Blues was walking down the streets of a town, the old green bag upon his back bouncing slightly with each step. He looked rather out of place amongst the townspeople but didn’t really seem to care or notice this fact. In fact the prototype seemed to be more interested in trying to talk to a cleaning drone that was picking up trash. It was mostly a one sided conversation but the robot was still trying to keep it going apparently. Props to him for trying..
Well. She was definitely lost. This was really not looking very good at all for her, because it’s not very good to be in one city one moment, and then have the world yanked out from under your feet and end up in a totally unfamiliar place. Is this time travel…? Quasar let out a sigh, rubbing her head as she stood up. Of course the reploid had also landed face first into the dirt. It’s just her luck… She’s looking entirely the other direction from Blues and the drone, not having noticed them in the slightest.
Blues didn’t really even notice the bot at first and was in the process of ending the conversation with the bot who only responded by stabbing a bottle with a stick. With a small wave of fairwell the prototype would move to walk head back into the woods. At least that was the plan until he spotted Quasar.
Was she a robot? She certainly looked the part..but he had never seen another humanoid like himself before.. Was it a trap?! Blues tensed up a slither of panic starting to course through his coding. If it was then how did h e find out where he was?? When did he find out?! During this internal mini panic attack it seems the prototype has been just staring directly at Quasar. Good job Blues, that’s not going to seem creepy at all.
She had her back turned to him right now, still trying to process how she ended up somewhere that… didn’t even feel like her own world. So if it was time travel, why her? She didn’t do anything, she wasn’t an important reploid. Did whatever do this just pick her out at random? Suddenly, she got that sensation that somebody was watching her and turned around, raising her eyebrows in surprise when she spotted the prototype there. Quasar slowly waved one hand, slightly awkwardly, wondering why he was staring.
Blues blinked, realizing the potential threat was now waving at him. Ahhhhhh. The robot took a step backwards now freaking out even more because s h e n o t i c e d him. If he ran off would she be able to catch him??? Blues did not know but was going to try anyways as he bolted off down the street and away from Quasar ,scarf whipping behind him.
Quasar watched him start running off, quickly wondering what she should do. Not follow him and be confused about why he ran, or… run after him, and try asking why? Her curiousity had already decided as it got the better of her, and she set off after Blues with a light jog.
Blues glanced back , noticing her following him with relative alarm. Nope nope nope nope. The third law in his coding beginning to drive him into even more of a panic. The robot leapt upwards and onto the top of a street lamp. Then kinda just clung to it like some sort of robo cat stuck in a tree.
“W-wait, I’m not–” Her hastily spoken words in an attempt to convey that she wasn’t hostile were cut off by her tripping on a crack in the pavement. Her yellow eyes got wide before she landed face-first onto concrete. Quasar just laid there for a few moments, mortified by her own clumsiness. This was going just great; the first robot she sees is scared, and then she goes and looks like an idiot…
He glanced down at the other with slight concern but decided not to come down. Not yet.“Er…are you okay? Also you’re not working for Doctor Light are ya?..” He adjusting his grip on the top of the street light to keep himself from falling off of it. “No offense or anything but I’ve never seen a humanoid humany bot before today and I have like 2000 reasons not to trust you…”
The darkish magenta-colored reploid sat up, rubbing her head in embarrassment. “Yeah, I’m fine…” She looked up at the light pole, raising both eyebrows. “I don’t work for anybody… Who’s Doctor Light?” Quasar doesn’t have much tact… But even if she did, she wouldn’t know that it’s a sensitive subject yet.
“Hm..“He nodded deciding that he should probably stay in on the street lamp for now. “Who is Dr. Light?? Everyone knows him in some way or form! His face is plastered everywhere on newspapers! How would you not know him?!” Blues spat , frowning in heightened distrust. The prototype seems to be fairly angry now..
Quasar recoiled slightly from his acidic tone of voice, her yellow gaze filled with confusion and dismay. “I-I’m lost, I’m not from around here– I have no idea where I am…” She stood up, frowning with a dejected expression on her face.
Blues listened to her claim, currently forcing himself to somewhat calm down. Yelling at the poor bot wasn’t probably going to help anything , no matter how much he wanted to. Expression unreadable , the prototype would decide to at least tell the girl which city she was in.” You’re in the outskirts of Mega-city.“
“Oh… Okay. Well, do you know directions to Abel City, by any chance?” Quasar didn’t have much hope for his response, though; the reploid had never heard of a Mega-city. She also didn’t realize how dangerous it could be to just reveal so much openly…
“No, not really. Then again I don’t bother learning most city names so that probably has something to do with it.“Blues replied, leaning slightly forwards on his perch as he scanned his memory for a city name of that sort."Sorry.” While monotone , his tone of speech was a upgrade from outright distrust..
Oh, well. There goes that hope… She shifted, still looking up at the prototype bot. "Who are you? Most reploids are taller than you are.” It was really just plain curiosity on her part.
"Blues…And what’s a reploid? "He questioned curiosity getting the better of him. Were they a new line of robots made by Dr. Light? The name certainly sounded more high-techy than a Sniper Joe or a Robot Master..
"Blues... Okay! Nice name... I'm Quasar..." She really hoped she hadn't already said her name; she couldn't recall if she had or not at this point. "And, uh... A reploid is... like me, y'know?" The robot made a wide hand gesture to herself. "Some reploids have more animal-like designs, but most of us look kind of like people."
