I went to Las Vegas over the weekend for my best friend's bachelor party. I haven't partied that hard in quite some time. Our crew was about 11 people deep and we did everything from pool parties, table service, clubbing, drinking, to gambling we all had a blast!

This past weekend my friends and I went on a 8-mile roundtrip hike to Monte Cristo. Having lived in PNW all my life I sometimes forget how scenic it really is.

Thank you Rei for being a part of my life for 15 years. That’s over half my lifetime. You brought so much happiness to an otherwise empty and cold household. I saw you grow from a puppy and live a long, happy life. I’m grateful that I was able to be with you until the very end.
I will miss you.
I just got back from a long overdue vacation to Seoul with two good friends of mine. I haven't been to S.Korea since 1998 so you can imagine my excitement. I have to say I fell in love with the city as soon as I got there. I'm the type of person that loves big cities and the fact that Seoul is a mega city was all the more exciting. The bright lights, the crowds of people, the delicious food, and the endless amounts of things you can do was all so much fun. I'll be going back soon, you can count on that!
What glorious weather we had this weekend in Seattle! It may have been the nicest stretch of weather we had so for in 2014. My friend Jen and I had some time to kill before heading to a wedding so we took advantage of the sunshine and explored the hidden crevices of SODO. I don't often wear suits or ties but the wedding was a great opportunity for me to "suit up!"

If you look in my closet you will see a lot of black and shades of grey. Another thing you'll see are boxes among boxes of sneakers. For this look I went with black-on-black-on-black.

Trying to Quench My Thirst
13 Jesus said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

This past week I've been reflecting on this encounter Jesus has with a Samaritan woman. The conversation centers around a well and water. Further into the chapter we learn that the woman has a history of unsuccessful marriages. Five to be exact. It's clear that she has been thirsting for love and attempted to quench it through relationships with men. In the end, however, she ends back at square one—thirsty.
I've been trying to quench my thirst for some time now. I've attempted to do so through friends, materials things, girls, and giving in to sin. Time after time this happens and like the Samaritan woman, I feel discouraged. But in the midst of my dissatisfaction Jesus extends his grace and offers me a drink. The desires and wants I have, although still present, in comparison, grows dim to the peace Jesus offers me.
Today's the first official day of Spring and you know what that means? Summer is just right around the corner! #DoinWork
Spent this past weekend in Portland celebrating a friend's birthday. We went shopping (tax-free!), ate at food carts and popular local restaurants, went out in the city, and just enjoyed each other's company.
I went hiking on Lake22 last month with 2 good friends of mine. Seattle and the PNW has some beautiful hiking trails. We only had our smartphones to rely on for photos but they were more than enough. The scenery was just that lovely.
