When he finally had caught up to her, his gaze was instantly drawn towards the view. It was clear by the expression plastered on his face that he was impressed or even astounded.
âMissy, this is incredibleâŠâ he exclaimed, finding a spot next to her âItâs almost romanticâŠâ
Instantly he felt himself looking towards Missy insread of the ocean itself, though his face now lacked the astounded look, it had shifted into a softer expression, an almost content smile.
âIâm glad you like it. Itâs a peaceful night today, thank god, sometimes there will be teenagers partying their asses on the beach over there.â the girl noted, her eyes trained on the beach that the cliff overlooked. âIâm surprised you managed to fit in here, but Iâm glad you did.â Missy added after a period of silence, almost as if it was an afterthought.Â
Finally after a short period of her gazing out into the ocean, thoughts lost in her head, she finally turned to look at Harper. âHey, wanna sit next to me? From where youâre standing, itâs a bit hard to get the full view and experience as well.â Patting the empty space on the rock she was sitting on as an open invitation for the taller male to accept.
âYouâre right, it is really is kinda romantic in a rather sappy way, never thought about it like that but I suppose perception changes when youâre with someone huh.âÂ

Takuma nodded, noting down her name into his head. Missy? Odd name, but charming. That mustâve been more of a nickname but heâd keep on calling her that, seeing that she prefers to use it. He shoved his hands into his pockets with a grin, turning around towards the coffee shop as he began to walk towards his. As the light shone down, his badges and logos wouldâve become more and more noticeable.
âAgain, Iâm really sorry about chasing you. Iâll be sure to not do that again.â He commented, hoping sheâd accept his apology as he opened the door to the small cafe, inside were some workers and a small line ahead with people ordering drinks. He got into a place, letting her line up next to him.
âWhat are you having Missy?â
âI want an iced latte! And a cookie as well.â Missy craned her neck out to see how long the queue was till they both reached the counter. âItâs alright, just try not to look so creepy while walking next time âkay?âÂ
While waiting for their turn to order the drinks, Missy took the time to look at Takuma. She had to admit, he did look so much nicer and kinder once he was underneath the light, in fact, she felt bad for even thinking he was a weirdo at all. The badges on his jacket caught her eye and she wondered why would he wear them there, wouldnât they be annoying when they got caught on a branch or something else?
âYo Takuma, why do you wear these badges on your sleeve? Donât you get sad if they fall off or get lost?âÂ

âAyyy, Missy!â Hyeon replied, waving over to her with his free hand as he slowly strolled over towards her. His entire body reeked of weed and ramanâŠas usual. âSo, how is my favorite ìčê”Ź?â
Hyeon carefully placed his plastic bag down, looking up at his friend with his usual cheesy grin as he extended his hand forward, hoping sheâd respond with their super secret handshake.
âYou bet I need weed again. I had to throw the rest away cuz my mom almost found my stash. I was this close to being able to get away with it until the garbage men came.â He searched around his pockets, looking up at Missy with a surprised grin.
âA-ahehâŠIâm short on cash at the moment. Care to join me on my trip to the ATM?â
âIâm doing fine Hyeon!â she chirped, hopping off the dumpster to meet her Korean friend. Responding to his outstretched hand with their secret handshake, she nodded her head towards him as greetings, glad to see her friend again even if he had just dropped by to buy some weed from her.
Hearing what Hyeon said, a flash of dissaproval crossed her face but was quickly replaced by her normal cheery appearance. âOh... you should have brought extra money before you came, but heck, Iâll follow you.â Missy replied, taking hold of his hand before dragging him out of the alleyway.
âWell? What are you waiting for? The faster you get the cash, the faster youâll be able to get the weed~~âÂ

The filth always congregated in the back-alleys at night. The dismal streets were silent save for the buzz of street lights and the occasional sounds of the drug addicts; Lau held no interest in the ones that were still awake.
He had used Ultranumb to enhance his sight and hearing, keen on picking out the slowed or laboured breath of anyone asleep or absolutely drugged out of consciousness. Sure enough, it didnât take very long to find someone with a near-stilled chest and pinpricks on both wrists. Lau stared down at the person, nothing but apathy in his eyes. There was no pity to be spared for those who purposely fell.
He briefly scanned over the alley; a few people watched him with vulture-like stares, but so long as none of them moved to stop him, Lau did not mind. A girl in particular stood out to him, though; she looked much better and alert than the rest in the alley. Was she a prostitute or something? Well, no matter. Sheâd be easier to fend off, should she intervene, than anyone who might crop up if he tried to find another target.
Satisfied that he would not be stopped, Lau crouched down to the unconscious individual and deftly began scouring through their pockets and belongings. He took everything that could be pawned off; he doubted the druggie would even wake up to miss their stuff.
Today was a slow night, nothing much happened except for her usual regulars coming to buy drugs from her, and even so it was merely a case of them handing over the money before snatching away their fix for the night, as if they were afraid she might try to cheat them out of it.Â
Well, at least until she saw the weird dude skulking around in the alleyway, her alleyway. What was he doing here, didnât he know that this was her teritory? Or was he just ignorant. Missy didnât believe that he was just an innocent person who wandered into a shady part of town, it would take a lot of convincing to get her to believe that story, if that was even the case. No, it was way more likely that he was up to no good.
She watched him like a hawk, perched on top of her normal spot upon a clean dumpster lid. If he tried anything suspicious, she would be onto him like a lion pouncing onto their prey.Â
âHey mask man! You think youâre so slick huh? Keep your greasy hands away from my friendâs pockets!â she called out the moment he bent down over the unconcious body of one of her customers who has been knocked unconcious by a mix of drugs and alcohol. No one was going to rob anyone, not on her watch at least.

Hyeon slowly left his momâs house, saying that he was going out to get some shopping for her and himself. It was a half lie really, he was mostly going to visit the dealer in town to see if he can get some more of that âgood stuffâ he loved ever so muchâŠbut first he might as well get those eggs and bacon his mom wanted, as well as those noodles he ever so loved.
Once down, he slowly made his way towards the alleyway, looking around with his shopping bag in his hand and his glasses down to make sure no one could recognize him (despite the fact almost everyone in Morioh knew who he was). He hoped she was around her somewhereâŠbut where?
âHello? Missy? You here today?â He asked, trying to be as quiet as possible.
âHyeon? Over here buddy!â She waved back from where she was perched on top of a semi clean dumpster, her small frame easily allowing her to go unnoticed by most people, Hyeon included. She knew why he had come to visit her today, mostly it was only for one reason. She was a drug dealer, and he wanted some of what she sold.
âYou need weed again? Really, you just came last week!â she faked a sigh of exasperation, reaching behind the dumpster to pull out a zip-loc bag full of a green plant. To be fair, she didnât really care how many times he came to her to buy drugs, what mattered was as long as he had the cash to pay.âYou know the rules dude, cash first and then Iâll hand over the goods.âÂ
Her hand was already outstretched, as if demanding money from the younger man.

Takuma chuckled, straightening out his hat so his appearance would look neat and tidy in front of the lady. She was quite the looker now that he was close enoughâŠbut he should focus on the fact she was going to whack his brains out if he stepped just an inch closer.
âEh, itâs alright. I understand what might be going through your heads when you see a talk guy in a trench coat run after you. AhahâŠha.â And with that bad joke out of the way Takuma decided it mightâve been the best idea to introduce himself, hell, he might as well buy her a drink as an apology.
âHey, sorry for scaring you and stuff. Iâm Takuma, a tourist here, is it possible to make up for scaring you by buying you a coffee?â He asked, pointing down towards the end of the alleyway towards a small coffee shop.
Alright, now that the guy seemed to have proven himself that he wasnât some random creep that Missy felt that she could just relax slightly. Adjusting her position to be more relaxed, she was now able to flash the stranger a semi friendly grin. Although she was still suspicious of the man, his actions allowed her more breathing room and less worries.Â
âTakuma? Nice name, Iâm Missy.â she decided to ignore the joke he made in an attempt to spare both of them the embarassment of a failed joke. âAnd Iâm always up for a free drink.â She recognized the coffee shop he was pointing at, it was one of the less frequented ones, but damn they did serve up a good espresso.Â
He couldnât be all that bad if he returned her wallet and offered to buy her a free drink, right?

Takuma ran and ran and ran, not giving up on this lady and her lost wallet. He had to aid her, not doing so wouldâve only make the situation worse. He carried on running until she was trapped, he bent down slightly in an attempt to catch his break, holding his knees as he began to slowly rise up and reveal to herâŠa wallet. Her wallet.
âIsâŠ*pant*âŠis his yours maâam? *pant*â He asked, obviously slightly worn out from all that jogging about. He started to wonder why he never joined that sports team in high school. âYouâŠyou dropped this a while backâŠI wasâŠhoping to give it back to you.â
Judging from that metal baseball bat, she mustâve been a sports personâŠyeah, definitely.
Her eyes widened at the sight of her purse, hell, that did belong to her. Maybe this guy wasnât some random creep that was stalking her? Had she really been wrong this whole time? God, if that was the case then Missy felt that she had made such a big fuss out of nothing.Â
Letting the bat drop to her side, she warily crept over to him, a hand outstretched ready to snatch her wallet back just in case the guy really did turn out to be a jerk and was using her wallet as bait to cause trouble for her.Â
âThanks.. I suppose. Maybe you arenât a creep after all.â she nodded her head as thanks, hand already retreating back to her side to place the small purse in her pocket.Â
