him   in   –   right   past   her   eyes   .   hazel   ones   glued   to   his   face   ,   lips   standing   slightly   agape:   how   could   she   have   hid   it   any   better   ?   how   could   filiz   have   pretended   ,   in   the   middle   of   all   of   this   ,   that   this   wasn't   a   familiar   face   .   distantly   familiar   but   nevertheless   –   she   knew   him   .   and   kerem   had   known   it   too   .   unfortunately   ,   that   came   with   knowing   each   other   so   well   ,   knowing   each   other   so   intensively   .

she   had   one   chance   only   .   knew   that   if   the   husband   found   out   she   went   to   talk   to   him   ,   it'd   only   mean   trouble   for   her   .   it   was   worth   it   .   it   had   to   be   !   if   they   crossed   paths   again   in   the   middle   of   the   apocalypse   ,   there   had   to   be   a   reason   for   it   .

"   hey   ...   "   tips   of   her   fingers   gently   nudging   his   shoulder   in   an   attempt   to   wake   him   up   .   he   probably   needed   the   rest   ,   needed   it   badly   .   yet   ,   there   wasn't   enough   time   to   wait   until   he   woke   up   and   they   could   chat   .   "   wake   up   .   "   hair   pushed   back   behind   her   ear   ,   filiz   leans   over   him   to   see   if   he'd   open   his   eyes   .   would   he   even   remember   her   ?   the   connection   to   distant   maybe   ?   the   last   time   their   eyes   had   met   months   and   months   in   the   past   ,   in   the   middle   of   chaos   and   violence   ,   in   the   middle   of   the   fight   of   survival   .   there   was   a   good   chance   he   didn't   know   who   she   was   however   ,   that   small   glimpse   of   hope   to   be   united   with   someone   who'd   mean   just   the   tiniest   amount   of   comfort   ...   it   caused   her   to   continue   trying   .   "   hey   ,   can   you   hear   me   ?!   "   @ofcured

when   her   friend   had   brought   it   up   at   first   ,   filiz   hadn't   thought   much   of   it   .   did   it   even   matter   that   much   what   he   did   for   a   living   ?   he   had   clients   and   irregular   working   hours   .   customer   service   ,   possibly   ?   even   though   brunette   had   shrugged   off   the   conversation   ,   the   question   kept   coming   back   to   her   .   bucky   knew   all   about   her   work   life   .   by   now   he   was   such   an   essential   part   of   it   too   –   taking   up   on   phone   duty   ,   helping   her   with   papers   ,   making   sure   stock   was   up   to   date   .   but   maybe   her   friend   had   been   right   to   ask   .   what   did   he   really   do   for   a   living   ?   where   did   he   vanish   to   for   hours   and   hours   ?   thinking   about   it   more   and   more   didn't   help   .   question   burning   its   way   through   her   thoughts   the   longer   it   remained   unanswered   .

they   were   close   to   drifting   off   .   it   was   easy   to   relax   ,   so   easy   now   that   they   planned   on   moving   to   their   shared   apartment   in   just   a   few   days   .   their   life   was   good   .   relationship   healthy   .   filiz   completely   in   love   .   in   it   so   deeply   ,   she   could   barely   think   about   anything   but   him   all   day   .   and   she   felt   loved   too   .   felt   it   each   time   that   his   fingers   brushed   past   her   skin   ,   lips   met   hers   ,   each   time   that   he   held   the   door   for   her   and   proposed   another   lovely   date   idea   .   why   did   that   question   about   his   work   feel   so   heavy   then   ?   it   really   didn't   play   much   of   a   role   ...   did   it   ?

ok but a plot where exes live together… they can’t afford to live somewhere else for the time being so they figure staying in the same apartment they’ve spend in as couple for months/years is the only temporary solution for now… give me the constant confrontation of watching each other date other people, realizations that what muse a never did with muse b, they do better with their new fling/partner and what muse b could never give muse a, muse a now receives from new partner etc etc. the jealousy, lingering bitterness, out of spite still flirting with each other, hooking up on the nights they drink a little too much or maybe indifference and realizing they consider each other as platonic soulmates, because romance doesn’t work for them???

the corners of his lips curl inward as he purses his lips in response , accompanied by scrunched brows " hm " he thinks before speaking " well , i guess i can see where you're coming from . you've only seen me in loungewear " bucky's been here three times & he has been very close to having a heart attack from the bill . this is not a restaurant that he's met clients at , or had meetings at . strictly ---- with friends . except for now . bucky raises his glass to fil , who sits under the light from above like she were an ethereal flower . he meets her in the middle with a cheers before raising his glass . she stares into his eyes while they each take a sip and he can feel his heart race .
