Leave what's out of your control and fix what's in your control!
Ibn ‘Abbās رضي الله عنه said:
“Verily with the good deed is:
• a brightness on the face
• a light in the heart
• a vastness in provision
• strength in the body
• love in the hearts of the creation
And verily with the evil deed is:
• darkness on the face
• blackness of the heart and grave
• weakness in the body
• deficiency in provision
• hate in the hearts of the creation”
[Ad-Dā Wa Ad-Dawā: 54]
Please dont forget this dua before leaving home
Bismillaahi, tawakkaltu 'alallaahi, wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata ‘ illaa billaah.
In the Name of Allah, I have placed my trust in Allah, there is no might and no power except by Allah.
“الَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَضِلَّ، أّوْ أُضَلَّ، أَوْ أَزِلَّ، أَوْ أُزَلَّ، أَوْ أَظْلِمَ، أَوْ أُظْلَمَ، أَوْ أَجْهَلَ، أَوْ يُجْهَلَ عَلَيَّ”.
Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a'oothu bika ‘an 'adhilla, 'aw 'udhalla, 'aw 'azilla, 'aw 'uzalla, 'aw 'adhlima, 'aw 'udhlama, 'aw 'ajhala 'aw yujhala 'alayya.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You lest I misguide others , or I am misguided by others , lest I cause others to err or I am caused to err , lest I abuse others or be abused, and lest I behave foolishly or meet with the foolishness of others.

Whenever you get the urge to scroll on your phone or waste time, open the Mushaf. If you’re outside or don’t have the Mushaf with you/ available, read Qur’an from your phone or from memory. And if, for whatever reason, you’re unable to read from your phone, keep your tongue busy with dhikr and istighfār.
There is always a way for one to show their love for Allāh عز وجل and strive to be among those whom He loves.
I promise you, by Allāh, that if you do this sincerely and consistently, you will see your life change. Just try it and see for yourself.
Sometimes, when life feels heavy and our hearts feel low… I remind myself of this one ayah, and it brings me peace every single time:
"Indeed, what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by." (Surah Ad-Duhaa, 93:4)
SubhanAllah, what a promise from our Rabb. He knows your journey. He sees your silent battles. And He has written beautiful things ahead for you. Hold on. Don’t lose hope. Better days will come, إن شاء الله 🌸
praying for others
Aboo ‘Abdullāh b. Khātib :
❝Aboo Ḥamdun had a scroll on which was written the names of 300 of his close friends and he used to supplicate for them, one by one, every night.❞
[صفات صفوة ١\٤٩٢]
When sadness overwhelms your heart, turn to prayer.
When pain weighs upon your soul, turn to the Qur’an.
When your chest feels heavy, seek Allah’s forgiveness.
When your hopes seem distant, raise your hands in sincere du’a.
And when this world leaves you empty-handed, remember that Allah has prepared Jannah for the patient believers a reward far greater than anything this dunya could ever offer.
Fixing your deen isn't only just praying regularly and reading Quran more frequently, it's also fixing your character, the way you behave when you interact with people, the vocabulary you use, the people you surround yourself with. It's about correcting your Akhlaaq.
كل هذا سيمر، ويذوب الضيق معه. فقط يمر هذا اليوم، وأنام، وغدًا سأكون أفضل، إن شاء الله.
This will all pass, and the heaviness will fade away with it. I just need this day to pass and to fall asleep. Tomorrow, In shā' Allāh, I'll be better.
Imam Ibn al-Qayyim said:
"Whoever increases in worries and sadness must recite: Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh."
- Zād al-Maʿād, Vol. 4, p. 183.
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said, sadness and depression will be relieved when the slaves realise that they have neither the power to avoid what has befallen them, nor to bring about what was not destined for them.
[Prophetic Medicine, pg. 236]
Imām Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“Grief weakens the heart, weakens determination, hurts a person's will and nothing is more beloved to Shaytan than a sad believer.”
📚Tareeq ul-Hijratayn 1/418
No matter what I face in life, I will always be okay because Allah is with me. He is the Best Protector, the Best Planner, and the One who takes care of all my affairs.
Ibn al-Jawzi (رحمه الله) said:
“Trusting people unconditionally and befriending anyone is one of the greatest mistakes, because the worst enemies are those who were once your friends, for they have been exposed to your secrets.”
Captured Thoughts, p. 408.
Remembrance Of Allaah,
The Most Difficult Deeds
Imām Ash-Shāfi’ī رحمه الله said:
“The most difficult deeds are three; to be generous when you have little, to fear Allāh when alone and to speak the truth to someone from whom you have hope for a worldly benefit or fear a punishment.”
[Tārikh Dimishq, 51/411.
