Day two. My husband still hasnāt noticed the first.
Day 3, he still hasnāt said anything yet. So Iāve gotten more bold and placed this on his work desk.
Day 4, he found the third and first picture last night. When he found the first he laughed and started talking in his Sonic voice impression. Still hasnāt found the fridge ice cream wrapper.
Day 5, he found the fourth image and laughed. Trying to be more sneaky with this sunflower Sonic.
Day 6, he hasnāt noticed the flower picture yet. I put this in my art studio for motivation to get stuff done.
Day 7, āUh Meow?ā Is now our new bathroom decor.
Day 8, he hasnāt noticed the last few photos yet. So I photoshopped Sonicās head over him on one of our wedding photos.
Day 9, Friday callout in front of our video game shelf.
Day 10, Thistle now has her own photo of her hero. Meanwhile, my husband found the sunflower picture and the wedding picture. When he found the wedding photo he said, āWait, what is that? Who is this? Is that me? Haha! Chili dogs!ā Later he asked if this was a game.
Day 11, He thought the idea of the picture on Thistleās home was adorable. Now weāll see what he thinks about the one in his favorite car.
Day 12, he loved the car photo. Now Iāve placed this photo of my mom and I in the spare bedroom.
Day 13, since Thistle has her own photo of Sonic it only felt right to give Zorro one too.
Day 14, he approved of Zorroās new collar and found the game shelf photo as he was modding the gamecube to connect to our tv. So I placed this old goofy photo of my high school friends by our bed.
Day 15, he noticed Sonic in the picture from yesterday just stating, āAnd then there was Sonic.ā My favorite thing about all this is that he hasnāt taken any of these pictures down himself. So now I placed this in our kitchen.
Day 16, Put this in his weight room to motivate him. He found the kitchen picture and finally found the bathroom photo. He said, āUgh! Gremlin Sonic is just there and watches as you poop.ā
Day 17, for April Fools I changed his screens to Eggman.
Day 18, He laughed at the Eggman computer screens. Now we have more bathroom decor. In case he forgets where the toilet is.
Day 19, it was a big day for my husband. He came into my art studio to hug me and finally found golden ratio sonic and started laughing, then he went to work out and found muscular sonic. He wants a bigger poster version of it. Finally, he found toilet sign sonic. He said I make his life very funny. Weāll see if he feels the same after this sign I made for his car.
Day 20, he came home from work and immediately found me saying, āVery funny, I saw what you did to my car.ā Unfortunately no one has honked their horn at him yet. But I did add this safety message in our laundry room. Thanks, Sonic.
Day 21, Super Sonic around the six chaos hedgehogs.
Day 22, secret rings Sonic will keep the house warm in our fireplace. Husband has not noticed any new Sonicās yet.
Day 23, My husband came to me and said, āThereās a Sonic in our fireplace.ā I told him heās there to keep us warm. Now I have turned another wedding photo into a Sonic wedding. It has the blessing of these fellow hedgehogs.
Day 24, my husband found the wedding photo and the dryer warning photo, he told me he wonāt climb inside the dryer but once I take it down all bets are off. Later he said, āSo you know my family is coming over tomorrow for dinner right?ā I said yes. Then he said, āThe Sonic photos are all over the house.ā Then I said, āAre you asking me to stop and take them down?ā He said no because he thinks itās funny but thought I might want to take them down myself. We agreed to leave them up and when his family inevitably asks about them weāll tell them the sonic photos are like an Easter egg hunt. So hereās this Easter Sonic. Later he did ask if I was trying to perform psychological warfare on him with these Sonic photos.
Day 25, husband didnāt see Easter Sonic, even though he entered that room multiple times. His family also didnāt notice any of the Sonicās until after dinner. My brother in-law started laughing when he saw the picture of Sonic in the fireplace. Then my sister in-law mentioned she saw the presidentās photo in the cabinet but thought she was just seeing things. They laughed when I told them itās like an Easter egg hunt but with Sonic. I actually had to point out the edited photo of Sonicās head over my husband. So now I have decided to get more creative with this photo to see if my husband will read it.
Day 26, no new updates so hereās a frozen Sonic in the freezer.
Day 27, he thought frozen Sonic was cute. It got me thinking we donāt have enough positive messages in the house. So I fixed that by hanging this in his office.
Day 28, He found the Dankey Kang photo and asked if that really happened. So now I placed a picture of Sonic pasta by our soup cans.
Day 29, He found the Super Sonic picture by the chaos hedgehogs and said, āAw Sonic has babies.ā Then he found the live laugh love photo and went oh thatās cute and then he realized the Sonic faces in them and laughed and said, āOh good, it was a joke. I just didnāt want to hurt your feelings that I donāt like those signs.ā We agreed I should have made it said Live and Learn. So now I put this Sonic with his car in the garage.
One month, this has been going on for a month now. I applaud my husband for putting up with my garbage for this long.
Day 31, He found soup Sonic and trash can Sonic. So now I placed this Sonic on his prized Sega genesis/32X/Sega CD console.
Day 32, today we have acquired a Sonic powered fan. He thought the Sonic on his genesis was fitting. He also tried to guess how many Sonicās have taken over the house. He guessed 15.
Day 33, he found the sonic in the garage and the fan. He looked up and asked how long they were there for. So now I hid this sonic on the window behind the blinds so he is greeted by this Sonic in the morning.
Day 34, added Sonic rubber duck to the second bathroom so it has decor now too.
Day 35, As per suggestion, the Sonic signal! I couldnāt get it to project onto the ceiling or wall unfortunately. But this works too! My husband hasnāt noticed the last few Sonicās so he may think I have stopped.
Day 36, He still hasnāt noticed any of the new Sonicās. So now I have placed dead Sonic in the medicine cabinet. Because he needs medical attention.
Day 37, He finally discovered Easter Sonic while working on fixing his Xbox. He liked that Yoshi was by the picture. Now I placed these fashionable Sonicās on this dresser.
Day 38, My husband found the fashionable Sonicās and said we need to get Thistle, our pet hedgehog some clothes. Later I heard him laughing downstairs because he found the dead Sonic in the medicine cabinet. But the best part of the day was that we went to a game night activity and this dad came over to us during it and asked if we had the Sonic on our car and said he almost honked at us because of Sonk. Today though I have taped this bootleg Sonic wrapping paper over my art room closet door.
Day 39, It keeps going. Sonic stuffing his face full of chili dogs on the pantry door.
Day 40, this morning we got up really early to get ready for a doctors appointment and my husband saw the Sonicās covering the closet door and just said half asleep, āWhere did this come from?ā Later he wanted to know how I acquired Sonic wrapping paper. At breakfast he opened the pantry to see the Sonic picture there and just said, āHaha! Chili dogs!ā And then proceeded to get what he needed. I have more wrapping paper so I placed that over the desk in the spare bedroom.
Day 41, Trying to step up my game by replacing my old table centerpiece with this Sonic one.
Day 42, Another Sonic for my art studio. My husband finally found the Sonic in the window and the Sonic signal in the lamp. He said the signal will summon Sonic. He also loved the table sonic decor, telling Sonic to get off the table.
Day 43- 51, Iām going to be out of town for the next few days so I have prepared this for my husband to find in the mean time. You all are spared a few days of daily updates.
Day 52, back to our regularly scheduled updates! I hope you all enjoyed the break. I have placed this in the second spare roomās bathroom. My husband found my parting gift and thought it was hilarious. While I was gone though apparently his brother stopped by from out of town and was baffled by all the Sonicās.
Day 53, I hung this up in the basement. Word of advice if you are short, get help hanging up stuff like this. This took me forever get up and also try to even hold it. Also my husband threw away the toilet Sonic sign. He said he splashed water all over it on accident so I had to make a new one and told him that if he takes one down he has to take them all down. He agreed and apologized to the 52 other Sonicās in the house. Asking them not to spindash his head off.
Day 54, This Sonic on a stick watches over the car keys now.Ā
