Djism
Rot10 Musik's Mr. Skeleton Getting down on a djm 2000 showing that you can throw down technically dope dj sets on equipment other than TT's. Peep it.
Another beautiful example of controllerism & turntablism combined.
Djism
I love cotrollerism and turntablism and I'll be periodically posting some of my fav videos of each. To start things off, this video of both being performed in harmony was just post over at djtechtools.com by Qbert & Ean Golden. Peep it.
Dig of the Week
I can most def say that Toadally Krossed Out has some of the most original music I've heard. That's why they inspire me. It's 25% weird, 25% outrageous, 25% wtf, 25% amazing. A subtle balance I hope to achieve in my music one day.

Not new, but I've been listening to it a lot lately. Starks & Stacy Remix is my fav.

Diplo vs Tiesto ft. Bust Rhymes- C'mon (Kid Quest Booty Remix)
I recently download a shit load of remix stems. This remix is not a product of those stems. I'll be releasing those remixes soon enough. Made this with the instrumental and a capella. My booty bass shaking remix to Diplo & Tiesto's C'mon. Enjoy.

Proxy posted pictures of his remodeled home studio on twitter. Damn...
The Minimalist's Turntable
While it''s not actually suitable for scratching, beat juggling, mixing, or any other Dj use for that matter, it's still kinda cool to look at. Just don't expect it to control Serato or Traktor. Designed by inventor RD Silva,
"Take a peek at this record player. It’s the kind that plays vinyl records, the 12″ kind, and it does it well with only the bare minimum. Fantastical! It’s called “Turnstyle” and it’s made up of the motor, the needle, the speakers, and the controls. What more do you need? It’s a skeleton of its former self, and not former as in it was stripped, former as in there’s no reason to ever go back to more!
This project is designed by RD Silver, a designer who has the guts to take away everything but the guts. The requirements for function set upon this project were the following: spin record, on/off, volume, speaker, and needle. As far as design requirements: no corners, no hard edges, no 90 degree angles. Simple? Simple. Send me 10."

Chicago Dig: Tiger+Gorilla=Dirty Beats
Yet another first. I'll be posting tracks weekly from Chicago artist. I realize that My EP of the week post was also from the Windy City, but what can I say...I'm a Chicagoan. This guy is Chi born, but grew up in Hong Kong/London (that still counts as a Chicago artist right?). He's a friend of mine and I've had the oppurtunity to watch his music develop since he first started producing. His music has grown a lot and at a rapid pace. This is the first track I'm posting from him and probably won't be the last. Check out Tigorilla.

The Nerdy Dj
I'm not shy to say that I'm a nerd about most things I like, djing/production included. That being said, I'll be frequently posting about dj/production software and gear that makes me drool. First up (the coming weeks will be filled with many firsts) is this kickass vst stutter effect from the same people that brought us the mastering plugin Ozone, Izotope. This will fit awesomely into my dj sets and production. Before I become self consumed in my nerdiness, vst stands for virtual studio technology for all of you none producer/dj folks out there. Google is your friend if you want more info than that. The vst is called Izotope Stutter Edit and while there are probably dozens of vst's/ways to get the glitch effect that has become a staple of many edm genres, this one manages to bring something new to the plate in a vst niche that is over saturated. Check it out.
"It's an effect. It's an instrument. It's Stutter Edit—an innovative tool for both studio and stage, designed by BT and developed by iZotope.
Tear up your tracks in real time, building thrilling fills, complex effects, shimmering sweeps, and staggering stutters that will leave your listeners screaming for more. They'll think you spent hours slaving over the slices…but all it took was a press of a key. (Don't worry, we won't tell.)
Push your performances and production into a new realm of musical intensity with Stutter Edit.
-Play effects like an instrument
-Remix in real-time, on stage or in the studio
-Cutting edge audio slicing and manipulation
-Elegant and intuitive MIDI control" http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/stutteredit/
EP of the Week
As I said before, I'll be starting up some weekly/biweekly/monthly articles. This first one will just be an EP I dig. First up from my hometown, Chicago, is Starfoxx. Being born and raised in Chicago I've always been influenced by juke. I remember recording Power 92's juke mixes on cassette tape as a kid. Starfoxxx 's juke/tribal house rythm's have been creating a buzz in the Chicago music scene and you can catch them playing at various venues in Chicago.

We're live
Welcome. I'll be posting general shit related to my music/mixes/remixes, so if you dig my stuff check back from time to time for updates on my newest releases and such. I'll also be post other peoples shit I dig related to edm, production, and djing. I'll be starting up some frequent articles in the coming days so check back.
Also I've been working on releasing an ep for a while now, but have yet to produce material I was satisfied with. It's mostly done now and I have some labels interested in releasing it! I'm pretty excited my first ep. More info coming sooooon.
New stuff coming soon.
