After a pause, she gasps. "I won't put them in danger...but I..." Two more gasps, and her voice trembles. "L...I don't want to die...I-I want to see you again..."

The message continues on with nothing but quiet gasps and sniffs for a while, until she can calm herself enough to speak again.

"I hope I will be reborn...To--to watch over them, and you... Please, L. Watch over them until I--"

Beep.

Shin sends a text to Rei telling her to meet him outside the gates of a nearby zoo and heads out to wait. And wait. And wait. Send some texts demanding her location. He waits until closing, then grumbles and angrily heads back to his office.

When he gets back, KT asks where he's been all day.

"I waited for Rei all day--"

Oh boy, the look on KT's face. That's right.

"Thank you for making my brother happy...I may be dead, very soon. If he has trouble with...with my death, if you could remind him how much I care for him. Please. Keep him safe and loved... I apologize for contacting you for this, but I want to keep them out of danger for now."

A pause. "...I...am not sure how to end a message like this. I have never been good with this. Something like...I wish you and my brother well. Take care..."

The message continues in silence before Doll's phone automatically ends it.

official notice, as if it wasn’t clear already: this blog (and all the blogs I reblog this post to) are on indefinite hiatus. I’m having some bad feelings towards this comm (which isn’t to say none of you are great and super fun to play with—MOST of you are wonderful, there’s just been too many shitty happenings here in rapid succession over the past few months for me to feel as comfortable as I once did.) and I feel that if I can focus on one blog, possibly two if I’m feeling it, it’ll be much easier to be here without my anxiety kicking into overdrive.

to be clear, I’ll be on saviorshinji mostly when I’m here. guardianrei will be on semi-hiatus, maybe? the rest consume a lot of emotional energy to run that I just don’t have anymore.

Shin touches her more than usual, which is strange to her. Just little gestures like a hand on her shoulder, or a pat on her arm, small reassuring touches.

usually when people touch her it's whatever. depending on who, they may or may not lose an arm. but shin doing it is a little jarring because he seems to notice what she's doing and why when she probably didn't notice herself hovering. is she so obvious?? is her guard down everywhere or just with him??? weird slightly vulnerable feelings towards him during this time

while kt's gone, rei hovers around shin a lot more than usual. she's watching for info, because she's sure if kt were to contact anyone he'd go for shin first. she's pretty worried, even if no one else can see it
