For the uninitiated with Newsies, the character of Crutchie is loosely inspired by a real newsboy who was part of the strike, known as Crutch Morris. Because of this, Crutchie’s last name is widely headcanoned to be “Morris.”

Before I made a tumblr account, I used to send anon asks to my favorite blogs under the Newsies tag, and I think it was in one of the answers to my asks? Someone misspelled “Crutchie” as “Crunchie” and for some reason, I thought it was the funniest thing since sliced bread.

So my URL is Crutchie’s Crunchie’s full name :)

my user was purely impulsive actually because i legit got tumblr like 3-4 months ago because i was in need of more fan content and it sorta also started because i wanted somewhere to actually do promo for my fics (and has since delved into chaos) and i thought halflitpages sounded like a writer blog (i have no idea). also i was speedrunning different ideas in my head and trying them out and this ended up being the first user that wasn’t already taken!

i created my username when i was 11 on pinterest and i didnt want my actual name on the account so i did the most me thing possible and googled how to do things that seem obvious but i am really confused about (how to think of a username). ANYWAY it just said to put two nouns together and call it a day so i just used first two things that popped into my head, so now zombiegrains is my username on everything until the end of time because then my mutals will not know who tf i am if i change it😭 but it wasn’t the worst thing a child at the time could come up with, plus i really like the letter z for some reason

I was either 15 or 16 and thought it was clever.

The funny thing is, at the time I didn't even really like peaches. The candy fuzzy peaches, sure. But actual peaches I hated the texture of. The fuzz on the skin gives me the ick. Now I like peaches a lot more as well as peach flavored things. Still gotta peel them tho.

oooohhh okay so basically i created my tumblr account on a whim dome 4 months ago, and i needed a whimsical, mysterious username 'cause i thought it would be cool. except i couldn't think past 'glorious' (it's half of my ao3), but then i remembered this one line from one of my songs : and so gloriously would they be gone, none shall know until the break of dawn

and i slapped those two words together and didn't think more :)
