        ❝ is that so? ❞ motioning closer towards her on the couch they were both sat in, his brows raise mildly upon her statement as his hand absentmindedly lands on her leg. ❝ i don’t think cats are worse than stealing i just —- actually, y’know what, i do think cats are worse than stealing. cats are the worst. ❞ if you hadn’t notice already, theo isn’t really a feline enthusiast. ❝ i told my cleaning lady to leave and take the cat with her, obviously. ❞

        alaira hummed quietly as he was talking, seeing as she didn’t want to interrupt him but also didn’t want to stay silent. ‘’you know, you’re wrong,’’ she stated eventually, looking up at him in the process. ‘’and you’ve practically just purchased a cat, seeing as i’m gonna get a tiny kitten and it’ll be my life’s mission to get you to like the little ball of fur.’’ the girl continued, a small but proud smile gracing her face. ‘’i can’t believe you didn’t fire her when she stole from you, but you did fire her when she brought in a helpless animal that might’ve been close to dying due to starvation or lack of love.’’

ABEL.

“ not really planning on it, i just have to figure out a proper excuse,” abel sighed, as he buried his face into his hands. “ help me come up with something. fast. before she uys me a train ticket. ”

‘’is it really that hard for you to just say no to her?’’ alaira questioned again, this time folding her arms over one another. ‘’just tell her your band mates wanted to surprise you with a gig you’ve been trying to book for weeks and that y’all finally got it.’’ the girl suggested with a shrug.

CLARA.

“i didn’t mean to push you back,” clara smiles, a soft giggle escaping her lips. no matter what was going on in her life, seeing her friend was enough to lift her mood and bring a smile to her face. “it’s nothing, really– ’m just kind of preoccupied with school.”

‘’just preoccupied with school? that sounds boring, my dearest clara. i want details, every single, little, dirty one of ‘em.’’ alaira grinned as she once again pushed herself off of the wall, slinging her arm around the other’s shoulders. ‘’and while you catch me up on all the college drama, we should head out for some coffee.’’ she suggested.

        ❝ do you have any idea of how DREADFUL cats are? i caught one inside my condo this morning and i’m pretty sure he got inside because my cleaning lady let the window open. ❞ theo sighs lightly, closing his eyes for a second as he attempts not to get vexed at the mere thought of the occurrence he’s sharing with the other. ❝ i almost fired her when i caught her trying to steal from me but now this… it’s just too much. ❞

         ‘’and suddenly, you’re strangely unattractive.’’ alaira chimed in once he was finally done talking, the smallest hints of a teasing grin presented on her face as she lifted her laptop off her lap and placed it on the table so she could properly turn her body towards him. ‘’that you think cats are worse than stealing is one thing, but the more important thing is what you’ve done to the cat, so .. where are they?’’
