Look for Librarians at C2E2 this year, too!
Hello, Tumblrarians of Chicago & the surrounding areas!
Are you going to C2E2 this weekend? ZOMG! So are we!!! (Maybe we’ll think of it as a dress rehearsal for #ala2013?)
ALA’s Office for Intellectual Freedom and Office for Library Advocacy will be at the show spreading the word about how wonderful libraries and librarians are, and your humble Tumblog MC will be manning the booth. To be sure, we’ll also have some stuff going on especially for our wonderful Library Superheroes – YOU!
Stop by the booth!
Remember to stop by Booth # 1332 and pick up some swag and say hi to some ALA staffers (this is your chance to see us in costume :-P). We’ll have buttons, bookmarks, information about ALA, our campaigns and initiatives, the upcoming ALA Annual Conference in Chicago, and more.

Swag for Sale
We’ll have posters and t-shirts on-hand for sale. Proceeds are going to the Freedom to Read Foundation and Office for Intellectual Freedom and ALA. Stop by to shop, or better yet, bring your friends by to shop. We may even have some special deals!
Request a Quest!
At the ALA booth (#1332) you’ll be able to request a quest that will take you throughout the exhibit hall into the wild wilderness of parts unknown to meet new people, learn new things, and maybe do a little dance. Those brave and stalwart souls that complete their question successfully will be rewarded!
Look for our Roaming Little Free Library!
You may be familiar with the notion of little free libraries that have been springing up across the globe. These small boxes of books encourage passers-by to browse and take a book and leave a book if they can. How could we possibly improve on this idea? By adding a librarian, of course! Our Roaming Little Free Library will be staffed by a real-life librarian who can check out or collect books, answer reference questions, and provide some readers advisory.
*whew* It’s going to be a whirlwind show! We look forward to seeing you there!
